Yes it is old wisdom, re-phrased many different ways. I realised I looked more like I was juggling than anything else while talking about, probably quite appropriate.
Nice job. I really look forward to your content (the BMW too). I do agree that it would be good to lose the canned music. Just you chatting away as you work is always interesting. Or take a tip from Allen Millyard - people regularly comment about how much they like the ticking clock in the background 😊
Thanks, I am looking at more chat less blatt for some future videos. As for the clock, you need to watch more of my workshop ones I have a random alarm clock that goes off during most videos, never yet bothered to hunt it down.
Instead of shot blasting, I had mine frame chemically cleaned, its much safer especially having an OIF bike. Local to me is a company called "Malmesbury Stippers (No they were not the local entertainment group before you ask)
I like appliance paint instead of powder coating. Easier to touch up and fairly tough. Just not a variety in colors. Takes a bit to dry well enough though, a week or more to really get hard. For black thats my go to.

After having my frame blasted and making doubly sure ALL the openings were closed up, it was still a major worry that there was absolutely no grit entering the inside of the frame. If I was to do it now I'd definitely use paint stripper. Saying that, the modern quality of Nitromors isn't what it was, apparently.
About your stuck head, the older twins had head bolts not studs no problems getting the head off, pistons out of barrel is another story! Try removing the studs by double nutting them. 🙂
Thanks for the advice, but I have already tried that. The studs aren't standard, they have been replaced with stainless, even where originally it would have had bolts. I believe it is mostly Galvanic corrosion that has the studs stuck in the head. I have tried double nutting, I am considering welding nuts on now!
I'll have to see if there is a video of these in some wildlife program. I have come across the nest so often in imported bikes, but they are always old nests.
Can you get rid of that dreadful music which blights your video's . We're grown ups and can take you talking through what you're doing and even silence is better than that.. I could not get to the end sadly.. Just my personal opinion but music adds nothing to these type of video's IMHO
We realised watching it back tonight that some of the music was a little loud. But it still didn't mask the heavy breathing! :) We will take your view into account with our ambience choices.
agreed had to turn volume off which is sad cuz then I miss when he talks, sorta what i'd imagine would be like watching a good motorcycle rebuild channel video, with bad french porno audio . . for sec there I thought he might try to mount the motorbike? DOH!!!!
Sign on a shop I used to frequent: "Good, fast, cheap. Choose two."

I like it . .
The usual struggle with the Triumph Swing Arm, well done !

Great idea, I'll bear it in mind. Not sure if there are any strippers near me, but I'm keen to look :)

I'll have to look into appliance paint. It isn't something I am familiar with.

If only we managed to do everything we think about, what an amazing world it would be.

More and more I am coming back to paint! It certainly gets the popular vote. I was thinking that most people would say powder, how wrong I was.
will nitromors remove powder coating?
@@deandee8082 Good question, I am not sure personally
I would paint the frame
It realy would be my choice if I had somewhere inside to paint during the Winter. We'll see.

Wasp nest os what Americans called a Dirt Dobbers. Not like hornets.

Seconded. Why do TH-camrs think that background "music" is essential? It becomes annoying and distracting very quickly.
