Thank you for the very helpful guidelines and advice. The use of basic shapes, such as a box, to start a drawing sounds very simplistic. But as you clearly demonstrated through your drawing, it gives you a platform to build on. It always goes back to your earlier videos, that stress how important it is to practice drawing basic shapes. Cubes, circles, cylinders, boxes, etc. Thanks again! 👍✌

I tried drawing a dog many times this week, blocking with simple squares or ovals. You were drawing with cubes and cylinders. I was playing checkers; you were playing chess. This helped me succeed, thank you :)

Lol, I just spent an hour trying to draw my dogs head as two boxy forms, and it just was not working. 5 seconds into this video - 'oh, the snout is wider at the bottom'.
Where I am at in Drawabox has conditioned me to always draw my boxes converging at 2 or 3 points, so it messes me up when something is an irregular shape.
