Ahh yesss, the backyard garden with pc talking in it. I love it
😁
The gamers garden. Where the Hydrangeas review graphics cards and cases of various degrees of functionality.
Why pay for an expensive studio with professional lighting and soundproof walls when you can play with your new gaming PCs in the backyard?

Harry's own review: 10/10 would bark at the pigeon again.
this channel is such a good value. only this channel gives you maximum pc per garden. some youtubes charge extra for pc per garden. you gives us 2 pc per garden. incredible.
Finally, I've witnessed a case I could cable manage in! And it has a slot for optical drives. It's beautiful.
Space for all of your rat nest needs!
@@fus132 Oh yea. I mean I think a beaver could build a dam in that thing.
lol, i dont even have optical drives anymore, not even a external one, i haven seen one on sale localy in a long time, how things changed
@@betag24cn I still wouldn't want a case without the 5'25 bays
My current one has 2 of then and both populated
@@afos88 perhaps ypu still have optical media that works, i lost my last optical drive like 5 years ago, so all cds and dvds i have, no idea if they still work, alot died or perhaps it was the drive itself
tbh a slow, noisy and big optical drive that doesnt last long is the last thing i need, i moved to onñine and local storage all my information, with backups, of course, because a small dvd is not a backup and a bluray is expensive and wont last long
That’s a really good boy you got there! No birds gonna just fly into his yard!
That Antec 300 looks better after all these years than mine did back then after a month. Chapeau!
You got a Corsair carbide air for 150?!? Can’t find one for less than 200, holy hell.
i've found the case multiple times locally for about £40
@@williampaabreeves lucky, only site I can find them on is eBay and the local pickups are decently priced but in other states.
I call the one I got “the cube!” I’ve had it since I built my first pc it’s a chonky boy and I love him! He’s the Minecraft block of pc cases and it lets me have so much storage X3
I wash thinking the same thing, that case was close to becoming my main PC.
What the heck these are actually that expensive? Where i live they're 40$ used in good condition
YOOOO A Corsair Carbide Air! I used one of those for my Haswell build in 2013... and actually still use it to this day. I loved it so much I built my brand new system inside it as well. Roomy, easy to work on and in, tons of airflow, and can fit enormous modern GPUs with no trouble. Having a functional CD / DVD drive in a modern system is kinda fun as well.
Verified! Got a 337mm Gaming X Trio 4070Ti in my 540 Air, the manual states "GPU's up to 320mm are supported" I bought my 2nd 540 Air 4 years ago and am on my 2nd build in it, excellent airflow, very easy to work in and achieve a tidy build. Something of a classic.
Damn , that dual chamber Corsair case aged like fine wine.😅
That Corsair case looks good tbh.
the i7 + that corsair case for that price is a steal. what a deal
Ah the 7700k such an icon imo, i remember looking back at it as this pinnacle of a cpu back when i was first getting knowledgeable on pcs
I just bought it😂❤
It was intel's last cpu when they dominated the market right before ryzen took the pc world by storm exciting times.
@@mrhappy8966 yeah it was Ryzen that shook everything up, prior to Ryzen all of Intel's CPUs (certainly the common ones, away from Xeons and the like) everything from Intel (up to and including 7th gen) maxed out at 4 cores and 8 threads, with i5's only having 4 cores and 4 threads.
i remember a review gamers nexus made about it complaining abut lag and stutters thanks to the 4 cores, then ryzen hit everybody, what time to be alive
@@mrhappy8966 Not really, the i7-8700K was released later in 2017 and was quite a bit faster for gaming than the early Ryzen's. For gaming the 8700K was still slightly better than Ryzen 7 3700X etc. but the 5800X and especially the 5800X3D for the same platform are better. So with the Intel you would have had better performance in games for 3 years (if assuming a CPU upgrade on AM4) but didn't have the upgrade path that AM4 had. i9-9900K was just a refresh with 2 more cores and slightly higher clocks.
Though without Ryzen Intel might have stayed on 4c/8t on mainstream platforms for few more generations
I love those old Corsair cube cases. Always wanted to build my server into one, back when I thought 4 hard drives was a lot, lol.
Get that grass cut lad ! lol. Im pleased Harry didnt piss up them ! Great video, thanks Steve
This is coincidental. I also bought this PC case in 2017, with an i7 7700k. A GTX 1080. And to start with, 16 GB DDR4 2400 MHz. And also coincidentally, it was also custom built by a company. it was my first gaming PC.
The Corsair Air 540 housed my previous build which I sold to my cousin a couple years ago. Absolutely incredible case; the airflow is unbelievable. Corsair need to make an updated version.
I5 2500k and gtx560, what a combo. I build a system using that cpu and the gtx 560Ti back in 2012 just before getting married and got a good 7 to 8 years of happy gaming out of it, was a beast!
I still have my Antec 300 sitting in the closet after finally switching to a newer Antec case this past summer. It served me very well for a good 12-13 years.
That’s good to hear :)
Me to, I got my Antec 300 around 2011, I needed a large case for several mechanical hard drives and 2 optical drives.
Times and needs change, It's been sitting around empty for the last 6 years, just can't bring myself to get rid of it.
I'm still rocking a Corsair Air 540 myself too! Got it for 35€ back in 2017, it's missing the additional hdd cage for the second chamber but fans has been swapped for NZXT one and the first owner had some fun repainting the mesh from white to red.
Mine is housing a Ryzen 5 5600 and RX 5600XT rig. I did found a great deal last month for a practically brand new cheap office i5 9400 8gb ram and 500 WD SSD made by some obscure SI for about 80€. Got a gtx 1070 for 110€ added some fans a new CPU cooler and my older beQuiet 600w PUS(replaced this year with a MAG A750GL), and made a decent budget gaming PC for my older brother. Wish I could have found a deal on a case before shipping it, but alas nothing decent at the time.
Dare I say the 7700 and 3050 seem to be pretty well matched in the games shown here. Seeing the CPU and GPU under pretty much equal high load is a pretty satisfying thing.
Yeah they’re a pretty good pairing to be honest
@@RandomGaminginHD My i7-7700K, with 32GB of DDR4 3200Mhz RAM, a 1TB NVME, and an (11GB) EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 blows the doors off of that RTX3050, at 3840x2160. When the new 50xx Series GPUS's come out later this year, and prices drop, I "may" upgrade the 1080Ti to an RTX470Ti Super, and step up to 4k. But, as it stands right now, there isn't anything that I do that pushes my CPU past 50%. Maybe, I "might" upgrade to a 16th Gen in 2026. LOL
I recently came across a BRAND NEW (still in the sealed antistatic bag) GigaByte GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK motherboard. So, I custom built a new "BLACK & GOLD" themed i7-4790K, Corsair (gold colored) 32GB DDR3 2400Mhz system around it. Unfortunately, the 4790K overheats. So, I am waiting on delivery of some ThermalGrizzly Liquid Metal. I'm gonna DeLid the CPU, apply the Liquid Metal, and see how far I can overclock it (maybe 4.6Ghz or 4.7Ghz???). But, honestly??? I get "as much as" if not "more than" enjoyment from building the PC's, as I do from playing games on them. I collect them like pieces of art, all over my house. 😂😂😂
Kinda funny that the 3050 is slower than what a lot of people paired with the 7700K back in the day. GTX 1080 Ti was released just 2 months after the 7700K
...I'm not sure why people started believing the GPU and CPU should have the same "load".. they don't even do the same thing. The CPU and GPU load aren't directly coupled--that's why you use a GPU so the CPU can offload all of the heavy lifting to it. The CPU is managing the OS, the MMC (which isn't part of the CPU even though lots of people mistakenly believe it is) is managing the memory and the GPU is essentially a totally separate computer dedicated to (usually) graphics.
Bottle necking doesn't mean key components are running at different loads, bottlenecking means one of your component isn't running at optimal for certain applications because another component it relies on can't keep up. Bitcoin miners, for example, don't give a shit about CPU load at all.
This is all a workaround for x86 garbage register limitations that have been around since the 80s.
Wow a 540 Air! What a classic case, my last ever build with my Pops was in such a case and i bought a NOS one in 2020 for £150 (Amazon) which I've had a couple of i5 gaming builds in, currently my 13600kf/337mm 4070Ti Gaming X Trio ( tricky to squeeze into the 540! There's room for slim fans under that front grille if you're not using the dust filter) You can get a very clean build in the 540 Air, and for me it'll always bring back memories of my Dad. Nice to see one in the wild!
I had the GTX560 back in the day. Used it from late 2011 until early 2021, when I finally upgraded my desktop.
The Air 540, I got it even before it was released in this country, and im still using it to this very day. Great cooling, great looks. One of the first dual chamber chassis.
what hardware is the doggo packing?
Not sure but he’s definitely overclocked

Nice find there with both PCs, they seem to be very good for what they are. I also really like both cases, as there is plenty of airflow, plenty of room for hard drives and optical drives, and especially so with that larger case. Nice, might have to keep an eye on eBay for either of these systems!
Mate, your Corsair carbide air set up is better than my current rig! I know a 7th gen i7 is dated now but still what a nice score!
Lol, Harry is so cute.
I really like that chonky case - and I especially like the cable management room. Can't wait to see what you do with that.
I used to have the Antec 300. I built a 2600k system with that case around 2011. 🤪
My current gaming rig case has the white version of that Corsair case, and I absolutely love it.
Lots of space for fans and radiators on the front and top sides in addition to the 1 fan at the rear. And like you said, lots of space to hide the PSU cables on the backside of the motherboard which is very nice. Additionally, the case has 2 caddies for sliding in 3.5" drives (or 2.5" drives with adapter sleds) with mounted connectors which is so cool (you can see the sleds at 5:35). Also there is room for up to 4 additional 2.5" drives on the backside next to the PSU as well (shown at 5:46). I doubt I will ever need to upgrade this case as it is functionally perfect.
I've had a couple of those Antec cases, and the build quality is really good on them! I really like the way that Corsair case is laid out. PLENTY of space to house pretty much anything you want to build.😉
good find, decent case's, decent power suppliers, mobo and cpu combo's are ok as well, plenty of profit potential.
looking forward especially to the i5 2500K video - i recently found an old game pc on the street with that cpu which is waiting in the basement for further plans
That carbide case is slick. Reminds me of the coolermaster version.
Love that corsair case, had mine since I bought my GTX1080 9yrs ago lol.
Personally Still got the Antec Three Hundred that I've owned since 2008 for my secondary machine; has a modified hard drive cage (angle grinder) otherwise the 3070 Strix wouldn't fit!
Got another Three Hundred in the family that's still rocking modern hardware as well! They're an absolute steal if you can find them!
Corsair Carbide Air! 540 such a great case had mine for years, had quad crossfire build in it AMD R9 295x2 and dual 290x's damn that thing was unpractical and awesome
I always wanted one of those exact Corsair Air cases. The white case specifically. The fact you got one along with the i7-7700k with a motherboard, heatsink, fans, and a power supply is mind-boggling. Happy you got the deal. That Corsair case though...I would make it a keeper.
Only recent eBay deal I got here in the US is a 512gb 2230 Nvme SSD for $10.25(tax and all). So, you struck up some great deals there.
Yeah I’m really tempted to keep the case 😁
@@RandomGaminginHD The case??? Meh... But, the PSU/MB combo???!!! Those are GOLD. Transplant those into a modern case and you will have a killer gaming system for years to come.
I built one of the builds which uses the Carbide Air, with a MSI Z790-P D4 and core i7 13700K with a 4070 though, and that case to this day still made pretty adequate airflow for the age.
@@baoquoc3710 That's awesome. And how is the MSI motherboard like? Been a while since I used one being an A320 and Z370. At that point, Gigabyte got better amd ASRock as usual is awesome. ASUS started getting worse. Has MSI been making them better?
I flipping love the look of that Corsair case
Love the collab with the dog, I can tell your dog works hard to earn its keep :)) Great video mate 👍🏻
😂 thanks
I'm running a 2500K paired with a RX 550 in my HTPC/Media server - it's a pretty decent combo for my use case! You can't expect too much from it obviously, but for low demand couch games like Fall Guys, Overcooked, and Unrailed it does the job most times at 1080p 60fps and medium-ish settings. Looking forward to your video, seeing what you pair it with and how it performs for you! It was my daily driver through some of my Uni years, definitely a nostalgic chip for me...
I really like those two PC Cases, I still own an Antec Three Hundred. The Case is the component that I reuse the most, and because of this I’ve learned a lot about fan cooling / airflow
Love the corsair case so much.
I have that large corsair cae. Brilliant piece of kit and plenty of room.
That corsair case looks nice.
It's actually interesting to see what was the mid/top end components 5/10 years ago, that's why i love this channel.
I actually just found a core i7 7700 from thrift. A business Dell SFF, complete with 16gb and a crappy quadro. Just needed storage. They had a bunch, guessing a business either uprgraded or went under. $22 USD. It's seriously shocking how cheap hardware can get sometimes.
I recently got that same Antec case! Got it from my local E-waste recycling center for $15 and I am currently working on a case Mod for it. Spray painted the interior all matte black and removed the unnecessary drive bays so far. Might cut out the side panel and install tempered glass/ plexiglass soon.
A custom work of art is soothing to the soul. 😁
Few months ago i got myself old PC for free and it was built in Antec 300 case. I took the old parts out and used it to build gaming PC for my kid. Still very usable even for mid tier PC and airflow is also pretty good. My kid has Ryzen 3600 with wraith prism cooler and RX 6600, no any problems with temps. Only "problems" i had with the case, was hard to cable manage and no USB 3 on case itself. Also as older gamer myself, i like the simple look of that case.
I had the Antec 300 for years. Was an AMD system, DDR3, GTX1060 3GB. The case is somewhat living today. In that my SIM racing pedals are bolted to it and it has bottles of water crammed into it to weigh it down.
That's no Pigeon, . . *_That's Dave !!_* . . . came by to say Hi.
I absolutely love that Corsair case.
Whenever I see that Corsair case I can only think of the movie The Accountant...
We love Harry!
G'day Harry, you did a very good job protecting your hoomans making sure there was nothing dangerous in the parcel & from the Bad Guy Bird
Haha that's a JRT for ya :)) Love those lil' guys... nuclear reactor levels of energy
Yayy we got more Harry!
Love the cube cases. I've got an aero cool white one and a black bitfenix one.
I'm impressed you've had the one rare day that it hadn't rained to be able to display the cases outside!
i5 2500k was a damn beast, i clocked mine to 5ghz using a Noctua NH-D14 as a cooler and the rest of my system was 2x EVGA GTX 580 3gb in SLI, 4x4gb 2133mhz corsair memory, evga p67 SLI board and a AX 850 PSU along with one OCZ Vertex 3 240gb SSD as OS / Games disk and a 1tb WD Caviar blue for long-term storage everything placed in a cooler master HAF 932 maxed out with red glowing fans in all slots :)
Kept this PC config from 2011 to 2019 but did a few upgrades along the way, added a i7 3770k + asrock z77 extreme6 motherboard and also replaced SSD/HDD combo with 2x Samsung 840 Pro 512gb in Raid 0 and my Graphics cards got replaced 2 times, once with a EVGA 780 Ti and later on a MSI GTX 980 Ti
Also got tired of the noise from the case so i also moved over all the parts to a fractal design define XL after a few years.
4:36 Not our boii just throwing a random 360 to flex his drving skills 😂
I've got that corsair case in white, been running it for about 9/10 years now, plenty of space in it so never seen a reason to replace it 😅
I love the corsair case on the 120 pound one
You sir found my case I’ve had that since 2013 at least shows my age having that Corsair case it’s a good case I love how roomy it is and was always worried about my case being too heavy which is why I got the Corsair one you have there. It’s never failed me and is a sturdy chonky boy I just called it “the cube!!!!”
Come for the calming voice and look into how things were back in the day, stay for the main character (Harry the dog).
4:35 starting off that GTA:V benchmark with some impressive driving!
The i5-2500K was the first CPU I ever bought myself. Still running strong as a now lower spec machine for my mom's light computing use.
Harry is goodest boy. Also a Jack. You cannot go wrong with the big personality in that little frame.
I have that big ole corsair case on my old comptuer. i love that big ole cube lol
I just got a neglected pc with a z270 and 7700k for $90 US. Got a rx 6600 for $100 to pair with it and a cheap ssd and hopefully flip it for a decent profit. Would still make a good budget build for someone getting into PC gaming.
Beautiful dog!
Looks like a cool case.
harry is so cute!!❤❤ not suprised he got distracted by a pigeon😂
I remember I had the Carbide AIR 240 at one point, without the optical drive bay. I remember hating it because most modern graphics cards wouldn't fit in it and the ATX12V connector was a major pain to install (I had to remove the top panel to see where I was inserting because the clearance was so tight). Also the door panels didn't screw in correctly because the screw holes were drilled slightly off.
I'm still rocking a Corsair Carbide air 540 myself, I've had it since new and it's still as solid as the day I got it.
Bought similar myself beginning of last year, i7 7700k with a asrock MB in a Be quiet PCspecialist case payed £130. Paired it with an MSI Trio RTX2070 Super. My daughter loves it. Decent gaming PC for less than £400.
7700K was equally matched with i3 10100F which is such a different class, only being superseded by the legendary 12100F of the 1700 socket, and the 2070s beats the 3060 in some scenarios as well
That ASUS reminded me of the 1st GPU I ever bought; an AMD ASUS HD 7770. Made me choke a little bit of how the journey has been. Thank you very much for giving older silicon new life.
Thanks for the video! My suggestions on cheap and sensible upgrades:
1. The antec needs an i7 3770(k) or a 3rd gen xeon from ali and someting like a 1070 or 1660. Four cores don't really cut it anymore these days.
2. The corsair needs a 1080 or a 6600 and that's that.
And you are right: why would you build a new machine around the 7700(k) when the i3-10100 exists and offers an upgrade path? Not to mention 3rd gen Ryzens...
5:07 Look at it is marvelous like some kind of monolith Corsair carbide air, is awesome case would love to find one cheap.
At one point i was considering replacing my Silver Stone Raven 03 with that case
I've had the Antec 300 back in the day with an i5-3570k , my dad did used this pc later until 2020. I liked that case a lot. 😁
Seeing the dog always makes me want to give a like
Mostly good parts, always liked the look of Corsair "cube" cases, then Lian-li came along with the O11 series cases. The O11's just looked much slicker/modern in design.Good to see what you do with these rigs next!
I have the Corsair cube in gray. It's still a great case to work with.
Your "assistant" gets distracted way too easily!
That Corsair case is a monster. 7700K is getting a bit dated for gaming but an RTX 3050 is a really good GPU for it to work with. Looking forward to seeing more.
Bro! I wanted that 2500k + gtx560 build so bad back in the day! I ran an overclocked core 2 + 550ti around 2011. Ran pretty well even then. Good times.
Was expecting ol' Harry to hike his leg at first 😂
Memories. My previous PC with an i5 2400 and a Radeon HD 4000 series had that Antec case. I gave it to a friend thinking it was broken and the problem was one stick of RAM.
More doggo plz.
I just made a build with an i7-6700k that was inspired by finding a z270 asus prime mobo in the trash around the corner. I was suprised to find that it still worked, as well as the G4400 processer that was slotted into the motherboard. It was likely from an old Mining rig. I found a cheap i7 on ebay and am surprised at how well it keeps up! Especially with a solid overclock. I made the build really fancy with a nice white case, white cables, and painted an old evga blower style 1070 i had lying around white, then added Bluetooth and wifi. Ended up passing it on to a friend for $450. I didnt make much profit by any means, but it was a nice experience to build it and i didnt lose anything to it but some time. well worth it in my opinion. keep an eye out in your neighborhood for some trash-can deals!
Taking e-waste and building it into something valuable is strangely more satisfying than the tiny profit to be made from flipping. That's not to say that I refuse the profit. 😏😏😏
Ooo I do likes that square case a lot, big cavernous cases means super cooling packages and despite it being a bit crusty on the edges my Coolermaster HAF-XM has always been a solid investment since I bought it years back and means you can fill the insides with 240mm fans for serious heat extraction. My CPU cooler is an oddball, a Coolermaster G100-MasterAir which is a flower type built around this thick thick single heatpipe, folks slated it but it keeps my Ryzen 5 nice and cool with a reasonable overclock and I paid very little for it brand new too. Downside is you can't use ram cooler sticks, only standard sticks will fit under the flowery bit but the plus side is it does spread cool air around the whole base of the cooler so the mosfets and ram, major IC's are kept nice and fresh too.
4:36 that 360😮😮
That's crazy I had almost the same build as the first computer in 2011 but the ti version of the 560. The 2500k was a legendary cpu it served me well till the first Ryzen came out.
Ooh, nice Antec case, my main pc runs in one of those.
I own that Corsair cubic monstrosity. It houses an i7-6700K that has put in a LOT of work. The case is humongous, but a dream to build in. :0)
I got a Corsair Air 540 off my brother-in-law who found it on the street while doing a run as a garbage man. Great case, just missing some hdd and cd mounts 😅
Delidind and applying liquid metal between the die and heatspreader works wonders with the 7700k. 15-20°C drop in temperature. I got mine from 90°C at 4.75 GHz to 80°C at 5 GHz.
My i7-7700K is currently running at 32C, on the original paste. But, I am also waiting on delivery of some liquid metal, for an i7-4790K that I have. 😁😁😁
@@curtis.albrecht.79 The CPU in the video seemed also way cooler than mine with 4.5 GHz. Guess there is some thermal paste lottery involved. 😅
While the channel is not really about it, the second case is quite interesting for a potential server build considering you can put 6 hard drives in it and maybe a few more with two IcyDocks in place of the disc drives.
You are proper mental mate. I have to watch your videos just so you can get your money back on this crap ;) I saw a couple of Dell cases on the roadside waiting for a scrappy to pick up when I was out for a walk the other day and I was tempted to have a nose, but I haven't caught your disease just yet so I kept walking, which was what I was meant to be doing.
Imagine what could have been inside!
I always take a look inside haha
I still run a carbide 540 case but mine has a 5950x and 4090 in it.
I'm so happy I still have my Air 540. I recently upgraded to a 680x but this case is still amazing. I had it for 8 years before I shelved the Air 540.
the 680X aged so well
Great video
😃 yay! Fix or Flop, Season 1, Episode 2, lets go! 👊😏
My Ryzen 7 2700 sits in an Antec 300 case. And I got my i7-7700 free from a family member in the form of a Dell XPS 8920, with a 1050ti and 16GB of DDR4. I installed my Western Digital SN750 Black 500GB NVME to make a nice backup gaming rig.
