Thanks, Mate, Great Video easy Step by step, to understand, how to replace a Transmission mount. Wasn't sure how high to lift the jack up under to support the transmission to get out the rubber mount. Now I know. Thank you, Waiting for my Transmission mount order then, I'll give it a go CHEERS, again.
Two clunks I chased for a very long time was left engine mount and torque converter bolts very common come loose Used locktite tightened the crap out of them as suggested by transmission company
I always go genuine.. My Xr6 is 17 years old and all the failed parts I'm pulling off are Ford. My thinking is - if this came of the factory (and most look like they did) - I got another 17 years of good motoring ahead! :) (And thanks to you, Gearbox mount is my next on the list - Got lots of knocking and slowly replacing parts to try and track it down!)
Thanks once again for this awesome video. In relation to the plastic car stands you have, would that raise the car enough to get underneath for an oil change such as access the filter easily? I use the car stands/jack. Cheers
Cheers mate. So I seen this comment yesterday and of course I had to go to the shed and check. Yes, you definitely can get to the drain plug and filter with the ramps that I have. There isn’t the most amount of room but it can definitely be done. You’d easily get an oil tray under there as well. I think there is a very similar set of ramps you can get that sit a little higher than these ones. They’re definitely a lot easier than getting the jack and axle stands out that’s for sure.
Another clear tutorial. Always wondered what that rubber mount does that is on the rear extension housing that you had the jack under. It looks like it was used to hold the factory exhaust bracket?? That bracket seems to get deleted after time??
Cheers mate. I was thinking the same thing when I was under the car, not exactly sure what that extra mount is for. I may have to do some research to find out coz it will bug me now 😛

Exactly mate, that’s the way I look at it as well.
Are the ba and bf mounts the same?
Yeah mate, just gotta make sure you get the correct mount for your transmission.
