I've got the signature. Almost the same but smaller. With a little titanium clip for my pocket. No light because the RovyVon Aurora is always in my other pocket. I use the signature a few times every day in the house, for nails, packages, envalopes and notes. I always have a piece of paper in my backpocket for that. Useful twice a week. These three things plus keys, smartphone, money clip and thin foldable shopping bag make my minimalist EDC.

Alternatively if you can get the Signature lite or Rambler for £29.99 - but you compromise on the pen or combitool. The Rally is £15.99 but no pen or scissors... lots of options in the 58mm range. I just bought the Classic SD which I'll probably give to my daughter. The one I really want is the Jetsetter - but I'm looking for a good price - including delivery.
I have carried a classic mini for more than 20 years. I have lost several and can't remember ever breaking one. The scissors are tiny but ever so effective. I keep one on my key chain.
I had considered getting one of these, but w/o the toothpick and tweezers it was a no-go for myself. I have carried an Executive for nearly 40 yrs as a complimentary knife to a large, locking folder of sorts. The tweezers and toothpick get alot of use. I carried a Classic before my Dad gave me the Executive and it was a nice addition to a larger knife.
TBH I am a big advocate of carrying any Swiss Army knife. My choice is the MM - I can see why people prefer a knife with the scale tools, but I don’t really miss them.
I always carry a dedicated flashlight so my choice when I’m carrying small is the mini champ which has a comparable toolset to this tool. I am a big fan of it. Extremely versatile. Definitely my favorite toolset in this size profile
I have a Rambler on my car keys. I also have a Nitecore Tini on it which is (I think) 360 lumen on turbo. So I don’t have a pen available but I do have an extremely powerful light to hand. But I have made it my mission to stash short pencils everywhere. Cars, jackets, missus’ handbag, rucksack, camera bags, golf bag.
I’m a big fan of the regular Manager, but I think I underestimated how handy the light was to have in the package. I think if they found a way to squeeze in tweezers (which I use far too often) I would switch to the midnight manager straight away.
That’s interesting. I actually don’t miss the tweezers at all. But then I had the Pioneer X alox which doesn’t have any scale tools of course. Prior to getting the Walker and Huntsman recently I had not had an SAK with Tweezers for about 15 years.
I think this is great for my urban edc. You might consider the Rambler for backpacking which has the normal scale tools (tweezers and toothpick) instead of the led light and pen on the Rambler. Out if you are OK with something bigger and heavier the Fieldmaster & Huntsman have two blades, a saw, scissors, Can and bottle opener as well as an awl.
Haha! Nice point. The compact is very capable (@favourite of JonGadget) Prior to the MM I always carried my Pioneer X alox. But, when in the office or working from my home office the MM does everything I need.

I use a minichamp with a Olight mini. be cause, on top what you have, i wanted a slightly stronger magnetic light and the Package opener/orange peeler tool.
I really like the mini champ and will add it to my collection at some point. I have the olight i3E EOS on my keychain and it would be great to have a magnetic light too.
Hi, I'm considering a Midnight Manager or Signature Lite, but I wonder, is it actually possible/comfortable to write with the pen while holding the light switch?
@stanley90x Unfortunately tweezers are not an option as well. You could put some Sliver Grippers on your keychain. I've seen them but don't have any. The other option is a small flashlight on your keychain like the Olight i3E EOS. Check out this video th-cam.com/video/xUxzNR495O0/w-d-xo.html
I estimate that it is close to 5 Lumens. I have an Olight i3T EOS and it is similar to the lower light level on that. It is suitable for finding something in a dark room - or up to 6-10 feet away outside in the dark.
They are pricey for a small SAK. But very useful and deliver as good value for money! I have been doing a #oneknifechallenge for September choosing three Farmer X as the only knife I carry. This has been great but had made me realise How much I used the Midnite Manager!!
I concur useful tool but not intimidating especially with knife crime here in uk even a legal edc can be illegal carry I own same one in red jelly I love it so much I bought another for my bushcraft first aid tin as i carve shillaglahs and spoons I subscribe 👍🇬🇧🐾🦊
Thanks. I work in an office and I am careful which knives I take in - even for slicing fruit. My Barlow knife is OK, but I have had a few comments about my Spyderco Grasshopper as it has an almost scalpel-like blade.

I find it strange that lock knives that used as a kid (fishing, camping, whittling) and I felt were safer to use - I am not allowed to carry as an adult. But it is what it is here and we still have a lot of cool knives to choose from. Except for going into a school, or court or on a plane - The midnite manager is accepatble most places...

I agree it is not cheap. I have a Real Steel Luna that was cheaper and has a much bigger blade. I look at is as good value because I use the Midnite manager at least once or twice every day. It's always in my pocket and is non-threatening so I can use it anywhere. I never thought it would be so useful.
Something less bulkier which I always carry in my pocket is my Victorinox Rambler. Has all I need.
The Rambler has the same tools and the standard scales. Good choice!

I can’t agree more, I carry mine from the time I get up until I go to bed. Outstanding piece of equipment.
I use it every day and the built in light means I rarely need to it’s my keychain light (especially in the summer)
Such a shame the Manager has been discontinued. The Midnight Manager is pretty expensive for the added light.

Great video. I've been carrying the cousin of this knife, the Midnite MiniChamp, for several months and it's become indispensable.
That’s a really nice knife too. It just shows that you don’t need a big knife for it to be useful.

Officially I think it’s because of the pen. I guess it’s up to the user to make use of it. Personally I use mine every day.
