Just wondering in any of these videos if you get into how The Big Lebowski is a retelling of Fisher King story? The wheelchair bound Lebowski being the wounded "fisher" king, and Jeffery being the wayward knight. Of if I'm the only one who gets that? (Same with Dances with Wolves - which is a little more obvious when the crazy commander is calling him "Good Sir knight" and whatnot) ((And of course especially obvious with the Robert Redford film The Natural - with the manager being Pops "Fisher" and the team being called The Knights))
the character of Chigurh is referred to as the demon of Mammon by McCarthy, so greed is a factor with him. But I agree not solely. Thanks for creating videos like this, always a good watch!
Very underrated channel! Enjoying the videos, please keep it up!
Very cool. And you brought to my attention that I've missed TWO Coen Brothers films. Gotta rectify that soon.
The book is well worth your time if you loved the movie. McCarthy is so good. And so is this analysis. Very, very well done!
Thanks! Blood Meridian is one of my favorite books of all time. I can just open it up to a random page and relish the amazing language.
Great video as always!
Nice essay man!
Got my sub. Cohen bros have made some of my fav movies. Up there with pulp fiction and Django

The very end of this clip makes it seem like you’re about to provide an analysis of Old Country.
Maybe that will be in another video…
Raising is one of the greatest films of all times
One day, I hope a director emerges from the wilderness who's able to bring to life McCarthy's greatest villain: Judge Holden.
I've heard there's a project in the works right now. Adapting Blood Meridian (one of my favorite books) has a long history of failed attempts, alas.
Finally moved on from Buster Scruggs.
