Thanks Alphonso, you really are an amazing artist and teacher.I never learned anything like this from anyone else.Don't ever stop doing what your doing,or I'll be lost.
Such a cool drawing! You can see why kids are facinated with them. Dinosaurs are awe-inspiring (so is your drawing, Alphonso). Great lesson on volume and shading, too.
This... this is a fucking tutorial. Finally someone gets how to produce a proper one. The biggest problem I seem to have with drawing animals is the muzzle/mouth region. Only when its open. I'm pretty sure I over think it and it gets kinda.. out of whack... Watching you though does help and your other basics video have a great improvement on my work. Still over-thinking it but better understanding. It'd be cool to do a breakdown of that process in one of your videos. Unless I missed it somewhere?
You seriously need more views You are one of the few artists that can effectively explain what is your thought process when drawing anything! It is really annoying when I ask for help on something and the person gives me a very vague explanation, as if they do not want to tell me. You seem to really grasp what you are doing keep up the good work! =D
Awesome video but I have one question: As you were sketching it out there was a point where you made the transition from it being a 1 dimensional figure to a 3D figure when you created the head. (depth of the mouth/snout, the curvature of the nose at the tip etc..approx: 9:27 - 9:35) I believe you created it by using foreshortening, how do you do that effectively using shape while still maintaining the volume? I struggle with that aspect in all of my drawings. Once I try to make the transition to 3D, my drawings become a mess. Any tips, tricks, insight you can share would be great. Thanks!
You are amazing Alphonso! thx for your explanation and great tutorial, I absolutely suck at drawing and now with this video I actually managed to draw something a bit decent for the first time in my life :D. Really helpful :)
Nicee! But please Alphonso don't speed it up! I like to see the whole process and who don't want to see everything just skip some parts. I just bought some Sakura micron pens by the way. Thanks!!
***** Oh but that's fine, it's just because I could watch for 1+ hours. Keep up the good work Alphonso, you are amazing. I'd love to be one of your students!!
***** and by the way, let's put an intro and outro on your videos? I can make one for you for free, like 5 seconds, without charge, like a gift. If sound interesting email me! Check out my work www.germanoheitor.com

Anatomically inaccurate- but perhaps you could do another one based on the Prehistoric Planet depiction, maybe make it look 3D too.
I will definitely try
Nicee! But please Alphonso don't speed it up! I like to see the whole process and who don't want to see everything just skip some parts. I just bought some Sakura micron pens by the way. Thanks!!
