Its about air charge temp and turbo efficiency. A turbo that is efficient at 20 lbs is going to make more power over a larger RPM range than a turbo that is below or above the RPM boost level of efficiency. The stock turbo is maxed out (effiency wise) at 18 lbs then it heats the air up costing you power. A 60 trim is only starting to become efficient at that boost level or a hair below. 50 trim is in the upper middle of the two. It's the best match for the SRT 4 unless you modify it with head w

The stock Turbo is capable of 19psi max. When you upgrade to the Mopar Stage 2 kit, it is designed to handle 19psi and it comes with a 2 Bar Sensor, Computer/EMU, 682cc injectors and intake temp sensor. I ran it for 2 years before I upgraded to the AGP 50 Trim DBB. 19psi is only 4.5 psi more than the stock pressure.

Nice numbers man. I have a GT3076r AGP Stage 4 setup, I got 404 whp 444 lbs on 21 lbs boost, 93 octane, with alky injection.

the tuner pulled back some timing cause the cylinder pressures were getting high. i told him to do a safe tune on my aem ems. i just have the agp 50 trim turbo @ 22psi with 3" turboback, big fmic, and cai.

ok ppl have been saying some ppl have been gettin more or less power from the same psi it depens on the turbo for ex 50trim would make 40whp more than 60trim at 22psi but the 60trim would make 60-80whp more at 28psi.....

A stock unmodified Dodge Neon SRT 4 TD04LR-15Gk is spinning at max safe RPM at 19psi. Sure you can push it to 25psi by cooling the air charge with e85 and meth injection. But you are still dealing with the bearings spinning to ungodly 500,000 rpm's and the seal over heating. And it will not hold 25lbs, it will spike to 25lbs but can't hold it. I had my BC line crack and my stock turbo spiked to 27lbs and it blew seal and I had to rebuild it. The SRT 4 Caliber turbo can handle it though.

@adiosk8erxxx Uhh, that is completely false! All things equal the 60 trim will move more air thus letting more fuel into the cylinder. Thats like saying a stock turbo produces more power than a 50 trim at 15 psi....its completely and uterly false.

18 psi being maximum psi on the stock turbo before it's inefficient is very incorrect. You shouldn't run more than 18 psi untuned as the fuel requirments start coming into play. My car when it was on stock turbo ran like a freight train tuned on 25 psi.

Completely wrong. Stock turbo on e85 or 91 and water/methanol mix is just fine to 25psi. You don't want to go much higher than 25 as it becomes a hair dryer. Yes the stage 2 comes from factory with the sensors but you can get those aftermarket and run much more boost than that
