My buddies isn’t as bad as mine. Mine Is at the point of concern but I wrapped the bumper with silicone coated pipe wrap to get through the season then warranty time. Thanks for responding
As far as I am aware of the bottom of the belt valley is for a 600 motor. I would refer to the instruction manual on your sled. My sled is ride the belt to the braided part of the belt side.
Thanks Scott and i know there is a decent amount of people but not as much as if we lived in NY. They are far more likely to try the sport because if where they live! Hope to run into you guys some day!
One issue I had with my matryx that I could have easily over looked was the pipe rubbing on the rail of the bumper about 3 inches from where it’s bolted onto the frame. My buddy has a matryx as well and his did it too just not as bad. I’m lucky I found it when I did. Check yours
Ive always wondered how modern secondary clutches work with the belt deflection. such a nice little design instead of taking it apart every time to add, or remove a shim. Never knew the secondarys had alignment spots to keep them balanced.
Definitely! Only fear I have of those is seeing all the time people stripping or breaking the adjustment screw. Probably happens due to poor maintenance or inexperienced people working on them.
Off topic but who puts the front shocks on a skidoo built out of crate . Only asking cause I'm missing bolts its at dealer now just want to know who's paying
Can tell you used to race. Simple green is the best! And checking bolts. I have 900 on my matryx assault. Change chain case oil, new carbides. Adjusted chain case, track, belt. Few more rides left on the slides. Wny trails are mint! Big weekend of riding coming
Just got to the part you mentioned me my wife was like he just said your name lol HEX 1/4-20X1.25 set screw with protruded tip I got a bag of them from McMastercar a lot of people seem to be breaking them this year
I changed my chain case oil and checked tension at 465 miles on my VR1 850, got scared when I removed plug and saw nothing!!, had some metal on the magnetic plug, cracked the cover and drained out the oil, it was pretty nasty, only got 6oz out, book says hold 10?? flushed chain case out and filled it up to where it was coming out of fill hole like the manual says, put 100 miles on last night and everything seemed okay? Just wondering if anyone else had same level of oil?? Fill Plug was marked with white marker from factory, you belt deflection is exactly what I was told also, I definitely like the belt adjustment setup compared to my prior Artic Cat
Hey Grady You'll learn this about me as time goes on.. that paint is eating me alive and if i had more time it would've been taken care of already. This sled will not be with me next year and neither will these rails most likely but yes they will be fixed if i keep them or for the new owner!
well i bent them and got a set from ice age but didnt have time to get them painted so i rattle canned them and it didnt hold up. th-cam.com/video/7lsxzDc9es8/w-d-xo.html
Jesse, little bit off topic with my question. I'm just getting into the sport, can you maybe do a video of recommended equipment to carry on person/sled? Things like tow straps or tools to have on hand trailside? Thanks.
I've been having issues with my belt seating correctly on my axys. So the peaks are slightly poking above the rim? I'm just trying to make sure it's not to high up.

Well thats the inside of one for ya!! They are super simple to work on! Way better design then the shimes!

🤣 Nash just wants to ride! Silly question is the chain tension adjustment the same on the axys?
Yes he does and yup they are the same!
You ever change out your brake fluid? I usually do mine at least once a season.
Not normally no. I will be bleeding mine this week as i feel like they are getting spungy.
@@JESSEJAMES322 mine are getting the same way with heavy brake use

i changed mine the day i got it because i changed gears. I do not remember how much came out honestly. Im sure you are all good now!
Yea you need to do something with that paint job on the rails...that makes the rest of the sled look bad....spring project?
Hey Grady You'll learn this about me as time goes on.. that paint is eating me alive and if i had more time it would've been taken care of already. This sled will not be with me next year and neither will these rails most likely but yes they will be fixed if i keep them or for the new owner!

If you ever go sledding in the UP in Michigan. Give me a heads up.
WIll do!!
What have you done to the rails ? :O

at some point i would like to do a riding gear etc video. most likely when the season slows down!
How old is Nash? He's Awesome 😎
He turned 3 in September! Hes the man!

If i am reading that correctly its not high enough. Want the valleys to be flush with the outside rim of the secondary!
Ordered my CA xcs skis with 9 inch shaper bars....Watched all your ski videos!!!...are you on Instagram??
There ya go! And yes i am JESSEJAMES322
Glad everything is holding up well after some of those huge jumps.
you and be both!! Very pleased with it!
Ahh I spot the "death" bike in the background lol
Devils Tricylce yes!! Was just on it about an hour ago!!
@@JESSEJAMES322 I like that name better!
Ive actually learned to not mind it. Spent a TON of time on it!
@@JESSEJAMES322 my first time on one I legit had to go have a spit outside lol
Nash is not impressed with the paint falling off either.
No he is not! Not an easily impressed man!
