This was really fun to watch. I can only imagine how tricky it is to translate between those different languages for a song. She’s really talented. Especially being able to speak and read so many languages. Even her least fluent language was impressive 😄😊. Also your Thai sounds really great too Joyce. It’s encouraging me to practice my Thai again and focus on actually learning it more seriously.

Your friend Pie does speak Mandarin with a typical Thai accent (I’ve come across a few) 😅, but if she improves it a bit she can pass as someone from one of the southern provinces, especially somewhere like Guangxi or Hainan.
Glad to know you’re still getting better at Mandarin too. ^^ both of you have a thing for languages, haha. And of course for you that includes Thai.

Funny thing is Thailand has the most Chinese immigrants but Thai Chinese see Chinese as a foreigner cos th/ch don’t speak Chinese or feel like ones and they have different mannerism than ch from mainland or elsewhere.
That's incorrect us chinese come from different clans.
It shouldn't be compared to Thai-Chinese They are from Guangdong, such as Chaoshan. They originally don't speak Mandarin. But Chinese Americans have from Chinese from everywhere in China.
