Extended driveability is way more desirable for me also. You can't even take off fast anyways, you get a ticket. And I don't travel the interstates very much so I don't really need all the power
They're also obfuscating the poor efficiency of big EVs by just increasing the battery size and hoping people don't notice how they get less than 3 miles/kw. It's the same as giving a car a 25 gallon tank and saying the range is 250 miles.
@@jaredhuang2225 right and 250 miles on 25 gallons, would be 10 mpg. Semi trucks only get 2 or 3 miles per gallon when pulling a loaded trailer.. Which is why they need (2) 150 gallon tanks.
Semi trucks on average get 6 to 8 mpg at max weight and flat altitude. I've managed to exceed those mpg numbers quite often. You'll never get 3 mpg unless you're doing a lot of stop and go driving with a lot of idling.
I went as an adult for the first time this year. I thought it cool and worth the price of admission. That Kia concept van that they had there was awesome looking. I wasn't able to fully look at everything as I had a schedule. If I'm close to LA again for sure I want to go next time.
Imo, the styling revisions on the H-K offerings are an improvement. Genesis has nice-looking interiors as well. Otherwise, not many new or revised vehicles are coming out at least 🤔 based upon her video.
Couldn't care less about ANY electric vehicle, honestly. The lies they have pushed in order to sell them and just how disappointing they are is awful...they're MORE expensive to maintain, for example, but always stated they were cheaper. Let alone California trying to tax everything about them.
damn, looks like the Korean Brands dominated this year's LA Auto Show, but they all looked good. but Hyundai's IONIQ 9 is a Spaced age SUV. but that's beside the point. i guess i'll let the Hyundai company do their thing
Yeah they had big banners for their cars on the outside of the event. The Ioniq 9 is pretty nice in person. The EV9 GT looks the same as the regular one minus the brakes and rims. We couldn't see the inside which sucked. Either is these SUVs will be my next car. I currently have an EV6 GT. I want something bigger again. 😊
The new models look great, and the styling tweaks to existing models are an improvement. I'd like to see a redesigned Kia Soul with a longer rear overhang for more cargo space and an injection of more personality like the first generation. Now, it offers mostly boring paint colors and all-black interiors with unpatterned upholstery. This is incredibly boring for what is supposed to be a youthful car, and so far from what the original Soul was.
I did not know they still had auto shows since there are limited number sedans, sports carsand other cars to feature. Who would go and pay money to see boring crap like this?
@waynerogers6621 Right, well I don't blame you. Not to long automakers were making all types of vehicles and dropping new models every year. In addition they had exciting new concepts. Most of the automaker now are just making a limited number of products mostly SUVs. Then they are producing these EVs which no one is interested in. If two automates dropped out of the NYC auto show that tells you that there is nothing interesting. You made a good decision by not going.
Instead of higher horsepower and 0-60 times how about increased range which is what most people want.

How about decreasing prices and increasing reliability.... brilliant
South Korean auto manufacturers don't know what quality is.
Thanks for the video. Basically confirms I didn't miss anything by skipping the show. Sad as I loved going as a kid.

@@volcalstone i'm gonna have to agree with you on that.
They paid to get in, the only way anyone will take in their piles of junk
Exactly what I was expecting, overpriced electric golf cars with screen centric interiors.
JUNK - The auto industry is complete garbage!

Gigantic electric crap with huge laptops on the dash. 👎

Planned to go to NYC show last April until I saw how many manfacturers dropped out. I know mazda and mercedes weren't there

Kia is a pile of junk
THE ONLY THING JUNK ABOUT CARS IS SOME SEVERAL HONDA AND TOYOTAS GETTING RECALLED SO, JUST STOP TALKING AND GO AWAY!!!
@@LandonMillertotheMaxx LOL poor Kia owner getting triggered.
It's pronounced Hyundai, like Sunday. You're an automotive journalist and you can't even correctly pronounce a brand's name.
Quit being so petty! I mean some people like to complain to hear themselves talk!
No one cares, it is called JUNKDIE
John has never been to Korea.
