Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself. - บันเทิง
Nice figure to have for the ANH line. Wish they painted him more rustic like the first movie.
I'm thinking about using an old modelling trick and brushing him with floor polish to give a little shine. The model kit is just too chrome for my preference. Can't wait for these to start popping up at my store

Tom Bowling it's a toys r us exclusive 3 pack, in Canada they are on clearance right now for $59, I don't know what the original price was in the US, so check your local toys r us or the website

OverallI have to go with the Bandai kit, especially since it was easy to add light-up eyes and comes with a communicator, two sets of arms, and alternate face and chest plates. The extras more than justify the slight price difference, but the reflective surface seals the deal for me.
If you reverse the black connectors on the upper thigh, and add an ankle pivot it will greatly improve the leg articulation on the Bandai version.
I like this thing, looks solid overall and yeah the gold paint is very decent. I was a bit ugh about no lines in the eyes but I like how they painted them to look lit up. Dope review man

I wish this figure had a bicep swivel just so that we could get his arms out for gesturing poses but besides that I love this figure. I like the weird dot paint on his eyes as on other 3PO figs his eyes are just dark.

That chrome is very chrome. I do like the black series a bit more.

Hey shart, since I'm early could I get your opinion on the batman new adventures dc collectibles figures? I can get them for ten pounds at a local retailer and have already picked up four. I kindof only picked them up coz they were cheap and now I don't know whether to carry on the collection or not. Visually I like them but qc and articulation are an issue with them. Any opinions anyone?

seeing a review of this it looks better than i thought it would. i do wish that it was just a regular release,cause walgreens does not have a great track record for exclusives.

Wish he had more range in knee and hip so he can sit down better. It is a fun fig. I want a Tatoinne repainted R2 and 3PO to be all dirty. I think the paint in the eyes looks more alive than model kit. I do wish the ridges were sculpted in eyes.
I'm not a fan of the feet on the Bandai model, but the elektroplating is oh so good. The Hasbro C-3PO feet looks correct and I think the dull gold paint is tolerable, but it could use some dirt and grime. I have both figures and I'm debating if I should add weathering to the Hasbro C-3PO.
Would love an articulated C-3PO in this scale, with light-up eyes....... these guys eyes seem dead and thats a shame

graefx good luck man I never got R2 in series 1 either and ended up paying either $80 or $90 on eBay but it was mint in box. Careful with knock offs especially on the troopers, boba, Maul and I believe R2 as well
I fully expect another R2 to be released with Ep8, assuming he has a role in that movie
really like this figure but I don't wan't to buy a figure that costs more than the reguar release and does'nt have any accesories
The packaging says Empire Strikes Back, not A New Hope. But great review man. I went to six different Walgreens looking for this one.

Ah, there was once unbridled enthusiasm for the Star Wars Black Series. Alas, it is no more. It's avoided like the plague in that hallowed garage of Pacifica. No longer does Shart blaze up and bounce happily into Coastside Comics to purchase the latest Black Series figure. Why, Shart? Why?

So I ran over to my local Walgreens and found the old Leia in Boushh disguise! I thought they didn't have the 3PO, but found him at an endcap!! Awesome! I'm glad to find that Walgreens carries these figures and that there are some exclusives there to boot. Thanks to your channel!

iirc Chrome C-3PO is the one from the prequels. When he was new and shiny. Matte C-3PO is more OG Trilogy design.

isn't a new hope Cp30 all gold(which I heard is the amazon exclusive) and the empire strikes back Cp30 which is the one with a silver leg a Walgreen's exclusive because I've seen a bunch of these at Walgreen's
Gilbert Comon nope 3PO had the same design through the original trilogy, he only was all gold in revenge of the Sith. He had no covering in phantom menace, was gun metal rusted grey in attack of the clones, all gold chrome in revenge of the Sith and had the silver leg for the entire original trilogy. He was all gold at the end of the Force Awakens but had the red arm for the majority. There is no amazon exclusive, there is OT Walgreens 3PO and Force Awakens retail 3PO
But all the older toys from the originals never depicted him with a silver leg.. I never remember him having one in the movies either

Also in the original trilogy although his lower leg was silver in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi his foot was gold unlike in A New Hope which was a silver foot
Well the chrome works with Revenge of the Sith and the more dirty looking version works for the Original Trilogy since C-3PO looks a little dirty.
Walgreens exclusive? Huh, I found this at EB games up in Canada, that's actually where I get most of my marvel legends too. Plus with my store card I get 15% off nearly everything.
Really don't see why Hasbro cheaped out and gave us this exclusive over just one figure with a red and gold arm, and then a gold and silver leg. Heck, even two variants would be be nice.

I never remember that.. If you go watch the the Star Wars tribute at the Oscars, when c 3po comes out hes all gold.. No silver leg, and no older toys depicted him with a silver leg either..
