Great video, I plan on picking up this device in the Aliexpress sale starting tomorrow. Does it come with one of those no-name SD cards? Don't know whether to order the (no card) option or not as if I have to replace it anyway I'd rather save the money.
It’s usually the no-name sd cards or no cards on Ali-express. Try checking it on mechdiy’s website & make a comparison. Right now it’s on sale on their website as well. And you can also use a 16% discount code. If it’s cheaper than Ali then you can order from them. They provide better quality sdcard.
Finally someone comparing sizes with 4 inch devices. I think many are trying to choose between the RGB30, the RG40XXH, and the Smart Pro bc of the bigger screens. This comparison makes the choice easier in favor of the Trimui. He only flaw for me is that probably you cannot install Pico 8, or it’s going to take a lot more work than with the RGB30. Any experience with that?
whenever i use the stock OS while playing let say any Pokemon game, the turbo button would always be L2/R2 button. but when i flash the new Crossmix OS, the turbo button is not working. anyone know where i can configure this back? appreciate this fams
Once you get CrossMix and start working with themes this becomes a thing of beauty and class. Wholeheartedly recommend this. Performance and customisation is high and the current price makes it a perfect purchase. I have an Ambernic SP and a Miyoo Mini Classic. MM is my go to for 8bit handhelds. Can play one handed with some games so its kinda cool for certain circumstances. SP for RPG's and longer sessions because controls are more rigid and tighter than most. However since I got the TrimUI it is so nice to use and the controls are great for me personally I have been using this for so much gaming. My concern is I am going to break it with overuse! My weird recommendation: With Smart Pro switched off completely, connect a second controller with USB C OTG cable in top port and then boot the system. Controls will default to the plugged in controller. Why do this crazy thing? If you plan a long/intense gaming session it will save the controls on the Smart Pro in the long term. The analog nubs are usually the first to break and its a nightmare to repair/replace if you don't have the skill. Overclock and PSP work great for my use case. All the best!
Great video man I've been thinking about whether to buy this device but 50 pounds is such low price and amazing value. How well does it play PSP, and N64 games now aswell as DreamCast games. Id love to get this device just to play all those and PS1!
@@DrBrute7Please don't leave behind PSP games when testing out this console and DreamCast games I don't like N64 so I'll skip that one and will look out for time stamps where the video goes to PS1 after watching your videos then only I'll make decision whether I want to buy this device or not!
The updated console comes with the crossmix OS on MechDiy. This is from a website which sells different products just like the different sellers available on AliExpress/Amazon. And MechDiy’s marketing department contacted me to review this. They’re available on different platforms. And the price of the product on this website is $99usd, with the discount it comes to $83, along with a quality 128gb memory card. I just don’t accept to review products without making background research about the parties contacting me. This is a good source & the deal is great. If it’s not for you then that’s fine. There are others that might find it useful.
@@DrBrute7 i get what you mean, but the fact is that crossmixOS isnt the official OS ,the "updated" consoles dont come with it, only if you get it from resellers like MechDIy or linxtx(cant remember the exact name but you get it). Also i think people should look up a bit more about the os, for example you missed out on Pressing X on some systems like n64, dreamcast, ps1, to test the different emulator options to say something
CrossMix OS based on the Official OS of TrimUI smart pro. It’s an updated version of the existing Operating System. And if you’re looking at it that way then every seller on AliExpress is a “reseller” Look am not here to argue about these things. Wherever you buy it from it’s up to you. A good deal is a good deal regardless. Again, if it’s not for you, that’s totally fine. But there will be others who may find it helpful. And I make extensive videos about consoles in parts, this one was a review & features overview video. I haven’t made a dedicated emulation testing video yet. When I’ll make it, I’ll be talking about it.
Here’s a Testing Video on Nintendo64 Emulation:

I haven’t checked in on Pico-8 yet. I’ll check it out later today & see how it goes.
Does all PSP Silent Hill and GTA games play smoothly with Crossmix?
I should have got it from where you got yours from. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago from Litnxt and I'm still waiting for.
I got one but I just can't get ps1 emulation to work. Don't really know what I'm doing wrong and can't find anyone who can help.

wish it had 2 tf ports, is there a way to see what games are on the 128g sd ?

Interesting. Sounds like a cool thing to try! Have you checked out portmaster on this build?!

Ps1 works perfectly. N64, mixed experience. Same with DC games. I’ll be making an extensive video on this.

this console doesnt come with crossmix, it came with it because you got it from a reseller that is making money with others people work
