I've had mine for 6 months now and have ran 1100 rounds of everything including hollow points. Not a single FTF/FTE and I love the old military low profile sights. Aim small and shoot small. It is a defensive weapon and a point to shoot handgun. It has always been that way and is not designed as a accurate target shooter but it can certainly hit accurately up to 50 yds and hit a 12X12 every time with practice. That's plenty good for anybody. Browning got it right 113 years ago.

I bought one in Feb 2023 as a companion piece for my CMP acquired service grade 1943 Remington Rand M1911A1. The Tisas is an impressive representation of the M1911A1. The fit and finish are beyond the "value" price (mine was $472 out the door with FFL and shipping). The feed ramp is almost "mirror finished" out of the box. I ,although it didn't need it, blended the polished area up the rear of the barrel. JUST because I could. To date it hasn't failed to feed or fire anything I put through it. You can see the pride of craftsmanship by the minimal machining marks inside the slide or dust cover. At the range, I have been very happy with the accuracy even with the GI iron sights out to 50 yards on steel targets.. it is a ringer.

I think Tisas is still working on slight changes, over the past year, I base that on reviews like this one. Tisas started offering a "USMC" model, "Remington Rand" clone from WWII. Instead of cerakote finish, they put a pure magnesium phosphate (parkerized) finish on my USMC 1911A1. The box included two MecGar magazines, instead of Checkmate magazines. @@firearmsaddictloveguns you probably already have my little pet load honestly. my Tisas 1911 seems to like bulleye more then anything. at 5.2 gr's it does surprisingly well with a hornady 230 fmj. i usally size mine up to 1.276" that usally do the trick. not trying to pound the gun to death, ya know. its at about 871fps. rem primers 2 1/2 but cci large pistol works just fine.

Winchester used to build a legend of a .22 lever gun, now the Turks do it for a 1/4 of the price and it definitely shows, its like holding a warm turd its so cheap looking and feeling. I feel all we do now is punch out or settle for junk.
@@panthermartin7784capitalism and greed could be a contributing factor. The industry I’ve worked in for 35 years deals with many small businesses. It’s crazy the mandates that the government puts on them. I see it on a daily basis and much of it isn’t necessary. IMO I’d hate to think what they put gun manufacturers under.
Just got mine today! Amazing value, imho.
That’s awesome, I agree they are an incredible value. Thanks for watching the video.
I own one also ,,having said that I have 2 1911 WW2 version and the new tisas ,,,can't really tell the difference,, trigger pull is about the same on both and both shoot fine nice piece,,,tisas
Thanks for sharing your experience. I agree it’s hard to tell the difference, they are an incredible value.
@@firearmsaddictloveguns yes they are my dad gave me his,,, the WW2 version
@@rayrisley4324that’s awesome that it was your dad’s. I have my grandfather’s service pistol from WW2, it’s a Beretta. I even have his carry card from when he was an MP.

Beautiful!
John thanks again. You’re the best.
Is this a re-upload?
Yes it is, thanks for the additional comment to help with the algorithm!
I love mine! $329, Black Friday, Palmetto State Armory.
They are really nice pistols. That’s a great price you got. I appreciate you watching.
Love mine!
They are great, especially for the price.
I have 1 and I love it, it's also surprisingly comfortable to carry concealed inside the waistband
They are really good pistols. Thanks for watching the video.
Nice package!
Thanks Marc!
Just picked one up nice
That’s awesome, I hope you enjoy it.
@@firearmsaddictloveguns Thanks
Is yours really marked Model 1919A1 US Army on the slide?
It should say Model 1911A1 US Army.
No I’v had a Browning 1919a4 machine gun since 1999 and it was just an honest mistake.
I figured it was an honest mistake. And now I can say I know someone who owns an M-1919 haha. Of course to the anti gun folks we can say you only use it for hunting squirrels on your property.
I have one very nice good shoot
That’s awesome, I agree 100% and they are hard to beat. Especially for the price.
I did gets my hand on both tisas 1911 and colt 1911. I do get it its a budget quality 1911. But you can't compare with colt. Its like comparing between mazda and Mercedes.
That’s true, I recently got my first Colt. It’s a 10mm Delta Elite my oh my it’s amazing.
having a déjà Vù moment here, (i think). ha.
I like mine that i have, granted not the excellent case like you have there, but exact same pistol. they are really darn good guns. proformace pistols really. i handload for mine and can really put some rounds tight together on paper. this one might be a good one for the Ransome Rest.
i got a pet load for these if your ever interested.
good reveiw. see ya laters. stay warm.
You’re correct about. Déjà vu on this one. I had to repost the video. You read my mind about the Ransom Rest. I am planning on doing that. I have to finish with the Ruger Ammo Test first. Every time that I have time to film, it’s either raining (too dark to film) or it’s been windy. Oh well I guess that’s just wintertime. I would love your pet load. I currently have a bunch of .45 loaded, but I’m sure I’ll be going through some.
@@leadrfly2004 that’s perfect, thanks for sharing the load. I’m with you about not pounding the gun too much.
What about optics?
This model does not have an optics cut. I’m pretty sure some other Tisas 1911’s do though. They should have the optics ready versions listed on their website.
2.4 lbs is not 2 lbs 4 oz. 16 oz in a pound. Each .10 of a lb. = 1.6 oz. 4x1.6= 6.4 The Tisas weigh in at 2 lbs. 6.4 oz. or 1088.622 gm. Hope this helps.
Good point.
Is there a way to remove the lanyard loop?
Yes. Remove the mainspring housing and remove the pin for the lanyard in the mainspring housing.
Hard to beat a 1911 trigger
That’s for sure, J.M.B. was a genius. Over 100 years later and still hard to beat.
Sorry, but .4 of a lb is not 4 oz. That's just shy of a half lb which would put it in the 7 oz range.
Thanks for the info.
Model 1919 ?😅
Did I say 1919 instead of 1911? I must have been thinking about my Browining 1919a4z
foam rubber? 1919??
?
@@firearmsaddictloveguns u said it
@@RocksNRuts4 I just listened, you’re correct, good catch. I said it’s labeled 1919a1, it’s actually labeled 1911a1, I’ve had a 1919a4 it’s a belt for machine gun. I guess I’m just used to saying that. The part about foam rubber is referring to the box, on that one I say let’s take a look inside the box, it’s lined with foam rubber. Sorry for the confusion.
Not that it really matters but 2.4 lbs is not the same as 2 lbs 4 oz
Good point, thanks for the clarification and for checking out the video.
WHO MADE TISAS.
They are made in Turkey. I believe the name of the company is Tisas. I hope this is helpful to you.
Seriously, has anyone ever used to take down tool to take a 1911 apart?😂😉
I’m sure someone has.
👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you

That finish is OD Green my ass!
?
@firearmsaddictloveguns I own the same Tisas 1911, and it's 100% not OD green buddy. One is made with a gray-ish type finish, and other Tisas 1911 WW2 replica 1911s they make are parkerized. They don't do OD green finishes on their 1911s. Rock Island has, but not this specific version of the 1911 you have in your video. Either you're mistaken or colorblind. With that said great video, you just got the color wrong.
@@spartanlukasOK, here is the information from Bud’s Gunshop the refer to the color on their website as US GI Style Cerakote Finish to my eyes it looks green, especially when next to a black or blued firearm.
