Tips on drawing a waterfall in pen and ink
Sir you have the best "how to" drawing videos on youtube!
thanks much
Agreed.
Hey @@alphonsodunn do you have a art class? Please tell me I really want to know.
@@alphonsodunn it's not even a question of personal preference, it's factual.
Facts
I know this video was done seven years ago, but I only just came across them two days ago. Now I'm "hooked," very much appreciating your excellent explanations of how to draw the very things I've wanted to do for so long (mountains, water and waterfalls, and trees, in particular).
I love your videos. I've been drawing for almost 35 years, I do a lot of hand pin striping now but you have made me pick up my black ink again. Thank you for that. It's like coming back to a long lost love, it's all I think about
lol I like that. Now dont stop : )
You are an amazing teacher!
Thanks for all your vids Alphonso. Enjoyed & learned from every one I've seen.
Thank you very much for this, it's well explained and absolutely gorgeous. I could never get my head around how to best draw the waterfall and this detailed it perfectly. It also gave me a new perspective on rocks, that's been a sticking point for me without my really realising.
Your videos are really helping my art go places. Thank you.
yayyy...thats what I love to hear
I agree with pretty much all of these comments. Nice video, really processional, you must of helped/inspired thousands of people by now. Hell yeah, that's something to be proud of man. Thanks for the videos!

Sir. I have been binge learning from your videos. I am a watercolorist and new to that, as it is. I just love the look of pen and ink drawing wich is painted over with watercolor. It is amixed media made for each other. So now i yearn to learn pen and ink. Your videos have been so helpful. I have learned so much from you. Thank you for what you have done and are doing for us learners. God bless you, and keep up the good work.
You make it look so simple that, one gets inspired at trying hand to sketch.,

+Alphonso Dunn Your Pen & Ink Videos have been "classes" for me, getting started with this medium. I've watched all of them for texture & landscape. Great Work all around. One technical question: What type of pencil do you use & how do you get sharpened like that (good old fashioned whittling?) Keep up the great work & Thanks Again!
For pencils I use a regular #2 or 2mm lead holder. And i have a video on how i sharpen it
you are truely amazing ....

Thanks for the lesson. Is the a certain pen, or brand of pen we should be looking for when attempting to do this?

+Joe Pole Hi, thanks much. I dont believe I did one as yet on drawing a fountain! thats definitely a good idea
yeaah, I would love to see that!
now it came to me that it also could be a good idea to draw things like fog or rain...
anyway, thank you one more time for everything, Alphonso!

Heather Wilkinson I may just put that on the list :-)
That s awesome .
However I would like to throw my pov here if u don't mind 😬 @13:16 the middle rock on the left side its dark shading could be little blurred at some point to suggest water waves more 3 d . Obviously that's just basic but impressive sketch .and u r way more familiar with such stuff
Also I might be wrong. No biggie.
Cheers✌️

I'm a beginner at art are there any books that you would recommend to help me
You don’t need books. Just draw what you see. That’s what I do and I’m only 13, but I’m improving a lot. instagram.com/red_dead_landscapeart?igshid=ms3v5jpdp3p7
