The dust boot itself do not fall under warranty whereas the joint itself is covered for life to the original owner. Over greasing can cause the boot to tear/fail prematurely.
I removed the lower control arms from the truck, stabilized the torsion bar on the key side, and then hit the lower control arm with a hammer to beat it off of the torsion bar when I installed my 6 inch lift. Not sure why this worked better than trying to hammer the bar through the arm.
Glad you brought this up. Been running a Kryptonite stage 3 leveling kit on my L5P for 3 years. Definitely rides way better than it did when i drove it off the lot. I've been telling people if you want to level it, do it right!
To get the keys out if heating and beating has failed, I put the truck on the ground then get a 60lb jackhammer set it on your stomach while laying on your back under the truck and with your foot hold the end of the jack hammer on the tortion bar and send it. If that fails split the key with a grinder, if that fails Sawzall the cross member and hit the spring back from the front, then go to the junk yard and get a cross member. I've done all these recommendations
People forget shocks typically only last 50-70k miles. Leveled or lifted is all just for the look and function you want and need but either way it's got to be done the right way.
I'm from Wisconsin I'd say next most obvious step would be heat it up with a torch to change out the keys. Even tho a leveling kit on an ifs truck is just silly imo.
2022 Denali 2500 will run 35s stock.... no leveling. That is on any of the stock 20" rims that come on them. I run Toyo 35 x 13.5 x 20 R/T Trails on mine. No problems at all.
JW, you need a bigger impact hammer for those torsion keys, ask your snap on guy he will set you up, you can even try it out before you buy it, may depend on your salesman, if your friend spends 750 on a torque wrench, he can afford this impact hammer it’s a game changer. PS please spell his name so I don’t butcher it in the comments. Thanks 😊
Love it, how long did it take for you to get your kit. I ordered the same kit for my Lmm ,and it’s been 6 weeks still haven’t got it. Not throwing shade just wondering, I’m a very impatient person lol
Man, for a little bit more, being that it’s an lml, I would’ve bought the wicked customs leveling kit being that it comes with a diff drop. I had a 13 lml and I used kryptonite ucas, keys, bilstein shocks and I bought a 20-30 set off drop spacers. And it still rode pretty rough. Btw I would strongly consider wicked customs bumper spacer kit
Wicked leveling kit to me is overrated. Not much benefit from the dif drops either since it doesn't equate to better ride quality. This kit works just fine especially since I'm putting a lift on it soon (I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in the video)
Okay I guess I didn’t catch that part, but let’s say hypothetically you keep the leveling kit on it. The diff spacers would help with the angle of the axles
I know you have friends that work at shops but how would I go about asking places if they delete diesels? I’m having def/dpf problems and really want to get it done.

☝️ this guy knows what he’s talking about!
I just bought a 13 denali with 90k miles for 35k all stock. Starting the process of the build your videos are gonna help along the way thanks!
Good luck!

Thanks for your feedback!
I live in Idaho and they don't use salt anymore, they spray a liquid on the road that helps against ice and doesn't accelerate rusting.
im up in MN and when i leveled me 1500 a had to get a MAP gas torch to heat them up. they came right off hope this helps

Do you have a link just for the upper control arms and shocks? I dont need keys any more TIA
Do u have wheel spacers if so what size
Use heat on the keys. Make them red hot and beat them out with a sledge and a large punch.
Dudes correct use heat on stuff that's from up north. It's the only real effective option with age and accumulated rust.

That impact hammer has gotten the job done all of his work previously. Our next step would've been a bigger impact hammer.
Do y’all like fox shocks or bilsteins better on leveling kits?
Need to go Fox as they are the proper length
@@JWMontoya gotcha thanks man love watching your builds.

Mine was ordered in December
Use a puller works great

Not trying to start anything or bring up drama if any...what happen to dealer options?
Nothing! I still talk to em
Ok cool!
Used an air hammer on mine was done in 1 minute after I wasted 2 hours shaking it with a hammer
Great video as always but can you turn down the intro music some?
Kryponite level with fox shocks is $2000 where I live in Canada man
But everything in CAD is expensive 😭
