- Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos lost to the Los Angeles Chargers 19-16 in overtime last night and are now 2-4 on the season. The Broncos had three possessions when they were tied at 16, but each one ended in a punt. Wilson had just under 190 yards for one touchdown. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discuss how much they blame Russ for the Broncos' loss.

A disaster caused chain of events/mistakes and Broncos made so many of them.
Most the fans I saw were ecstatic to g see t Russel Wilson, he is name brand. He's just a different brand then what the wanted. Wanted frosted flakes and you got corny flakes. Lifelong Seahawks fan and have watched every snap russ took in Seattle. He has never seen blitzes well and holds the ball too long. His age and injuries are hampering his mobility which got him out of trouble.
Yep. Denver failed to do due diligence. Anyone who has watched the last two seasons of Seahawks suckiness knew what was coming. Which doesn't change the feeling of mirth and glee...
He also never reads the middle of the field. He only throws short to the line, to the sidelines, or deep down the field. I appreciate Russ for what he did for us, but it was Marshawn and the Legion of Boom that gave us our success. As soon as we lost them and rebuilt the team around Russ and the passing game we started struggling. Russ is a good QB no doubt, and he can make the plays, but he won't be the heart and soul of your team. He doesn't inspire anyone. Once we lost Lynch and the LOB the life and spark left our team. We expected Russ to be the new rallying point but he never was. Nobody rallies around him. I've never heard him speak with any true passion. He just speaks like he's going through the motions, and saying what he's expected to say. He's intelligent and talented no doubt, but he's also cold and clinical. His speeches feel artificial. Remember his emotionless "Broncos Nation. Lets Ride." After the Colts game? Yeah, that's vintage Russ. Shilling the team slogan without any feeling or passion. That's what he is now. He's the best QB the Seahawks have ever had, but he'll always leave me feeling like we should have been more.

I’ve been watching Russ since NC State. I jumped out my couch when the Seahawks drafted him because I knew how special he was. Russ decline started when he decided he wanted to be known as a “pocket passer” he went away from what made him special an that’s using his legs. No Seahawks fan is surprised by what we’re seeing we’ve been seeing this the passed two years.
This has been in Russ the whole time. He's the best inconsistent qb I've ever seen. At his best he played up or down to his opponent. He's never been reliable or dominant

If it were me I'd try and shore up the Oline and try and run the ball better.
I would feed Melvin Gordon who has shown he can be productive in the run game. I would also put in an Hback to help block and run. Maybe even double tight end as the main formation to help shore up protection.
There are plenty of bad players and bad coaches. I just don't think Russ is as bad at qb as he may seem right now.

Like any new job there are growing pains and adjustment sometimes takes a longer time than expected. Maybe it will take the season to get this right for Russell to adjust. But based on his resume, Broncos fans won't wait that long for positive results to show. Odds Nathaniel Hackett will be gone by seasons end if positive results don't happen.

@@meboy3513 his two best seasons statistically came in 2015 and 2019, the Seahawks won the division in both those years and he was ranked as a top 5 qb for both those years, he was elite in both those seasons and his play in those seasons were better than the two where he made the Super Bowl, they also came after he had those Super Bowl appearances, his 2020 season was also very good

I think that Russ's scrabbling ability was a big part of his game. He looks like he has lost a step and now he can't escape rush to make some of those big plays. He still looks somewhat lost, hopefully with time that will improve.

But not hitting wide open tight ends in front of you isn't helping at all and you lose trust in your QB when he can't even do that right :)

You just were watching highlights is the problem, Seattle fans were watching mr. 3 and out for years. The big problem was the GM was watching the highlights only too and sold all the Denver fans a false bill of goods. I've watched every snap of Russel's career with Seattle ..the way the broncos are operating is the same way the Seahawks used to operate. .. excellent defense ,Russ doing enough to keep it interesting, then try to pull it out in the end...I never really bought into the idea that the defense carried us,but looking back at it, the defense did....russ did his thing here and there tho...Russ checked out of Seattle 2 years ago .any Seahawks fan with common sense could see it..Russ the brand has surpassed Russ the football player. I was perfectly fine with the trade..still am...I'm glad we didn't pay him the $$ he was going to command and got from Denver. Russ isn't as bad as he's playing right now but he's nowhere as good as he once was with Seattle ....
Seahawks offense has been horrible for years. I can't watch the offense since they like to chill on the bench most of the time and ask defense do all the heavy lifting, then start playing last minute and sometime they able to pull off a win. Media make WIlson like a super star because of that, while defense actually put sweat and blood on 4 straight quarters.

So I am not suprise he will struggle hard in Denver. I'm suprised Denver didn't do any homework and made so made horrible mistakes to get Wilson. It's blessing for Seahawk, we just hit a jackpot.
