    Dixie Waste Services called - they said you were standing too close together and they wish you'd cleaned the mud off their dumpster. I believe their exact words were "what are we even paying you for?"

      In years of being on sentry duty, area guard, and a few other duties that required the use of a radio (both hand and in humvee) I never ever heard this stated, so I'd say that no, probably not a classic. More like a classic civ thing to say.

    • @Sableagle
      @Sableagle 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      My favourite was: "Hello, Zero. This is Lima Three Zero. You are wearing a bobble-hat and scarf. Out."
      (Zero is the OC. Lima Three Zero was a detachment. "Wearing a bobble-'at an' scaarrf" rhymes with "'aving a bloody laarrf" in a Cockney accent. The grid reference they had been given was not a suitable place for a radio detachment.)

      Id say probably not, its more about getting the shot on the first try. Having to deal with automatic recoil would likely make it allot harder if you miss. The only time I could see it being of use, would be the final spin stage. But even then, the recoil along with already being tired sounds like a bad combo for marksmanship.

      They were also beginning to set up tables and such for the end-of-match prizes around the Stage 2 pavilion, could've been a really boring call like that.

    Is prone a requirement for the stage or simply the most functional way of going about this? Curious, because I'd like to try it out both kneeling and prone with an ACOG and gear (want to know if the up/down exhaustion and added time is more detrimental than the reducing stability of the knee) but a moot point if kneeling wouldn't be an option per your rules anyways.

    with some practice and technique you can really huck those things far and easier on your back.

Enter up a ramp, step onto a platform suspended from corner chains, knock down first three plates, move off platform, climb stairs, fire from prone to knock down next three plates, cross "Burma bridge," shoot through gaps in two counter-rotating windmills to knock down next three plates without hitting the windmill vanes, go down angled rope, lie on back behind 8" wall and sit up for each shot to knock down next three plates, get up, crawl 20 feet under a camo net strung across 12" legs, go through a 2-foot-square window at waist height, shoot under a 12" lintel to knock down next three plates, unload, cross a line of tyres hanging on ropes and a rope swing over a ball pool, load a fresh mag and then make the shot on each of five hostage targets.

    Ian's kettle bell technique is dangerous. The power and momentum is supposed to come from the legs and the forward thrust of the hips, not the back and arms.

    The match design seems fantastic for hitting all the categories but it honestly feels like it is dipping too close to being dangerous. Like, someone is going to destroy their back or annihilate a muscle or joint. It seems like it could be modified to continue to be difficult and intense while being less of a game of chicken with life-altering physical injury.

      Athletic Performance Shooting it doesn’t make a difference. At best one less hit is required.

      SinistralRifleman . Roger I’ve never tried it. I used 69 in 3gun and never had too much trouble with spinners but that’s a bit different than iron sighted retro guns and gear.

    Truly, truly brutal challenges These are not Jung men. But they have something to prove. That is they can prove to themselves they still have it. They have health insurance, pride and are free men doing what they love.

    Everytime you miss you have to make an additional hit on the top steal before continuing.

    If you dislike the magazine pouch, try a BAR magazine pouch.

      Good idea but a lot of army units were still using m14 mag pouches during that time and would probably hold them better.
