This is a pretty clean and detailed vid.. actually looks like a piece of cake. Hopefully I can get right to it. Lol im praying these bolts aren't impossible to loosen like some brake calipers 🙄🤦🏿♂️. Looks smooth though, and this D.I.Y. video is actually just in time because my coilovers come in tommarow. Thanks bro
It’s really straight forward, the hardest part will be the lower struck bolts because depending on how corroded and how long they’ve been sitting it’s gonna be a mission to take them out and also wiggling the shock out is time consuming. But I did it for my first time and it wasn’t bad. Thanks bro
I had the same look a year ago. Now im slightly tucking tire with a few millimeters of poke 18x9.5 +15. I believe 18x9.5 +22 is the most popular i’ve seen on this car and it’s flush so if you want functionality increase the offset. But the higher offset you go may not clear brembos
Hey man, great job 👍. Just curious, I'm ready to pull the trigger for these but I still want a good ride with just a bit firmer setup and adjustability. Are these much harder than oem or just a bit? Are they actually good quality? I'm used to Bilsteins but they aren't available for our TL. Thank you for your time both on the video and the question!
I just recently brought a set to replace my old set . One of the fronts leaked out on me and was dead. Noticed yours sit right above the wheel , mine has the wheel tucked . I'm rubbing the fender on turns, scraping the bottom going in the driveway smh . I don't have the spring compressed at all an it makes no difference. Wish mine sat like your front does. My first set from 4 years ago the front sat right above the tire ...loved it . Not now lol
how did you ever get that bottom bolt off that connects fork and lower control arm im having difficulty too installed rears just fine but that bolt wont budge for me
After lowering the car have you had any trouble with suspension components or did you upgrade the ball joints or axles ? I’m want to install the same tein and any advice is welcome Thanks and keep up the good work
I haven’t had any trouble with anything after lowering. Only think I recommend is an alignment! Which one you lower you’ll need to get an alignment kit .
You will need the impact is youre reusing the top hats. Since the top hat is on the oem strut and can’t loosen that top nut with just a socket and wrench cause it needs to spin faster then the shock its self.
I would spend a bit more money for the advance or flex. The adjustable damping makes a big difference. Plus tein r made for us roads, bumpy roads. It’s not going to be super stiff for like track use.
Perfect vid mine just came in today for my 07 TL will definitely be following the steps in this vid🤙🏾nice stance bro
Damn best video on yt for TL install I just did mine based off this video and I did it perfect thanks for the video homie ! It really gelped
One of the best vids on this subject and TL's some other guys have shitty vids. Good job bredren

You ever get an answer I’m in the same boat as you lol
Ride is about the same on TEINs. I’d say after 20-25k miles it begins to get a stiffer ride. But overall 8/10

Looks good perfect height
Great Video!

WD40? Or beat the hell out of it. That’s what I’d do. Maybe heat treat it? the one I couldn’t get out I just beat the hell out of it and it came out
How low did you drop the car
when putting plates on, how do you keep the rod in the middle from spinning?
You have to use an impact. You won’t be able to do it by hand.
Good video thanks for the help

I have to super street on my tl with the edfc controller. Neat features. Its a old setup but works. Going with either advance or flex next time.
Is the impact wrench absolutely necessary? That's what I meant about the impossible bolts.. lol. Is it doable with a Socket wrench set or no?
You will need the impact is youre reusing the top hats. Since the top hat is on the oem strut and can’t loosen that top nut with just a socket and wrench cause it needs to spin faster then the shock its self.
did you have to replace any control arms or ball joints and get a camber kit for this install?
How many inches you dropped it ?
What did you do for a camber kit?
How long did it take you?
How many hours of labor did this take??
You need the top hats for rear too?
No just front
where'd you get that front bumper?? or is that the regular A-spec one
Regular front Aspec
Hope For More Content , We Meed More TL Content 😂😂
Got you brotha, next video is my camber kit install ... cause when you lower the car rear tires wanna stick out and I don’t like!! Lol stay tuned
How many inch drop?
Did you replace anything in the suspension before you installed them?
If I have the money you think I should go with BC instead ?
Of course!!
@@vicstl5331 I feel like your front ride height is perfect am I wrong ?
Hows the ride compared to stock?
Feels pretty much the same. Little bounce here and there but no big difference.
I would spend a bit more money for the advance or flex. The adjustable damping makes a big difference. Plus tein r made for us roads, bumpy roads. It’s not going to be super stiff for like track use.
how they doin now
They’re still solid!
Did you have to do an alaignment after the install and if so where did you take it to?
Typically you should do one. But I didn’t 😬😬
@@vicstl5331 how does it ride?
Where did u get the coils from
Ordered them on EndlessRpm
Did the suspension get any stiffer after installing these?
Stayed about the same. Bounce here and there
man those back strut towers are a bitch to get to
Done tein come pre load already? Shouldnt it be plug in play?
All coilovers come like this. You can open them all the way up so you don’t need to compress the springs.
damn this actually looks easy to do, will be doing them on my TL. I see you from IL maybe?
Yes I am! Lol
you need spacers bro.
Tell me about it!! 😂
