I liked the villains in this one and that they pretty much played it straight in the beginning. To me, that made it funnier when they got to the comeuppance part.
Yeah, it wasn’t a bad movie. I wasn’t against the idea of having it be a “new beginning” with new characters, that was actually refreshing. But the idea of having the robbers be these super high tech terrorists and the kid still wins is pretty far fetched
OMG YESSSSSS!!!!! I think this movie is soo underrated. Yes it is cheesey and a bit of a retread on the first 2, but i think it still has its shining moments. I feel like Alex's trap setup was more believable than Kevin's from 1 and 2. Kevin seemed to fully booby trap these giant houses in an hour whereas this movie shows Alex taking most of the night to set up. I also find the whole "home alone" reason alot more believable than Kevin's being left home or making onto the wrong flight. And Alex did try to call the cops twice unlike Kevin. Thank you for reacting to it no matter what. Loved your reaction and that you atleast gave this movie a chance. So many reactors stop at 2, but i think 3 still has some nuggets of gold before it totally falls off with 4 and up. Have a happy holiday

I know I’m super late but thank you so much for watching Home Alone 3! Truly in my opinion number 3 is THE BEST out of the trilogy (the others after 1,2 and 3 are pure trash) and it’s my childhood favorite too even though I’ve seen 1 and 2. Number 3 has a special place in my heart and always will be number 1. The 3rd film doesn’t get the praise it deserves and doesn’t deserve the hate it has gotten since the film came out. Well its obvious why its not liked. The original is a classic which was unique when it came out and people grew up on it. So people associate home alone with the original actor. In this one they replace the actor, the villains and the story and traps are even more absurd than the originals which were somewhat believable. Home Alone 3 was literally my very first movie I saw in theaters in 1997 and I was only 4 years old at the time, so I consider it to be a guilty pleasure even now. It is a lot better than the other HA that came after it.

the only critique i ever heard about this movie is that "the kid is not kevin or mackulay culkin" but i like that making it a new kid he has a different reason to stay home, home alone 4 really tried to make the kid kevin and it failed, he calls the cops showing that calling the cops doesn't work they actually answered the "what if he just called the cops dilemma" and the criminals being way smarter still made it fun as unrealistic as it is that the kid wins, i find that to be the funnest thing of it. he isn't dealing with 2 idiots and he wins. Also a nice bonus that the parents are not as bad to him this time just the siblings which is normal.
I like how in this one Alex gets hailed as a hero and recognized for stopping the criminals. In 1 & 2 Kevin goes anonymous and doesn't get an ounce of credit.

Thank you for reacting to HA3. I find it an entertaining continuation of the franchise. The one other movie I like is Home Alone: The Holiday Heist. I like it because like HA3 it is a different take on the formula. It is obviously a made-for-TV version, but it has it's own fun moments. Malcolm McDowell is the leader of the bad guys in this one and is much better than French Stewart's Marv in HA #4.

Im 30 now and love this movie always somehow found myself watching in on VHS as a kid. And remember my friends coming over to watch this and all of us laughing. It was relatable to only a certain time frame of VHS and computers, a change of technology that seemed impossible that we dream and all wanted it. I remember wanting what this movie had about the drone/ RC-XD the kid had. Amazing time we are living in.
Yeah first Home alone I saw in the theater. So very interesting note but the song they after his mom leaves and he sets up the rest of his traps is actually uncensored since they use the H word but the offical release is actually edited. So I like Home Alone 3. I like that it has its own story and its own characters. Alex D. Linz really played his role well. And here a logic error from the previous parts was not made. With parts 1 + 2 you always ask yourself why doesn't Kevin call the police (well he calls the police at the end, but never at the beginning)? Here he does it and what happens? The police and his own family do not believe him.

Not gonna lie, I always had a soft spot for this one I always liked it bjt not as much as the first two and the second one is my favorite but I grew up on all 3 and as a kid I loved the song this is my home or whatever and I always thought the toy car was dope asf.
If people pay attention to the scene where both sides are getting ready for the fight, notice that EVERYTHING the bad guys bring is EXACTLY what they need to disarm all of Alex's traps.

As a grown man in my 30's, I still enjoy this movie. Sure, it's not as funny as the first two movies, but it tried to be it's own thing while respecting the first two
This movie is cursed by Home Alone name..... if it was named something like Alex chip or something, he might would be acused for plagiarising but it would pass much better. It is really great comeddy movie.
I thought Home Alone 3 was alright. I’d watch it again. I appreciate that they had a different kid with a different name. If it was a different kid playing the role of Kevin, it would’ve just made me roll my eyes (Home Alone 4 😒). I also like that it didn’t copy the same traps as the previous movies like the second movie did. Even though it’s a movie I could watch once every 5 or so years, I give it a thumbs up.

I thought the hardest scenes to watch was the police raiding the houses just because they and Alex’s Mom were so quick to accuse of him of crying wolf

So very interesting note but the song they after his mom leaves and he sets up the rest of his traps is actually uncensored since they use the H word but the offical release is actually edited. They say "and if you think your ready well" instead of "If your ready to see H word"

@@nsasupporter7557 I didn't know the fans were even asking for more sequels. I thought it was mostly the companies that kept pushing on the brand to make sequels and make money, regardless of how much these sequels drag the franchise through the mud. That's gotta be it.

I know that people want a 4th Rush Hour movie 😳 there doesn’t need to be another Rush Hour movie, I love the Rush Hour movies except the 3rd movie that one was garbage. So there doesn’t need to be another one. The only way that they should do it is if they make it a reboot or remake with different actors… it’s a terrible idea to make a 4th movie with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker
So I like Home Alone 3. I like that it has its own story and its own characters. Alex D. Linz really played his role well. And here a logic error from the previous parts was not made. With parts 1 + 2 you always ask yourself why doesn't Kevin call the police (well he calls the police at the end, but never at the beginning)? Here he does it and what happens? The police and his own family do not believe him.
Exactly… I agree completely. I liked that it was a “new beginning” so to speak, with new characters and no connection to the first 2 movies whatsoever. The only problem I had was that it was alot more far fetched than the first 2 movies. The villains were these high tech international terrorists and ontop of that there were 4 of them. Yet the kid still won 🙄
@@nsasupporter7557 I understand your objection. However, one can also see it that these thugs have simply completely underestimated their opponent. You could also take it as a warning never underestimate your opponents or tasks.
I like also that they call out the logic of them searching houses in the daytime. "It's the suburbs, no one's home during the day."

Everything is great about Home Alone 3. I love that there are 4 bad guys who are international criminals, and not 2 robbers.
Not gonna lie, I always had a soft spot for this one I always liked it bjt not as much as the first two and the second one is my favorite but I grew up on all 3 and as a kid I loved the song this is my home or whatever and I always thought the toy car was dope asf.

I thought Home Alone 3 was alright. I’d watch it again. I appreciate that they had a different kid with a different name. If it was a different kid playing the role of Kevin, it would’ve just made me roll my eyes (Home Alone 4 😒). I also like that it didn’t copy the same traps as the previous movies like the second movie did. Even though it’s a movie I could watch once every 5 or so years, I give it a thumbs up.
