- In today's video were going to show you how to fish for trout using micro jigs. One of the most effective ways to catch trout in creeks, streams, or rivers is using micro jigs. Micro jigs have a small profile and represent small bugs like nymphs, grubs, & more. When using these little jigs fishing for trout under a float presents the bait in a way that is extremely natural and hard for these trout to resist! A couple of our favorite ways to fish micro jigs is either using a sliding float or a fixed float. That honestly seems like a good idea, I just got a centerpin so if the guy shows the basics to centerpinning that would be awesome!
I really like them, the magnet doesnt last long and the tail was gone on the first fish but as you see it works for catching them!

That was awesome seeing how well they get the bait but most of the small ones are to small that their mouth cannot fit the hook point in their mouth
For the browns here in AZ - drop shot top hook I use a sort of offset size 18 fly hook. Bait it with one of those eggs with a swimming tail soft plastics. Bottom Hook just a black or white marabou 1/4 oz jig.

0:16 ok I've never fished with micro jigs. I only fish a freestone river in Tennessee. Have caught rainbow and brown trout. Can you please recommend some micro jigs for winter time for trout in Tennessee? I've also never used bright jig colors.

Does this work on wild browns? I live in Scotland and jigs are not fished at all here. I had a cracking season this year fishing marabou jigs, the local browns and sea runs were climbing all over them, best a 3.5lb sea run brown.
I’ve been tying my own micro jigs with Maribou and hair and I had a heck of a time finding small jigs with quality hooks. The panfish style sold at all the stores bend out on a 3+ pound fish. I was able to go to the fly shop and find quality blank jigs. Do you possibly know someone who sells quality blank jigs in small sizes? I need to get like 100 each in 1/80 and 1/100

Merry Christmas Happy New Year I've been watching you guys for a little over a year now really impressed with how knowledgeable you guys are especially for how young you are I really do get a lot of great information from you guys... I have a question have you ever fished out east for steelhead in any of the Great Lake tributaries I would love personally to get out west where you guys are to try and catch those amazing fish it's a little different out on the east you have to use a lot smaller tackle and I was curious if you guys have ever tried it??????

What kind of steelhead pole are you using?
Those are considered micro or small when fishing on the west coast but the real small, light line, light weight presentations is what we use in Pa for steelhead.
Ya I keep telling them micro is 1/32 & 1/64 oz jigs and they need to come out with a line in those sizes for us east coast steelheaders

I’m in Ohio I can’t fish for trout like you guys, but the jig style hits smallmouth river bass like crazy no one up here even knows what twitch jigs are the standard marabou jig is used but not often..

When it comes to trout, I tie my own jigs. My preferable sizes are 1/64th and 1/80th.
Fish with tube jigs on a river that hardly anyone fishes. I dont even get excited about a 20" brown, because I'm looking for the big fish😋

hey addicted my dad on christmas gave me an addicted winter chrome kit it was amazing a few days ago i got my brother a rod and got him into fishing hes 8 and caught 20 in. trout. O and im officially taking over addicted fishing channel i caught a steelead
