I wish they had added Krennic to this collection. He needs an updated face as much as Cassian and Jyn did.

Now that they've re-released the Rogue One figures, with some much needed paint improvements, I really hope that Hasbro does the same with Finn and Poe
Yeah, those two are LONG-overdue for a face upgrade.
They need to give us episode 9 Finn and Poe. And a Rey with a saber.
It's not their priority since they have doubts if they would sell.
@@jersonona7961 That’s a good point. Sequel trilogy stuff doesn’t really sell. Then again, Rogue One stuff didn’t either. Rogue One figures warmed the pegs for YEARS. You can probably STILL find them at discount stores.

Wow...these re-issues look SO much better with the new photo-real paint apps. It's like night and day. With the exception of K-2SO, I passed on the original releases since I actually wasn't a huge fan of Rogue One and didn't care about the characters all that much, on top of the faces being terrible. But now, I'm actually kind of interested. If they get marked down and I can get them for cheap, I might just pull the trigger on them this time.
I'm still torn on picking these up. I have Jyn, Cassian, and K2, and don't really want to get them again. I've picked up and put down Chirrut and Bodhi Rook several times at GameStop. If the price comes down any, I may go for it.
The Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor figures are 10x as good as the old ones. K2-SO is probably an okay pass. There isn't much difference there. This collection is really good.

Nice comparison. I decided to get the whole wave to make them my definitive Rogue One team because the faces just look much better than the originals.
More alien Rebels for Saw Guerrera people. Two Tubes. I think he or another of his species is in Enfys Nests gang. So two fir the price of one. Warrick also did a fun little alien in Rogue One I’d like plus that big furry guy. Rogue One is awesome! Regarding the Andor series. That may just be using Andor to show the seeds of rebellion so a bit more intrigue and maybe a spy thriller. It will definitely have Tudyk back as K2. Maybe we see why Cassian denies him a blaster. I personally think Disney+ is suited for this type of story. The huge battles are for film. This is more smaller interaction. It would be cool to see some of that Bothan action that Jedi gives them prowess for.
Regarding the Andor series and knowing where Cassian ends up, we knew where Obi-Wan ended up, but we got some of his Padawan years through the fall of the Empire. We're also getting the Obi-Wan series later this month. Pretty much the same situation.
Yes I agree with you. I also enjoyed the Solo movie and we knew how Han would end up.

Great video, Mike! I ordered the complete set of re-releases as well and have received them. Don't get me wrong, I am SUPER happy with the upgrades on these. They look fantastic. But one thing that keeps happening to me with all of these face upgrades is that once they are on my shelf again, I find they give me the same satisfaction as the original releases! I definitely appreciate them when doing action figure photography, but when just seen from a distance on my shelf I'm like... Okay. Same. I dunno. Sorry some of yours had QC issues, mine were fine.
We need more Action Figures from this Line !!! 5 or more !!!

Passing on the K2 and still need Cassian and Jyn. Super upset when I found out it they didn’t update the head sculpts or Jyn legs, but after seeing them I think they’re worth it(most of them). Buying/commission a painted head is about the same for a new figure, and you will always have to worry about paint chips.
That being said I’m still upset about Jyn. She’s always had ultra bad legs, and her accessories were epically disappointing (even the sdcc exclusive). This was their chance to make her really special by giving her new legs (especially the left leg) and giving her night stick and the full blaster set up like Cassian and Jyns tbs 33/4, elites 7in and 10in. I might be in the minority but if they did I may have paid last years deluxe prices for 26 or 30 bucks.
Thanks for putting this vid out, it’s nice to see the whole crew both old and new, and yes I still do plan on buying Jyn and yes I will hate myself for doing it.

Thank you Mike, excellent video! I am new to collecting Star Wars figures and was interested in the difference of the new release of Jyn. Her new face is much better, just wish it wasn't a bad tan color. I do own the new Cassian Andor, and will be taking him out of the package soon. Your review on him gave me the biggest laugh, I was crying. Now I am wondering if mine will do that same thing! That was hilarious!
I've got all of the originals apart from KS-2O, but after seeing your review I'm definitely going to get these up grades for sure, I can't get over the difference of Cassian and Baze's face apps awesome. Talking of Baze he doe's use his tazer device in the movie on a Stormtrooper on Scarif whilst the rebels are lying their detonation devices. Here's hoping they up grade Director Krennic. Thanks for a thoughtful comparison video.
Love me Rogue One. Remains one of my favorite Star Wars movies.
Funny, it's actually among my least-favorite. I have it towards the bottom of the list of movies. Never understood why people loved it so much. Maybe I need to give it a re-watch.
The photo real updates on these are great and worth the upgrade. Like you I just got Baze a week ago or so. Bodhi coming out last year really completed the crew, and once I get those non-existing Target exclusives Antoc Merrick and Galen Erso, not to mention the deluxe Saw Gerrera, the Rogue One shelf is really gonna be banging! Just need an updated Director Krennic….
Also, if I recall way back in the day there was a K2 variant where they painted his eyes with red pupils (or dots). I’m trying to recall what K2 actually had in the movie, and I’m sure it wasn’t plain white. It’s too bad they didn’t correct this figure’s eyes during this rerelease. Regardless, it’s still a killer figure. It goes well with Cal Kestis too as a gaming greats figure since the K2 units were featured prominently in JFO.
I actually just received Cassian today! Really happy with him. I didn’t buy any of the original releases, so it’s nice to have them out now with updates. Stoked for the Andor series. Also, Mike, idk if you opened that new Mace Windu you had in the background, but check out his shoulder joints under the robe before too much play. Mine unfortunately broke right out of the package, and I was gentle. Hasbro said they’d replace it but they didn’t know if it would ever be back in stock

baze used the taser when he yoked the trooper from behind when he was hiding in the bushes on scariff.. also baze\s backpack hangs too low on his back and was much higher in the film

Most improved faces Baze, Cassian and Jyn. Chirrut is a slightly better and K-2S0 looks same as the original.
Rogue One is my favourite Star Wars flick and I saw the originals as a kid when they came out at the cinema.
A shame the didn't re-tool some of the articulation elbow bends and Baze's inability to angle his feet up.
Director Krennic sorely needs an update.
I'll probably stick with my old versions of these unless I can snag these cheap.

Star wars explained made a good point on Andor show. And im not hating here you Can have your own opinion but People complain that we know Cassians fate already. But what about prequels? We know how Obi-Wan dies. We know Anakin turns To dark side and how he dies. And sametime Clone Wars. We know Sidious takes control of galaxy. We know how war ends. We know clones betray jedis. So saying we know Andors fate makes it sound like that those shouldnt exist either
Yeah, I’m not against it. I’m just not especially excited for it. And to be fair, I had the same criticisms for those parts of the prequels, but they had the advantage of seeing how what you know happens played out.
Seeing how Cassian got to where he was in Rogue One isn’t a crazy mystery.
I’m still gonna watch it.
@@MikeKaess yeah i Will enjoy Andor if they do it right. Cassian said he has done terrible things for Rebellion. If they show that this show has change To be Best series In Star Wars

Kinda wish they'd have retooled the figures given they're using the new packaging. These feel more like archive releases, which kinda sucks. Theyre still good figures however, and I hope we get plenty more from rogue one
That's true. These are Archive releases without actually being Archive releases. Oh well, at least they won't take up any spots that I'd rather other figures got instead.
I'm going to pass on these. Good looking figures and I enjoyed Rogue One (especially the 3rd act) but not a big enough fan to justify the cost... standard Black Series figures are now $45 a piece in Australia :(
All the face updates are really good. However, for some weird reason, I think the 2016 Chirut looks better than the update. Am I crazy?
Also, while the Cassian likeness is so much better, but the figure's body doesn't match his real life build/proportions. I'm eventually going to make a custom with the new head and a repainted Yavin Luke body. Maybe it'll work.
Yes, you are crazy. The re-released Chirrut looks WAY better than the original 2016 version. Really not sure what you're seeing there...
Love the line up of actors and their stuntmen behind them. I'm getting them all except K-2SO. Why do you think Hasbro has such an issue with relaxed hands? I'm definitely getting the whole set the original are terrible. My wife got me Chirrut. I only had Cassian and Jen she was my first ever black series figure.

Not sure. I know I'm definitely not. I don't care to see what Cassian was up to prior to Rogue One, just like I didn't care to see Han Solo's life prior to A New Hope. Didn't need that.
