After making the video I realised I didn't quite talk enough about the Fractal North Case - BEST CASE OF THE YEAR? What do you think?
no.
Cant see those beautiful ram sticks with that case so gonna have to say no. nv5 is the way to go
Everyone knows the case If it's their cup of tea.
No it looks horrific.
Case of the century! It's the most beautiful PC case ever. I only wish they'd have given us a little more room to work with inside.
Your channel is so great. Unlike other channels, you don't assume that your viewers have millions and millions of dollars to spend on PC components. You have really good cost savings advice. Much appreciated.
Absolutely gorgeous build! You really can't go wrong with that Fractal North. I built with it back in March of this year using the ProArt Creator Wifi Z790 with the I5-13600k and the Zotac RTX 4070ti. I used a top mounted Cooler Master ML240 Illusion cooler. All the RGB is set to match the gold on the motherboard like you did and the gold on the Zotac matched well, too. I vertically mounted the GPU give it more of a "creator" look and less of a "gaming" look. It's all worked out well and the ML240 keeps it plenty cool.
Just under volted my 13600k by just 1 mv on my Asus B760, using the other microcode thingy option in the bios, droped the temps by 15c with no performance loss or crashing, highly recommend.
Or 100mv, can't remember but look for the guide specific for you mobo manufacture, honestly you wont regret it, especially on 14th gen.
I’m surprised you only have 185k Subscribers. You’ll definitely get a million or more soon if you keep up this good work (=
Great quality, great content and always playing in the background.
So glad you used this case and a rad up front..I'm currently trying to know what fans I can fit to get more airflow and you just proved anything works
Hey mate, the reason why your AIO is making more noise is because you have the pump/block too high specially having the tubes going down, air will get trapped either in the pump or the top region of the rad ( btw you said 35gb sticks xD )
Yup
Aye, so many things wrong with this build >_
Dude i found your channel TODAY and i am sooo addicted. Your PC builds are so damn clean.
Fractal knocked it out of the park with the North and the fact that the pro art boards make a great combination visually even to someone like me that doesn't really care about that kind of thing pretty much says it all. My only complaint is it's sometimes harder to find the mesh panel version of the North (at least in black).
Love the vibe in the recent videos.
It does look simply amazing! Great job
Great build bud! Thanks for your content!
My pleasure!
absolutely beautiful setup :3
Really beautiful...congratulations
Your pump is making noise because it is above the in/out of the radiator. You should have the radiator in/out above the pump always. There the little air bubbles get stuck in the top of the radiator and smooth operation at the pump ;)
Awesome build and killer content as always. I am surprised you don't have 500k subs or more. Keep it up!!
Wow I'm building a new machine right now to run Linux Mint, OBS and DaVinci Resolve Studio. This video is very helpful and I'm planning on the Z790 but now have to re-think it.
Before yesterday I didn't think you could buy anything that's not geared for gamer's especially NVIDIA. Nothing against gamer's but not everyone on the planet is a gamer so I was amazed to see a MB for Creators!
So I love the memory sticks you show but on Amazon and they have the size options but not sure how to sort the Styles?
Does that have something to do with when you say don't go for the fastest depending on your setup?
Visually looks amazing
That is the most beautiful PC I have ever seen, the case is epic
this channel not only caters to my hardware specific needs but is also is an island that is far awat from the `gamer` aesthetics that are so atrocious.. ! amazing channel. amazing build.
Couldn't agree more, Asus ProArt series bring PC component to a whole new design level. Your built is like the S-class series of Mercedes 😉
I recently made my first PC using components what you had used in one of your video. And it is was awsome experience.
My current issue is I want to turn it ON/OFF remotely using my cheaper laptop because the PC uses alot of energy.
Is there any tool so that we can able to turn ON/OFF our computer remotely?
It would be awsome if u also make one video about it :)
You must have watched Gear Seekers build. Epic and 100% my inspiration for my build.
Been watching your ssd videos. Is the lexar nm790 a good choice for project drive? Thanks
I bought the same MB ProArt B760 yesterday, but I bought an i9 13900k and the GPU was a ProArt RTX4070, my question is, does this card and Motherboard support an i9? Excellent video thank you very much!
@theTechNotice why not using an X670E or Z790 with two 4060 ti 16gb ? Seems like a great dual GPU solution with a lot of vram for designers? :)
You also could have used the new gold colored metal-framed Apex Stealth fans from Alphacool that just got released.
the pc total chills the gold and black
Currently building my first PC thanks to your channel! Im using a Gigabyte z790 aorus master X with an i7-14700k and two 1TB SSD's, one a gen 4 Cardea z440 and the other a gen 5 T-force z540 with a Gigabyte RTX3060 12gb gpu. My question is this, the manual for the motherboard says if I use the 5.0 M2 slot it will reduce my pciex16 to x8. Should I put the SSD there or in one of the other M2 slots? I am learning CAD and 3d modeling, will not be doing any gaming on it.
also, would I be much better off with a different GPU such as a Proart 4060 8gb?
Would really like to see a noise removal showdown video between this motherboard, nvidias noise removal and AMDs.
Definitely looks amazing with black/gold! but i'm a sucker for white build's
I just ordered my set up and paired the proart Z790 with the i7 14th gen 14700. There are 4 addiitonal cores for £60 difference compared to the 13th gen equivelant.
The matchy-matchy looks sweet. Next you need to get into hard tubing and venture away from AIOs. 👍😎
another interesting video man. I also would like to thank people commenting on this channel to help out with my last build. i5 13 600 k / RTX 4070 Pro art / B 760 Pro Art Creator WIFI / 32 Gb RAM / 2 Tb firecuda 530 Nvme. The PC will be used for gaming & content creation. Will be upgrading the other parts all along (aiming for 64 gb of RAM + 4 Tb additional SSD drive)
Great video
i was wondering if the pump hoses would have went under the end of the video card. I would of thought he hoses would just fit between the card and the case since the card sits higher then the motherboard but hangs past the edge of the motherboard that would leave a small gap. But I cant tell the diamter of the hoses in the video..
8:50 LOL - I have to agree.
Wish they made an itx proart mobo. Ended up going Asus B760-I. Funny booting it up and seeing an rog logo but for a photo editing pc. We also got that exact proart 16gb 4060ti and really were not sure if that was the right move.
noob question, if i use it for gaming, and im talking max settings gaming, and content creation will it lean more on the creation side in terms of performance?
Surprisingly this isn’t as expensive as I thought it would be.
How much is this build?
Absolutely gorgeous PC. On the topic of the Pump noise, I am fairly certain that the pump is gurgling air inside. You should really rearrange the heatsink to be up top. I know it is a pain, but this way you'll kill your pump in no time.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen a hoodie on a PC.
I can have in detail the codes of the black/gold cables for the various connections. so I can order them the same. thanks so much
I reeeally love these "creator/professional" look instead those sharp-angle gamery aesthethic. I don't understand why it's still hard to find and somewhat quite expensive.
Putting the radiator pump down is ideal?
I will be doing a full pro art build when the 5000 series Nvidia cards come out. I want something that looks like this. You make the best looking pc's.
there are differences in 13 to 14 with some coing and also some config for being able to to more accurate diagnostic inside windows
I love gooooold Mr. Pesur.
I have owned the Z790 WiFi version of this board. Honestly it's been a rocky ride that has turned to crap as of a week ago. Been lots of Stability issues which have now escalated to a dead system and the board being returned for evaluation and warranty!
So also putting the pump on top of the AIO hoses was an on purpose error?
By far the most stunning creator PC build hands down. But I want to know, is it worth it to buy RTX 4060 Ti 16GB over RX 7800 XT for video editing?
Nope :)
Miss information there one can change the wifi card even if its located in the I/O at the back.
Can we install intel i9 14th gen on asus proart z790 wifi creator? Cause on website they mentioned only 12th & 13th gen that's why
thanks
I don't know how you made a mistake by mounting the AIO tubes at bottom. I was really hoping that you will change the layout 19:31 I know you're Legend in this, but it could result in increasing Pump Pressure and the flow will be decreased in due time and increase in Fan speed. but still sick built
Nonsense. The top of the radiator is still higher than the pump block. This is the ideal orientation when a top mount isn't possible. Flipping it can work fine but increases the likelihood of air getting pulled thru the barbs, especially as fluid permeates. The effect of the lines being below the pump should be negligible. In either orientation, one line is either pulled or pushed against gravity which a typical AIO should have no problem with.
Now there is always the chance of air getting caught in the block regardless. You could manually move the block around to get it out before mounting. Rotating the pump block so air can escape into the outlet could also be beneficial but you'd still want the tubes at the bottom of the rad.
TLDR: Avoiding air accumulating in the pump should always be the priority.
Tubes are supposed to go at the bottom, because the opposite part has the air pocket, which should always be above the pump...
I also don't understand why that would put more strain on the pump, the amount of water that needs to be moved is the same and the fluid must be moved (in height) by the same distance in either of the two vertical orientations (this is a situation where the fluid is in a state of constant speed).
So, the only difference would be when the pump needs to accelerate the flow of the fluid, and I'm not sure if that would even make a difference
sure wish they made some gaming boards etc. that were that clean looking.
I'm planning on building something like this after Arrow lake/ ZEN 5 comes out, with 15900K/8950x and Z890/X770e Motherboard, 96gb DDR5, 4070 ti super and 2*2TB Solidigm p44 Pro the 1KW dark power 13 That I have and custom cooling for the CPU with copper pipe, gold-plated fittings and the EK-Quantum Velocity² Lignum Edition. ps. The custom water cooling makes sense for what I do.
What is the color code on that gold, cant replicate it on mine?
How much did this build cost ?
Can you please make a comparison test, between AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX vs Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 for 3d render?
Pretty sure he did something similar.. might have been the 4090 though. The XTX got stunted on in the blender benchmarks. Like the Nvidia was 200-250% better. Everything else was like 5-10% difference, which I could live with given the price difference, but that Blender score, the gap was just too big. Pity too, because I was looking at the XTX because of DP2.1 for the 32" 240Hz 4K OLEDs coming next year (ASUS, AW and Samsung have announced some).
thanks man!You were right .I found the video with the comparison i was looking for.Very good ofcourse!
Does anybody make a temperature probe that you can put in line or on a water block to see the true water temperature? And also if you’re doing a custom waterloop why can’t you just put two radiators at the bottom of the case where they can’t be seen and configure them in a push pull.
8:50 LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
what is the magnetic light you were using in the roof of the case at 26:12 of the video?
Aputure MC
@@theTechNotice thank you for the response. By the way, I really appreciate the creator slant of your channel. It is really nice not have just another gaming performance channel to look at when they all tend to be just thumbnail clickbait for the fanboys. So thanks for being original and something truly different to watch.
Dont put tub down on pomp my frend, right on horizontal is better ,tub down on Rad is perfect side 😊
Noise in pump probably air trapped, going to have to move the whole case around and upside down to get them out the pump. you didn't know that?
While AIO coolers obviously look amazing it's worth noting you can air cool a 14600K without issue since it's well under 200W. Even a mid spec air cooler like a Dark Rock 4 will effortlessly cool a sub 200W CPU and be more quiet at it too. Anyway, just something to note, beautiful build though!
You have to Test the new "Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO" ❤
Regarding DDR5 and putting two matching kits together, generally using the XMP and lowering the speeds slightly will work perfectly fine.
Try the following:
Example DDR5 6800 2x48GB
In the BIOS Enable the XMP but change the speed to DDR6600 (test) and lower if necessary to only the highlighted speeds.
I'm using two kits of the same g-skill memory that's rated for DDR5 6800 and it's running perfectly fine at DDR5 6600 speeds. CPU-Z J8P8UR
There's nothing wrong with this but the more you lower it the more you should consider knocking at least the primary timings down or you're just giving up performance.
Higher speed will obviously have higher timing profiles so leaving them alone just increases latency more and more. You could give it more headroom by slightly raising the DRAM voltage and of course you'll want to run memory tests like y-cruncher to be sure it's stable but you should be doing that regardless with 4 dimms. Intel's memory controller can be frustrating (14th gen does seem better) so at least run a final test overnight to be sure it's fairly stable.
Do NOT just wait for something to crash and assume it's fine if it doesn't. Especially on a work system.
@@JJFX- .. AMDs memory controller is extremely worse in comparison to Intel, you'd never be able to run DDR5 6600 with 4X let alone if/barely 2X sticks on the current AMD offerings.
Intel DDR5 6600 with 4X sticks is very common, there are "quad" kits, and randomly increasing voltages can damage the CPU and cause instability. As it is, these DDR5 kits are pushing both the OCs and voltages near its limits (1.55V-1.6V).
@@DJaquithFL That is definitely right but I wasn't comparing it, I simply meant frustrating in the sense that instability can take awhile to nail down. The point being that people need to test it more than just playing a game or trying to render a video.
Glad you have it dialed in, sounds like a solid setup.
@@JJFX- .. The success or failure is highly dependent on the RAM including its Die (I'm avoiding that debate), BIOS version and CPU (specifically Intel generation 12, 13, 14).
I briefly mentioned (testing) which is easily another debate, but for overall "rock solid" stability a full load overnight is generally sufficient. My point is running only a memory testing app alone doesn't guarantee "rock solid" stability. I've never known RAM OC'ing to fail with 3 steps above its rated speed when x2 sticks per channel are filled using kits from the MOBOs QVL list. Example i9-13900K rated DDR5 5600 MT/s so 3 steps is DDR5 6400 memory from the QVL list.
Frankly, OC'ing isn't what it used to be because the CPUs and GPUs are already essentially factory overclocked within their stable bin level. Silicon lottery is already pretty much predetermined at the factories.
While I can overclock my i9-13900K to nearly 6GHz It's literally drawing twice as much power with a drop of effective additional performance, not to mention turning my PC into a space heater. So if your goal is to simply share synthetic useless benchmarks with your buddies, then go for it. RAM on the other hand, does yield to a point under some uses a benefit with very little additional stresses on the overall system if done properly.
In my case, the reason I'm using 4 sticks of RAM versus 2 sticks is purely for aesthetics. I have a high spec system and leaving out two sticks so I can have DDR5 8000 - 8200 is like a supermodel missing her front 2 tooth teeth.
@@DJaquithFL 100% agree that truly stabilizing a memory OC takes more than a single test, my advice was simply to encourage some degree of testing for the average person.
I'd say +3 speed bins or so is probably a fair assumption in regards to frequency alone. However it's important to note that Intel's officially supported speeds actually aren't much different than AMD. They only officially support DDR5-5600 for 2x1R. This drops to 5200 for 2x2R and with 2 dimms/4 ranks per channel as you're running, they only support DDR5-3200. They don't make it clear on the spec page so I understand why people assume this but it's all in the SKU support matrix inside the 13th/14th gen datasheet.
Most meaningful overclocking is arguably dead but IMO memory overclocking is the last frontier. Many XMP/EXPO profiles are a bit of a joke and you can still push cheap kits near expensive ones. Binning is relevant with Hynix dimms but you'll typically only see differences pushing to the limit and lowering timings like tRP and tRFC.
On Ryzen memory is especially beneficial since it's already so limited by latency. The kit I just tested with a 7950X was stable up DDR5-7800 in 1:2 mode but still performs better in most situations at just 6400 30-37-30, 1.43V in 1:1 and geardown disabled. At high voltage it can do 6600 C30 but most can't and that's about where Zen 4 tops out. There is arguably potential with a solid DDR5-8000 OC in 1:2 mode .
The potential is obviously far higher on Intel but in my experience with 13th, stabilizing aggressive OC's can be oddly sporadic. On Zen 4, once it's dialed in you really don't see random errors after significant testing (with good thermals). It's fairly obvious when you hit the limit. On Intel it could test stable in everything for days then after some restarts it could throw random errors in just 1-2 hours. Just a strange observation others have noted too but in many other ways it's far less frustrating. To me, both platforms are fun to play with and it'll be a sad day when memory OC'ing goes the way of everything else.
I was waiting for that cooler to fall over on top of your motherboard. Glad it didn’t!
Cooler pump will die pretty fast ,,TOP ( tube connect) MUST always be higher than pump head
I am waiting the day, when you do a full ASUS PRO ART build in their new "asus proart PA602 case". also with their unreleased liquid cooler 😁😁
That would be cool!
Nice build but would have take the Proart LC-420 as a cooler.
Yep pump has to be above CPU or less performance and more noise
I was able to get a 5200 MT/s speed with 128GB of G Skill 5600 DDR5 using a 14700K in a Proart Z790 but that is on the very edge. Any more than that is unstable. Seems a little lazy on Intel's part that they couldn't get this right for 4 sticks...especially with a second stab at it with 14th gen.
Just wish these things come in ITX and/or low profile form factor.
None of the Galahad 2 reviews had an issue with pump noice. I think it’s bc it’s on the bottom and air is trapped.
I learned the hard way. Installing a WiFi 6e m.2 card into a z790 lightning d4 without WiFi. You can easily break the wires.
Giving away this amazing piece of art to our non-profit magazine, will not only land you a hero on the cover, but also an exclusive interview, as well as the Sponsor of the Year. congratulations :)
I like ProArt style mush butter than Rog style beautiful and class
Just pointing out that nobody really builds a PC, it is just a case of clipping some bit together.
Like a big Lego only a lot more obvious where all the bits go.
I find it funny, this video isn't the worst, some you would they had actually created a piece of art, basically all they did it order matching parts and that makes them some sort of genius.
Imagine something like this in ITX/SFF
5:58
2×35 ghz whaaaaaaaaaaat
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I just upgraded from 9th gen (9900KS) with DDR4 to 14th gen (14900K worth it for my situation) with DDR5. Bought x2 32GB DIMM kits for 64GB System ram and discovered you can't run XMP with 4 sticks with DDR5. Ram drops down to 4000MT/s with that much RAM installed. My old GSkill Trident Z Royal was overclocked to 3600 MT/s. So, I'm technically faster than my old DDR4. I don't know how much of a difference 4000 MT/s would be to say 7800 MT/s using DDR5. I may send these kits back and try to find x2 32GB sticks but the new build seems to be snappy and fast enough for my music production and 4K gaming needs.
4000 is pretty slow, are you sure nothing else is wrong configured? 2x32gb would be better
@@groenevinger3893 I've been looking for 2 stick DRAM kit that have 64GBs of storage and they are pretty rare; and the ones that do exist have MT speeds near 4800 anyways. The 6000+ MT/s high-speed RAM kits are normally relegated to 32GB. I was able to OC my current GSKILL to 5800MT/s and the system survived repeated memory stress tests in AIDA64. 4800MT/s is the default speed of my GSKILL DRAM kits, so I at least got above that.
Now there is a thing, this is almost the pc I have just built. 14600k 64gb 6000 g skill, gigabyte z790 elite AX X an the 16gb 4060ti 16gb. I think the 4060ti 16gb will have better resale value (time will tell)
Wrong case for a 360mm AIO... You need a case for fitting on top ;-)
Imagine this build with a chromax version Noctua GPU would be awesome
Good idea to ask whether we "hear" the noise and talk over it ruining any possible effort. Thanks
Is there any possibility that 14th gen will be able to run 4x16 Gb at 6000 Mhz with a bios update? I know it's on the IMC to keep those speeds, but AMD somehow managed...
4x16 for DDR5 is silly. If you going to have 96GB or less run 2 sticks, always. It's just better.
@undefwun2135 it's a matter of initial budget, if the person could do it from from the start this wouldn't be a concern
@@ommenerd3793 Well just from watching other videos and reading the comment sections, mostly the reason people seem to ask about 4 dimms is either a) aesthetics or b) thinking brought over from DDR4 and DDR5 is a different beast.
You can run 2x32 and 2x48 at 8000MT or close to, on the right Z790 board. Go check Frame Chasers or Buildzoid's channels for info on that.
You will not get that performance with 4 dimms at this point in time and performance over aesthetics any day.
Since my next build will be on AM5 that doesnt apply (there is no real world performance gain between like 6000 and 8000 on AMD, buildzoid has the explanation for this) and I am looking on running 4x48 anyway.
looks like my gran gran mother radio.
It's a nice build but I think you mounted your AIO wrong, you need to rotate the cooler so the tubes are up and going down to the pump.
100% correct ,, BAD error for someone that has experience
creator and gaming motherboards are bassicly similar motherboards only difference is gaming has more rgb stuff on it and creator boards look like they are similar hardware but with some nice graphics on the board.
Please clear my doubts, I am having trouble finding a good combination of Case, Cooler and CPU☺
Can this Lian Li Galahad II LCD SL-INF 360 cool Intel 13900k?
Can Fractal North Case fit Lian Li GA II TRINITY PERFORMANCE ?
How come you don't like the Fractal fans?
tubes top vs tubes down is not a matter of aesthetics, gamersnexus explains

Another question if you don’t mind, does that dual cable have a 16pin cable comb on it? If so, where did you get that?
