I believe that "Now and then" it's belong rather Anthology 3 than any other collection, and it was a great missed opportunity for releasing all the anthologies remastered. I feel that it's fit better inside of this context indeed.
The only part of this song that held it back was the low audio quality of John's vocal recording. Real Love is the most Beatl-y of the anthology tunes in my opinion.
I agree, it sounds most like The Beatles. One thing the Anthology work pointed out was the power of George Martin’s influence. Sadly I hear too much Jeff Lynne in the tracks (not a bad thing, but not a Beatle thing)
I agree 150%! I think this song and FAAB were much more representative of the REAL sound of the Beatles than Now and Then. I’m praying that there are more undiscovered jems to be mined and that it’s not over yet. Their music, in my humble opinion, is the sound of Heaven.

Now THIS will be on repeat!!

There is a great AI remaster of this song here on youtube where they were able to totally extract John voice and clean it up. When I heard it I again was confirmed in my opinion that this is the best post-Beatle-track ever written and it should have been a single. And tbh if they would bring it out now with new technology I am convinced that it would be a hit record.

They should use same AI to go back and extract John Lennon's voice from the noise on the demos for Real love and Free As A Bird. Both need a remix.
