Actually being able to read and speak Thai unlocks this whole new world, looks great!
Bean sprout is "thua ngok" in Thai. "Thua" (ถั่ว) is bean or nut, and "ngok" (งอก) means to sprout or to grow.
as a Thai American who visits Thailand like once a year, your videos fill this empty void in meeee. thank you so much for curating amazing content!
She says "ka" all the time.
@@winthorpetrois Yes, she says "Ka" all the time in general sentences, but in Thai, when speaking in questions, It must be used together Na+Ka when we talk to people we don't know. Or must you choose to use it? Just one word at the end, that is “ka”.🙏🏼🙏🏼🫶🏽🫶🏽🤝🫰🏻
@@yonyon339 She does, all the time. She's very polite.
Your number of followers is increasing.
2:17 8:07 if you ask for the price instead of "Tao Rai Na" (เท่าไหร่นะ) you better say "Tao Rai Ka" (เท่าไหร่คะ) for more friendly and polite Joyce. 😄 "Tao Rai Na" sound a little bit rude, and if their already tell you the price but you can't hear it clearly you could say "Tao Rai Na Ka" (เท่าไหร่นะคะ) which is to asking twice with polite sound. And also 20 baht for that Sprite is reasonable (17 or 19 baht in 7-11 i'm not sure) and even i don't know how far between you and BTS Bang Wa but 50 baht for Grab, i don't think you got scam for that.
Thai are too polite that when foreigners speak without “KA or KAP” we felt impolite 😛😂
ภาษาไทยของคุณพัฒนาขึ้นมาก
สามารถสื่อสารกับคนไทยทั่วไปได้
เก่งมาก 👏
Your Thai accent is sounding much better!
hey that's near my house.
Thonburi side still has the old Bangkok vibe in it. It's been much more developed in the past 10 years, but you can still feel the old time here and there.
i love these outskirts of bkk vids! Thanks for sharing!
Your accent getting better and better in each video. Good for you.
I think I’m falling in love with your accent. The smiles always kick in when I see you try to read random words you see. Your charming dress today absolutely suits you. Love you as always. 🥹🫶 Thanks to your contents I can improve my English reading and comprehension. Stay hydrated because this year is the hottest.

ชอบเวลาคุณ จอยซ์ พูดไทย เป็นสำเนียงฟังแล้วดูน่ารักมากครับ
I noticed you didn't say "bougie" once in this vid - and actually I'm sad about that because I love you saying it! Do give us an update on your lovely friend Leon. Has she got a job yet? Your interview video with her was fascinating because of hearing her talk about Bangkok, Shan, languages and expats.
Listening to you and watching your videos like this one is really enjoyable! So much so that I've listed it as one of my top countries to visit one day!
Omg your Thai accent is pretty cute 😊
It’s great to see you out of Bkk center. The pork stew rice shop is famous. The son of the owner of the shop was a contestant in Top Chef Thailand last year.
Another enjoyable video Joyce, Keep up!

Hello from Hong Kong! More down-to-earth food vlog please Joyce! Good luck!
Congratulations, girl got out of her comfort zone!!! It is nice to see you are exploring around the outer skirt of the city. Talad phlu is another place to go!
I really like when you go to the outskirts of the city and explore. The food looks good and it’s what the locals eat. I wish we had time to go to those places when we were there in January….keep it going….
omgg you just reminded me that i wanted to go to wat paknam for the longest time, i will have to go soon 🥰
No bougieness just another fantastic episode in Joyce's down-to-earth series
Dear Joyce. Its amazing your thai is receiving compliments from locals. Have you thought anymore about travelling to Taiwan. Regards Michael 😊
Come out to the eastern side of Bangkok like Seacon Square, Paradise park (there are bunny shops behind the mall and good VN restaurant Pho Van), Suan Luang Park, all the way to Mega Bangna. Ministry of Roasters is worth a stop too.
จอยซ์น่ารัก❤❤❤
Am going Bangkok this weekend and am worried about the hot weather! More tips on beating the heat and indoor itineraries!
Hi Joyce! I am new to your channel, started to watch less than 3 months ago. As you are living in Thailand for a while, it would be interesting to show more things like local folklore, culture, festivals, traditions and whatnots, in a Joyce style. Even though there are a lot of content related to my suggestions, your approach might be awesome! Overall, great channel!✌️🇹🇭
This year is probably the hottest year ever in Thailand, so kudo to you spending time outdoor. This local feel is unique in youtube and you should do more, like every Amphur in Bangkok 😊. Example Like
Cycling in Ban Kra Chao
Riding boat on San Sean Canal.
Boat to Pak Kret.
Jog at Suan Luang R9.
Scooter to Talad Noi.
very enjoyable video - I miss Thailand
You can read Thai very well. I am impressed when you can read "ห้ามจับ" so quickly. wow! Stay hydrated this Summer, okay?
Thanks for this vid. I too will be trying to do the same. There is so much to explore in that great city.
Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand. May it be a great time for you.

Thank you Joyce! Looking forward to learning tips about living in hot wet climate.

7:38 the moment I really like that she said "pho". OMG, long time no see but she is soooo cuteeee(≧∀≦)ゞ for me.
FYI : Klong Bang Luang was Chao Pra Ya river before.
U could find more info. in Bangkok capital history.
More videos like this please
น้องน่ารักสดใสแม้จะร้อนแทบตาย😂
Your Thai has improved incredibly-it's amazing! I remember back when I used to watch you react to Thai BL series. I've been following you since then, and now you've even visited Thailand. Your Thai accent, to put it simply, is like RP Thai or Posh Thai. (which is the equivalent of speaking British English with a Received Pronunciation or a 'posh' accent-then keep it if you like it.)
P.S. I graduated from the engineering faculty of the university in Bangkok that you often visit. 🤭😅
I returned to Da Nang, Vietnam last week from Bangkok, the heat there was stiflingly hot.
if you want to have an experience that's very very local in BKK I highly recommend you to go to suburban like Bangkapi, Latkrabang, Hua Takhe or Min Buri. Those areas as I said will defenitely have no any foreigner.
Seacoings Sugar Chili fish Sauce Orange juice wish you happiness 😂❤🎉
Thanks!
So cute❤
Your thai is getting bettter and better.
Try ploysai cafe x puyroti lady please
Wow. Your Thai is better and better
