  • Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos lost to the Los Angeles Chargers 19-16 in overtime last night and are now 2-4 on the season. The Broncos had three possessions when they were tied at 16, but each one ended in a punt. Wilson had just under 190 yards for one touchdown. Justin Herbert was also held without a TD despite throwing the ball 57 times. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes discuss the Chargers win on Monday Night Football.

Side note, Melvin Gorden would be a good trade to a team that needs a back, but just as another sold weapon. He is not clutch, but for a fumbler, usually before that happens, he has some great runs. He just doesn't warrant being the # 1 or 2 back....

It also doesn’t help not having his best 3rd down receiver as well as starting center. His receivers also do not get any separation, even Mike Williams isn’t the best route runner, but he makes up for it with his hands. Best 50/50 ball receiver in the NFL. The old Russell Wilson never came back from that bad finger injury last season. Go look at the stats, they're steady as rock before the injury, completion % in the high 60's to high 70's, getting aTD every game, one INT in 5 games and a very consistent 115+ passer rating. Then after he rushes back from injury (3 weeks instead of 6) his comp % is the low %50s to low %60s, some games he gets no TDs, throws 6 INTs in those last 9 games, and his passer rating bounces erratically from 39 to 115. He went from a consistently very good QB to an erratic one that goes from terrible to OK, from having a couple bad games a season to every other game being bad. Here's another way to see it, he more bad games after that injury than he did in the previous 2.5 seasons combined.

Funny how the other QB is not being called out. It was a 16-16 game that went to OT, where it was won with a field goal. And yet, 1 QB is getting BBQed, while the other QB is protected by the media. LOL

Melvin Gordon has fumbled 4 times in 55 carries this year. So the reason for the benching in a close game that would probably (and did) turn on a turnover is obvious.

It's miracle that Herbert didn't get murdered. They put a special teams player to play center. To be a center. They already had a back up and then he went down. They put in a special teams player. And against the number 1 defense in the league. Yikes

It was funny guys like you used to scream and kick and defend their quarterbacks of an earlier time against Russell Wilson back then. The tradition continues.
