He didn't say much, in the movie ' No Country For Old Men', but we all knew his intentions. Javier Bardem's performance was Oscar worthy for sure. The entire cast was top shelf acting.
Javier has such irregular and exaggerated facial features....the result is an incredibly unique and devastatingly handsome man. And no slouch at acting, too.
It’s so interesting to watch this interview because he has such a fun and upbeat personality that is a stark contrast from his character in “No Country for Old Men”. He’s a great actor for pulling off the tough guy and killer in the movie.

Peter, the Barber, "Okay, what will it be?" Javier, "Everything." Peter, "What do you mean?" Javier, " Long in the short places. Short in the long places. It should be from both the future and the past. Something a child would do to a doll." Family Guy 🤣 🥃💨🤘
It's odd to imagine the jovial and kind Javier as Anton Chigurh. He was absolutely terrifying in the role, death itself. Speaks to Javier's acting abilities.
My step dad had that exact haircut in 1981. It was quite common. People forget things so easily. Do an internet search of men from 1977-1982 and you will see tons of examples of that exact haircut. The coen brothers are genius and wanted the movie reflect the era.
I'm confused why people would get scared of seeing him around in that hair, since during that time he was there filming the movie, and nobody has seen the character yet.
Javier seems like a really cool dude. Astonishing that he initially resented his role as Anton (i.e he struggled with English and hated violence + the haircut). Yet he made that character his own and became a legend.
