That dude is a machine just cranking up hill non stop while having a conversation and not even a slight increase in his breathing. Epic. Also I've watched this vid like 10 times now but I just can't help myself. I live in Pennsylvania and I wanted the Patron 900 tuned so unbelievably bad. I called every Scott dealer within a 5 hour radius trying to find one. Eventually I spoke to one guy who basically said wait until fall to try and order the '23 model and then wait longer for it to come in or give up because apparently there are only single digit numbers of the 900 tuned in the US. I decided to just move on down the list and start considering other options. Well, I was also shopping for an EMTB for my fiance as well, and was continuing to call around trying to find a strike 920 for her when I stumbled across a shop about 3 hours away that just so happened to have a 900 tuned, a 900, and a 920 on the way and supposedly only a week out. I instantly put down a deposit on the 900 tuned. It's supposed to be in this coming Thursday or Friday. Fingers crossed. Praying to the Scott gods! Wish me luck! 🤞
I just got myself an emtb to replace the “easy” days I do on the road bike. It’s so much fun! Wish I’d have bought one sooner, haven’t been on the road bike all week 😁
I have regular MTB, regular gravel bike and an eADV/gravel bike. The ebike became my go to for my commute to work. After working a 10hr night shift on my feet all shift, it's nice to take it easy and enjoy my ride home at 7am. People get confused with the whole assist on ebikes and think it does everything for you. But the bike doesn't move unless you are moving your legs and also has the speed restrictions! But as I say at 7am after a 10hr shift it makes those hills easy on the way home lol
I‘m just always in awe in Switzerland when everyone is riding around 6-10k e-mtbs to tour around on the road on the weekend… but this machine just looks maaaaad.
I have days I average 250 watts on the ebike. Sure most is without motor because it shuts off but actually speeding up hills is fun. I am a heavy rider, especially if I carry stuff with my bike so I can often see the 700 watts. Sure I can't do it forever but I am also very fast uphill. I love it. Also handy to have the backup and start a tour in eco but you can always go tour or turbo in the end. That's how you end up using the bike more and more and the distances grow. I'll get a gravelbike soon but getting back to cycling the ebike was a gamechanger. And Bosch did a ton to upgrade the smart system. Navigation on the kiox, it has a powermeter, you can lock the bike by picking up the display and it even offers alarm when someone wants to steal the bike.
Tony getting you the good stuff, looked wickedly fast. You could of ridden back and got a pump be super quick on that, but it's probably good training for him ridding with a flat. :)
Love this! What was your heart rate like? I have a e-mtb (as well as non-assist traditional) and still get a very decent workout on the e-bike. My heart rate is still getting pushed up on the e-bike!
That looked extremely fun. I agree you can smash yourself on an ebike if you want. Took the kid out in the cargo bike and gave myself jelly legs on the way to and from where we were going. Helps to have a one man cheer squad giggling and laughing when you go fast or turn tight.
Scott's 'Beast'. Is there a cage in that van to keep it under control?? Was it fed on lesser Enduro bikes made by Canyon and Willier? For the sake of us mere mortals, keep it off our trials!
The one thing you didn't get to do.. is try and ride stuff you CAN'T ride on a regular bike. Steep, long, terrain, that generally you push. That's where you'll feel the exact same thing in the legs as you do with a regular bike, except it's just on gnarlier terrain. Of course easy fire roads, and single track will be easier on the legs (HR should be close though) although you can tune the assist levels to make it as hard as you want... You can make the damn thing twice as hard as a regular bike if you want... turn the assist level all the way off and power down to 10% and you'll see what pedaling 2 DH bikes at once feels like lol.
If those are quality carbon rims, maybe, but probably not. Those things can take one hell of a beating, and probably two as well. Check out this test by Danny MacAskill for example, he had to go bonkers to crack one. ( th-cam.com/video/VfjjiHGuHoc/w-d-xo.html )
love my emtb (canyon neuron:ON 8) which i've had just over a year...and live around the corner from hamsterley too... got a shimano motor - but never use the highest setting (boost) and typically ride in eco / trail...but lush to cruise uphills @ over 15mph...
Lance Armstrong ref!!!!!! PMSL....A lot of money but for a huge advantage Francis. Cant see you riding an ebike except for your filming which would make a big difference to your channel.Cheers for making me think of your future!!!!! Ha Ha Ha!!!!
@@Cade_Media I'm not even convinced that motors and batteries will stay out of racing. If the races are faster because of the electric assist, they could be more exciting to watch.
I handed my electric MTB back to the shop because it was too slow,I like going on longer rides on the streets so fifteen mph is absolutely crap, fifteen mph is ok for where you were today 👍🏴🚴
Doe Ebikers have trouble reading English? I keep seeing them on my local trails where they are prohibited. Oh wait I forget: that doesnt apply to you because you're special!

You'll have fun with that bike. I just received my Patron 900 and it's a beast and perfect for me. Simply in love with it.

The beauty of ebikes: You don't pedal any softer, you just go faster.

Tony definitely knows his stuff, maybe when his TH-cam career is over he could get himself a job in the cycling industry 😉
Probably, if he can figure out where the question has gone. 😎
🤣

I’ve just finished building an eBike from scratch and it’s bloody epic 👌 highly recommend for any cyclist as a lazy day ride alternative.

Emtb mode can be full power, emtb and toggles between turbo and tour, so it could be giving turbo when you don't know it is ..
A lot of mountain bikers go to bike parks where they take ski lifts or shuttles up to the trail. E-mtb’s let’s you do such runs in many more places
I rode a friends specalozed emtb last Yr in Hamsterley. Like you, couldn't stop grinning the whole way round 😁
Jeremy Clarkson: power!!!!!
Power and speed solves many things😀

Didn't have a HR monitor on but I was riding hard still, definitely jelly legs at the end!
Could you fit an electric air compressor in that frame space ? 😄
Yo! Francis, where is that section at 2mins point in the video at Hamsterly. I go a lot and I can't for the life of me find it.
Up is the new down
Tony is quite the salesman!
I’ve always wanted a emtb, that one looks very cool.

That's what tonys for
Thanks Francis and wicked daft Tony.....Congrats on the KOM...Strava got it !......Peace
💪
@@Cade_Media King Of Motors?
Going to try that nice heavy E-Bike on the Beamish Drop???
Does it weigh same as the van behind it ....?? ... still very nice 👌
You need to get yourself on a black run DH course with a trail bike or a hard as nails hardtail, it's so much fun
Tony would be a great salesman
Tony is such a salesman’s name. 😂
Ebike I want one. Needs to be class 3 and have a battery that I can swap out.
Tony reminds me of Eric Idle from Monty Python
If it helps you keep up with the infamous mullet then it's a great bike, end of.

Wicked cool paintjob on the bike

For a minute there I thought Tony said £8599 for bicycle, must be my tinnitus playing up again
cheap that, people are buying electric cars for £60k 😂
Johnnynerdout on TH-cam. Build your own for £2k
Someone should tell Scott the "TUNED" logo looks like it says "TURD"
No pump again? 😂 do you not carry C02?
Aren't you guys damaging your rims when riding with flat tyres?

what was the segment? i'm guessing the beast climb?
the whole first bit of the red route, starting near the carpark climbing up and then a few trails and back down to the bottom
It was the start of black to nitrous. I managed to nab it.
That bike is a monster!!! Want one!!
Tony's accent is primo content!
Word of the day: CRAZY ! 😅👏
So you've finally found out how to drop Tony... nice work... but two pumps needed in 2 recent videos... IT'S A SIGN!
love my emtb (canyon neuron:ON 8) which i've had just over a year...and live around the corner from hamsterley too...

An e-gravel bike would be rad

340% assistance would mean for 200W input, the bike delivers 680W !!
Good vlogging glasses. We can see your eyes and face.
This bike is the future. Prices will come down.
And the tech will keep getting better too
@@Cade_Media I'm not even convinced that motors and batteries will stay out of racing. If the races are faster because of the electric assist, they could be more exciting to watch.
@@owensnicholas there is already ebike MTB racing and world championship
#Magic!
Finally a bike to beat Tony with….
hamsterly is sick
Tony's van is soooooooo cool. But parking in Bedburn - cheapskate !😀
This bike proves kashima coating does nothing but look nice
1. It's 750 Watt hour battery not 750 Watt
2. 750 Watt hour battery isn't really massive.
3. £8599 😮
I handed my electric MTB back to the shop because it was too slow,I like going on longer rides on the streets so fifteen mph is absolutely crap, fifteen mph is ok for where you were today 👍🏴🚴
Just de-restrict it like everyone else lol.. they’re so much better once the full power is unleashed.
fu*k yeah
Last⚡️⚡️
well guys.. you should learn to pedal an ebike.... you need to spin it in order to get the support from the motor
Riding an £8K bike but too tight to pay for parking in the actual forest, so parks in Bedburn 🤣🤣
Wireless charger 😂
Maybe first?
Thinking like a teenage girl.. How do I get SCOTT to notice me?
Hellooo
hello!
Oh cool a bike
Lush bike! Still has turd written on the top tube 😃
Doe Ebikers have trouble reading English? I keep seeing them on my local trails where they are prohibited. Oh wait I forget: that doesnt apply to you because you're special!
That font looks like turd :D, designer needs to have another crack.
I’m looking at you not the bike what the hell I thought your demo the bike not the person and the person running his mouth
You can make a better one for £2k -£4k. Look up johnnynerdout on TH-cam.
