30 lbs LAKE TROUT (fishing 200 feet of water!)

On this episode of Larry Smith Outdoors we head up to the UP to visit our good friend, Pat Magdelano of MAGS Custom Rods, to do some giant lake trout fishing! We head out 50 miles to Stannard Rock Reef to fish these ancient lake trout in over 200 feet of water! Using 2 ounce baits and our electronics, we were able to get on some absolute tank fish!

Larry Smith Outdoors I don’t have that rotisserie for my grill but Once upon a time I did that’s how I would cook those Trout! Stuffing lemon slices in the center ! Very good!

Did you catch any smaller fish? This is a great video. 18 to 24 inches are keepers, The big one's are not eaters. I would never keep the hens. The dark grey ones are Cisco's? The big ones are unfit to eat. I never see this on the inland lakes.

We caught some smaller ones, couldn't fit all the fish in the episode! We didn't keep anything over 8 pounds
