Oh man, this makes me want to see Punch-Out get a competitive scene. Everyone playing the same character but it's a test of reaction time and how to respond to every move
That would be quite funny. Perhaps they could expand upon this mode if they ever make another Punch-Out game with extra boxers.
Honestly pls no 🤦🏾♂️. Its getting annoying at this point that almost every new multiplayer game is becoming more and more competitive. I’d rather punch out just be genuinely fun.

@@yes_and_so_what it has nothing to do with it being a separate mode, COD and Halo both have campaigns, but people want to play for the multiplayer, and the multiplayer is extremely competitive.
for a fighting game, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros? all competitive games with separate campaign modes. Though to varying degree's of competitive scenes, competitive scenes more often than not ruin a game for the casual players more than it helps them. Smash bros is the only game I can think of that hasnt done that, but that has a lot to do with there being so many ways to play that game.

It's funny seeing Little Mac react all bewildered like his opponents when the opposite Mac dodges his moves.
I don't blame him, normally when his opponents don't get hit it's because they block him, he's not used to being dodged.

That was incredible. At every turn my jaw was agape and in awe. That was perfect. We really do need a proper Punch-Out fighting game mode because that was completely immaculate and I'm dying for more.

If a punch ever occurs on the same frame, the game decides who gets priority with RNG. There’s no clashing, so it’s a 50/50 every time.

Dang it, I was rooting for the Black Shirt Little Mac to win. Rooting for one of them to win made this fight that much more intense

In both multiplayer and campaign little mac can recover from a triple knockout or a regular knockout twice per match, although you need to mash the recovery button like mad

That was a war, if I can be honest. Two TAS's trying to predict the other one's movements in this is like watching two chess grandmasters going at move for move, counter for counter until there's nothing left on either side.
This game actually has much depth, and secrets to discover. Me and my brother have played this mode for HOURS discovering so many cool little tricks

The head to head game mode really shows how stiffly and quickly Mac’s animations are in the game. The animations compared to the single player game mode are like nothing!
