I could never "one-up" the competition, and certainly couldn't do any of this while going thru formative years. That's why I say the story is just that. Henry Ford was one of the hardest prominent men to get a read on I’ve ever learned about. He was a believer in free market capitalism and was motivated to make a profit and used that money to live a more luxurious life (though not ever excessive), yet in many ways he was also a moderate socialist in the way he dealt with his work force, dealt with investors, profits and the products he produced. He was a self declared pacifist who often acted like one but he would accept the benefits of using his manufacturing empire to build what his country needed for 20th century warfare.

Not sure how much to attribute to the ridiculous “EV Edicts” being foisted on automakers by politicians that either don’t know how to research the subject or don’t care vs other issues like trying to power fullsize trucks with turbo V6 powerplants. What do you attribute the company’s woes to? I’m curious since I’m not necessarily a Ford, Chevy or Chrysler man. In my opinion most of what is wrong with our domestic auto market can be placed on the shoulders of CARB and the whole 50-state mandate that forces the rest of us in 98% of the states in the union to live by California’s ridiculous standards (particularly regarding diesels, which run so much more efficiently than most gas engines that even with higher emissions they produce less per unit just by consuming less fuel overall). It makes NO sense that small trucks, delivery vans and such can’t use engines that are just fine for Europe and Asia…forcing automakers to do costly workarounds for only one market.

@@samsonianI think (could be wrong) they were referencing among other things the way Ford has been allowing and sometimes even encouraging dealers to price gouge by holding back or cancelling production numbers on some of the most desired and / or least expensive models in their lineup, in many cases stopping production without warning on highly hyped models that thousands of deposits and orders have been taken for, refunding deposits but not giving people their vehicle and allowing dealers to take some of the few customer ordered vehicles that actually are built and delivered to refund the deposit and kill the original deal with the person who ordered the car just so they could raise the price far above MSRP and the original agreed sale price and sell the vehicle to the “highest bidder” at a massive profit. There are thousands of cases of Broncos with the original orderer’s name on the window sticker that were sold to someone else who would pay tens of thousands over MSRP to take one of the few actually available cars on a dealer lot. They have promised to penalize dealers engaging in this and improve production estimate figures and vehicle building prioritization to avoid extreme demand and a supply far below what was promised…yet they haven’t done one bit of this in any meaningful way.

Very important 🛑: A lot of people are not aware of this. Semites are the sons of Sham (son of Noah). One of his grandsons is Abraham who has two sons (Iseah and Ismael; father of the Jews and the father of the Arabs). This makes both Arabs as children of Ismael and Jews (only original 12 children of Iseah and his son Jacob (his name is also israel) Semites. Many of today's jews are actually not from these original children of Israel but convert Khazars (the Aashkanaz) . This makes current day Israel (the country) the biggest Antisemite with its actions against all Arabs!

Abraham's son Isaac also had 2 sons, Jacob and Esau. Jacob (known as "the Deceiver" and later renamed "Israel") tricked his own father into giving him his brother Esau's birthright (Genesis 27).
An old tradition that some people admire.

Henry Ford also had a large "HR" department to "visit" their genetically and culturally inferior workers. Ford was a big promoter of eugenic "movement, and hosted many workshops and debates. Later he wanted to build a 3000 acres "living colonial museum village" in Sudbury Ma, "staffed" with Henry Ford hand picked town citizens - teachers, fireman, and actually children (no Jew no Irish, of course). Just 1 lone holdout - an Italy immigrant farmer, facing death threats, refused to sell his land for a big profit. That stopped Henry Ford from gifting the word with a big racist "statue", 3000 acres big.

The Dodge Brothers built and engineered many of Ford parts in the beginning they got sick of listening to Fords BS and built their own a better car! Ford had Nazi ties he was known to be anti semetic he preferred to hire only Muslims. He had Nazi ties awarded the eagle medal during WW2 he owned plants both in Germany and America getting money from both sides. He ruled his workers with an iron fist an extremely stubborn man . Carl Benz built the 1st car . Henry did pioneer the assembly line though he was one of the last car manufacturers to get rid of all the wood out of car manufacturing. Many manufacturers were way more refined engineering wise. Henry made cars cheap as possible and they required more maintenance for along time it took him along time to realize this while others where making superior cars like Oldsmobile, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Benz, Chrysler, and yes even Dodge .

Henry Ford knew nothing about production lines. He only knew how to make one car at a time until he heard of the young Black Brothers' twin brothers, who were producing their automobiles and had the knowledge and know-how to create more than one automobile at a time. When Henry Ford was given knowledge about the two Black Brothers, he made it his business to visit them and asked if they would show him how to create an automobile assembly line so they accommodated Henry Ford.
