That's true. It's also true that most Americans say "Kah-Way-Co." Which, I think is ok, because I think using the American vocabulary of sounds to say a word while speaking American English is perfectly reasonable.
when Peter calls customer service it made me imagine how did it look in the office...They have a phone with a small washed out label "customer service phone" no one ever touches it because no one ever rings...but then on March 22nd 2017 Peter calls and the dust from the phone lifts, a lady picks up with a shaking hand....and they begin to talk.
@Moth Little I know this is a late reply like a year later but can you add more to this short story? Post it somewhere? I would legit pay like 5 or 10 dollars to be able to read a finished short story about this video or whatever you get it.
i love how none of these comments are negative or hateful. we're all here to watch peter draw and have a good time. it always makes me happy when i see a new peter video
Milyusia Arts does it have to have thorns? or would the thorns be part of the drawing? and would you use the flower of the rose or the stem? that poor rose...
You make drawing look so easy, yesterday i sat down, and i started fighting with the paper, using a pencil. I was fighting like a lion, but at the end, i came out as the antillope. :( but you know, i guess i need to keep trying. Love ya Pete
trying by itself won't help. It's very difficult to know how to improve your drawings whithout critics, so i recommend you to draw something entirely out of your head and then look at every single tiny piece of detail, to find places that can be fixed or improved.
Álvaro Tavares But i'm not trying to draw something that is SOMETHING, like a car, a flower, a landscape, i'm just doodling around (at least trying to) and then sometimes it looks cool, sometimes it doesn't.
Even if it's a "doodling whatever", you can get better results just by making a deep research into your own lines and shapes. Strange shapes or lines are the first thing I notice once I finish my art.
DoesAnyoneOnThisPlanetReallyNeedThisManyCharactersToInputHisName ya w in Russian is pronounced v so it makes sense since most eastern Europeans draw from that
Well not that it is a big deal how you pronounce it or anything, but They said it was was from Germany. I live in Holland next to Germany (and I can speak German) and I have a feeling they would pronounce it as Ko-We-Ko
Nope the "weco" stands for "Weber & Co." The "KA-" might be from Koch with the O->A. I'd guess we'd have to find an ad to be sure. (or be a rebel and pronounce it with "wee" anyway!)
but in germany they don't pronounce an O as an A. U is OE and ü = U but with O it is O and ö = oi and A is just AH ( it is not pronounced the same way as in england. Where the A is more like EY. And the E is an I in germany the E = EY there. (if you would compare it with german)
"I'll do what I want with my nibs, I'll flex them or not, okay? Don't be telling me to flex my nibs if I don't wanna flex my nibs." I found my senior year quote.
Peter, your videos are so relaxing and help me fall asleep. I love your art style, and your calm and collected personality is so great. Not to mention your voice is so soothing as well! Keep up the great work, you are such an inspiration.
alto the brass one smells funny because it transfers a metallic smell to your hands. The other ones, aluminum, do not smell. In case you were wondering.
Talking about "album", can you please make a video of what's on your music playlist whilst creating! I'm very curious about your musical taste/preferences.
I just got my Kaweko sport pen in the mail and Im drawing with it right now. thanks for much for introducing this super awesome pen dude! I love how easy it is to hold, that the cap actually stays on and the fluidity and flow of the nib and ink totally make it worth the money! hopefully one of these days I'll send ya a package. got some interesting stuff at the art store I live near.
I like hearing you talk on your live streams or youtube videos bc they give me inspiration of what i should draw next. just little sayings you say & i enjoy. they are then made into a drawing or doodle & I appreciate that. so thank you, peter.
love your stuff peter. i've doodled for a long time now..my enthusiasm dropped off back a while ago..but you've really inspired me to get back at it.keep up the great work! i admire your talent and style a lot!
Peter, have you ever considered taking a career in book illustration,be it, children books,or young adult novel work, you have a very creative and professional art style with pens, makes it look like it is from old story book illustrations, just a thought, cheers!
I'd love to see your take on a demogorgon or a thessalhydra, You seem like the perfect guy to be capable of showing the imagination and vision for such entities. I love your style and find endless pleasure from looking at all the fun details and descriptions you add.
Hi Peter. I really enjoyed this video and I thought you might like to know it is 15th April 2020 and we are all on lockdown. This is a message from London England and I am a huge fan of your videos at the ripe and wise age of 68! Thanks so much.
Noodler Ahab is Really great with a LARGE tank. Still have mine for the last 2 years. Best fountain pen for journalling and free writing. It writes very smooth and it is rarely spotty.
August Twelfth. Of the day with longer days than the rest. Each year slightly rotated on its axis. A little off-kilter. Really some time in March. The days are too cold and people enjoy having that in common. I'm sitting here in front of some people who can't really see me but they're still watching me. The music has stopped. Silence consumes us.
4:20 playing runescape while listening to a bunch of different music in my childhood was some of the best memories of my life. Is that pathetic? Maybe. Do I regret it? Nope. I still listen to that music now that I did back then.
I'm from Germany, and here we call it ka-we-ko, but I think that pronunciation is up to who ever is saying the word, That is the beauty of language! Its like in america they pronounce the word quinoa ; Keen-waaah, and a German person would say Ke-nowa. But that is totally up to thy'er person saying it, and I find it very interesting to see how different people say things.
“Someone could be watching this in a million years” hello from 3 years later! 999,997 years to go! Great drawing! Got my eye on a kaweco sport! Maybe I can hold out until after Christmas! Probably not!
I have been a fan of fountain pens for a while, but haven't used one to draw in a while. This video made me hungry for new ink. I bought some Noodlers Heart of Darkness ink because it came with a free fountain pen. Loving it so far. I did a drawing video with it. Thanks Peter for the inspiration to keep drawing!
I just recently found your channel ( I love it it's awesome btw) and something about this video, maybe the way you talk and the atmosphere that you create makes me think that you're like the next Bob Ross
German here. The Company is "Heidelberger Federhalter-Fabrik Koch, Weber & Co" and if you spell the first letters in german K is pronounced "Ka" (as it is in KArma or the british CAn't ), W is "We" (VEry) and Co stands for "COmpany" and is the same. Btw, you should absolutely look up some pictures of Heidelberg. This city has a rich history and looks quite stunning. ~sorry for bad english~
There's a lot of artists in my family. Mostly tattoo artists but my dad is obsessed with fountain pens. I'm a musician but i also like to doodle and I'm curious about the difference between these and regular ball points.
hi! i know im a little late to the game but its a german fountain pen whose name is pronounced (cuh-VAY-ko) emphasis on the vay. its short for Koch Weber & Co pronounced (cuh veybuh and ko). hopefully you can now see where the name came from and why its pronounced the way it is. love the vids! :)
My gf studied German for a while in collage and her best guess was "Ka-Væ-co" Kaw like a bird. Væ the vowel is half way between and eh and an ay. co like short for a company.
i think you would like the book the meaning of liff (It's a book with all these lovely weird funky words made for things that never had a word giving to them)
He called customer service... to ask how to pronounce the name a pen.
He's my hero
"Kaweecoo" .... "probably"
Since it's a German company the w is definitely pronounced as a v.
That's true. It's also true that most Americans say "Kah-Way-Co." Which, I think is ok, because I think using the American vocabulary of sounds to say a word while speaking American English is perfectly reasonable.
antoniaCSophie it's pronounced ka-veh-ka I believe
antoniaCSophie though I could be wrong
Haha only Peter calls a sketchbook company about how to pronounce another company's product
im just shocked that a sketch book company has actual live customer service. lol
Every cs agents dream call. Jeez Peter.... if you'd typed the name of the PEN into your PHONE you might have found the cs number for THE PEN COMPANY.
Luke exactly
Luke lmao the funniest thing
Cool
You made her day, shes going to tell the story to all her friends at work forever.
craaaazy hilarious work stories amirite
Moleskine has a Kaweco fountain pen.
when Peter calls customer service it made me imagine how did it look in the office...They have a phone with a small washed out label "customer service phone" no one ever touches it because no one ever rings...but then on March 22nd 2017 Peter calls and the dust from the phone lifts, a lady picks up with a shaking hand....and they begin to talk.
LoL..Thanks for taking me there to. :-D

Laughing, here, Moth :D

i love how none of these comments are negative or hateful. we're all here to watch peter draw and have a good time. it always makes me happy when i see a new peter video
Charlie L stfu u bitch
Sorry I had to
You need to draw with a rose now.
Or dip a notebook into paint and draw onto a huge pen!
Milyusia Arts does it have to have thorns? or would the thorns be part of the drawing? and would you use the flower of the rose or the stem?
that poor rose...
He could clip off most of the thorns except for one and use that thorn as the nib (folding the stem, of course).
Te LoRax knowing him, he would use every part of the rose in many different ways
I ONLY SAW IT NOW HE DID IT
You make drawing look so easy, yesterday i sat down, and i started fighting with the paper, using a pencil. I was fighting like a lion, but at the end, i came out as the antillope. :( but you know, i guess i need to keep trying. Love ya Pete

Hugh Jainus he will do what he must do
yes he can
Yes you can shove off
Lol
Just toxic mate. How does this help you?
Kaweco is pronounced "Ka - Ve - Cou." Your last pronunciation was perfect. Definitely not "kha-whey-co" nor "ka-wee-co."
DoesAnyoneOnThisPlanetReallyNeedThisManyCharactersToInputHisName no sire he doesnt
DoesAnyoneOnThisPlanetReallyNeedThisManyCharactersToInputHisName ya w in Russian is pronounced v so it makes sense since most eastern Europeans draw from that

You never fail to make me laugh, Peter! Calling customer service on how to pronounce the name is hilarious 😂
Apparently is pronounced "kah-co"? Not too sure how accurate that is, though.
I'm German and I'd pronounce it "Kaweehhhkoo"
Veronica Quinn du hast das so lang gemacht. Man spricht das "Kavehhco" aus!
jep, aber dafür müsste er erstmal die AUssprache deutscher Buchstaben lernen *lol*
I'm not german and I'd pronounce it "Kaweehhhkoo"

Wonderful drawing as always.
Your drawings are so simple... Yet complicated at the same time ;)
And one year later we are here :)
i think you would like the book the meaning of liff (It's a book with all these lovely weird funky words made for things that never had a word giving to them)
Peter played Runescape growing up? My man! Runescape in its prime was amazing.
