    Several people have requested that I make a sampling video with the Maschine MK3, so here it is.
    Apologies for the shakiness of the video when I tap on the pads, I didn't have my usual camera setup, but I hope the video is still useful for you (and I hope the earthquake dog makes you feel better :D)
    I recorded the samples from TH-cam videos from my iPad - a very nice harp sample, a soul drum break and a bass tone from the Korg Gadget app.
    In the end the beat turned out really cool!

    Man, I have been watching your videos since I invested in the MK3. You make it seem so simple, but I'm following in your footsteps. It's always exciting to see what you can surprise yourself with on the MK3. I just always seem to start a new project instead of finishing something dope. It's hard to finalize a project out here!

    Hey my man. I ended up figuring out the sound issues. Your videos have been helping alot with the maschine mk3. I do have a question though - so ive been making sample based beats in ableton for a while and gotten quick it. I've been diving into sampling into the maschine for fun, etc. In abelton with samples you can WARP the time to fit the beat cleanly, can you do this in the Maschine? I like the maschine workflow but If I cant make the samples warp, it makes more sense to sample in ableton, would you agree?

    • @LowHeatBeats
      @LowHeatBeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you figured it out and that the videos are helpful! There's time-stretch in Maschine but it's not as flexible as Live's warping and you don't have the warp markers to change the timing of each note/section in your sample. I usually prefer Ableton for sampling too, but Maschine is pretty capable too.

  • @jeanlouiscoquin3743
    @jeanlouiscoquin3743 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Personally I like the idea to use the iPad to have more samples and possibilities. I have a Maschine studio and the iPad is connected to a Behringer IS202 docking station, and connected to my sound card. I also use my ROLAND expander xv2020. Maschine from native instruments is a good tool, but the only issue with it is the sequencing point.

    • @LowHeatBeats
      @LowHeatBeats  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, there are going to upgrade the arranger soon, though. And yeah, iPad gives you easy access to samples because you can't browse your samples folder directly from the Maschine hardware.

    Btw, where are you from?

    • @LowHeatBeats

    I'm interested in setting up the samples on individual pads so I can play the sample while also playing the drums at the same time, would love some direction for this thank you

      Can you elaborate on this? I can try to make a tutorial but I don't understand what exactly you are trying to accomplish.

    • @arielbenavidez
      @arielbenavidez 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LowHeatBeats I figured it out! What I was trying to do required me to load the sample to a Group rather than an individual pad. I wanted the sample on a group (for example on pads 5 - 16) and I wanted my drums on the same group (pads 1-4)

    Does maschine have a chromatic tuner if I want to know what key a sample is in?

      Nope, but I’m hoping we will get one in the upcoming update to the software. Meanwhile you can use a free plugin like MTuner.

      @@LowHeatBeats Have you heard there's a definite update coming? Someone in one of the Maschine groups on FB said there's a rumour of an mk4 coming in autumn!
      & yeah I've just been in the charity shops buying cheap old vinyl to try and sample. I've never tried sampling from vinyl before so should be good. Got an orchestral, couple soul and some Spanish guitar vinyl for about a quid each!

      Yes, a Maschine 3 software update is due out this year, check out my community post - www.youtube.com/@LowHeatBeats/community
      There's no indication of new hardware though, not even a credible rumour about it.

    How would u do this just by using the MK3 and no interface ?

    • @LowHeatBeats
      @LowHeatBeats  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The MK3 has a built-in audio interface, so use that and set it up the same way.

    • @LowHeatBeats

      @@prodbyjshep Yes, connect your sample source to the line in of the MK3. For the iPad I used an aux cable (RCA to 1/8 in jack) and RCA to 1/4 jack adapters to connect it to the inputs of the MK3.

    Please slow down and do more explaining. Like what was the point of using the Auto button? And how were you recording that bass from the iPad app? You had it on sampler but didn't record any samples like you did with the harp so I'm not sure what you're doing. People watch to learn.

      I did explain what the Auto button does and also you can clearly see that I recorded the bass sample from the iPad. I have also explained how these things work in other videos I've got on the channel.
