I feel you on needing to remind yourself that the audience for YA is just that...young adults. I often find my self very annoyed with the choices main characters make in the genre 😂

Great reviews, thank you for such thoughtful commentary on these books! You made a really great point about "whiney YA characters" and how it's important for us non-teen readers to remember that these books are probably written to teens who are going through those types of feelings. I noticed that there were several books with less compelling girl/women characters than their boy/man counterparts - do you think there's a common factor (like the authors?). Thank you again - I have Elite Capture in my to-read list and I'm definitely going to get into it when I'm through my other nonfic.
