How do you think a 52 year old retired single dude would like living in Cuenca, would one get bored? Thinking of visiting in a few months to check out.
@@GenXerInMexico honestly I think you'd like it, most things are here that you might want. Definitely worth a visit to see for yourself. The Americans seem to be enjoying it. I just met another guy who moved there and he pretty much decided that would be his base within a week
@@AronXplores thanks man. Seems like the info points to American retirees mostly love it in Cuenca. Im almost ready to pull the trigger for a ticket to come down for two months for pre visit, if not like can bolt over to Colombia where I lived for two years and know a blast, but looking for a change where settle down. Keep up with the videos, great work!
@@GenXerInMexico that's a good point actually, I did see mainly older Americans, like 60 and over. Apparently there is an area called gringoland (look on Google) and that's where they all buy their houses in Cuenca. I guess it's hard to say for definite if it's for you as we all look for different things. I appreciate the love my friend cheers
@@GenXerInMexico It depends on where you've lived before and what you're looking for, it's not a big city but it's a nice place and there's a good amount to see I prefer the historic center to being out there with expats or the other side of the river, though the area west of the stadium I liked Where did you live in Colombia?
@@AronXplores yah, I think it's a hard call not being on ground. Luckily Ecuador looks amazing and even if did a two month trip and didn't wanna settle would be an amazing experience to have.
They've remodeled and cleaned mercado 10 de augusta. The food has always been wonderful but you could lose your appetite if you looked up at the ceiling.
@AronXplores I don't know for sure. My last visit was 2018, and it was still dirty. I've noticed the ceiling was cleaned in a couple other videos. Food was great all the same😊.
A esa señora que quería estafarle al gringo debería sancionarle, como va a decir que una pitajaya cuesta 1 dólar, hacen quedar mal a la ciudad. 4 a 5 pitajayas dan por un dólar.
