You are right about the date and time set. When I got this DVR I would set the time and when the battery would die it would reset to 01/01/2008. I now have a different DVR that keeps the time.
Ah yes, the fun of driving around in my home town of San Angelo! You forgot to go down the main drag on Sherwood Way where all the high schoolers would drive up and down Friday nights.
I have a few like that as well, dash cam video of people being idiots in San Angelo. Red lights and stop signs are just suggestions here but very few people take them seriously. The SAPD though says we don't have have wrecks from people running stop signs and red lights. They say it's "Failure To Control Speed". I think they call everything "Failure to Control Speed" though, including armed robbery.
I left my Digital Video Recorder running as my truck was parked in a parking spot near the intersection and that is what I captured and posted in that time frame.
I haven't been to San Angelo in decades but I am planning to visit there in 2017. I will make sure I bring my dash cam with me and keep driving safe and defensively. Check out my videos from the Philippines. In some of them you will see how they drive over there. Driving critics would go crazy.

I have never seen as many bad drivers as i have in Texas, and I've traveled through a good portion of the U.S. It just amazes me how many Simple....SIMPLE road rules are just ignored anywhere you go. Austin, San Antonio, Houston-that's where i live, i'm speechless. I seriously and honestly wonder if this state even has a driving test. I've only lived here for 4 years and i have seen more accidents and stupidididitty than i have seen all my life. Good luck and stay safe.
@survey1010 I use a windshield mount. The one I have is from e-bay. Look up "HD Vehicle Digital Mini DV DVR Spy Car Hidden Camera" and the cheapest is about $23. It comes from China and takes about 2-4 weeks to get it. It requires a Micro SD card. I use an 8 gb ($20) that holds about 35 min. of recording time. What I also like about it is that it loops the files so when the card gets full it keeps recording.
Drivers around my town seem to think they don't have to slow down when behind you and you're turning. Also when a two lane runs into one the others think it's time to jump ahead of everyone. Don't get me started on motorcycle riders.
I'm one of those drivers where literally yell at these types of drivers. It's disappointing. I am currently considering buying one of those dash-cams for this sake, as well.

If your date is correct (I know it might be wrong year) then 28 days, really, is that all it took...?? The amount of people completely disrespecting traffic lights and blowing through last second oranges is just disgusting.
@kyogre6444 We do get ice and snow here. Mainly in December and January. Of course the bridges freeze first. The longest I've seen ice and snow on the ground here is 4 days. Usually it snows over night and it's gone by 3 in the afternoon.
I know right!?! A woman stole a dual axle pick up truck and sent the cops on a high speed chase through town and crashed it intentionally into the police station. LOL
Because I needed to stay in the right lane to make my right turn a little further down the road. In other words I didn't have the time to pass unless I broke the speed limit and then cut him off to make my right turn.
You need to get some footage on Ben ficklin. Thera a stop sign by the casa rio apartments people pull out a whole car length in front of. Makes it impossible to turn sometimes. Or on that one lane bridge on Ben ficklin. I almost have a car accident at least once a day there.
Some dumb high school girl tried to get in front of me as I was slowing down at a red light. So I sped up to 25 mph (the speed limit) and she was forced to stay behind me at the red light.
Not to mention that at that point if you had tried to pass him you would have crashed. The streets narrow at that point into one lane if it's the exit to get to Knickerbocker.
Well that doesn't mean you had to get right up on his ass for that 1 second. You could have slowed when you saw him roll the stop sign or whatever he did.
At 3:00 why didn't you just change lanes. It wasn't such a big deal, that is probably why the other guy didn't even stop at the stop-sign. Clearly he made a mistake, but so did you.

If something bad happens and your involved the camera will show you are not at fault ( only if your not). very smart idea to have one i have one myself because of other drivers... Living in somewhat of a city setting and alot of J-Walkers the camera will help my defense if i hit one idiot person running in the middle of the street drunk late at night. GET ONE ONCE YOU START DRIVING!

I got lucky. No damage to my truck. The girl that hit me had a plastic bumper that cracked as she hit my trailer hitch.
