From personal experience. You need to drag something heavy and want it done without a big fuss; Get one of the Kolob's Need to transport up to 2 point cargo through the worst conditions (Imandra *cough*); Use the Antarctic Need something versatile that can deal with Ice; Azov 73210 is your friend (as long as you stay away from any rough bumps) Dan is solid enough to serve as a heavy crane platform Boar i didnt realy use appart frome some Logging missions so i cant realy say anything about it

While for these beasts the tipping point could be just for fun, the turning radius is a very important characteristic in tight spaces. My personal favorite is the KOLOB 74760 due to its high travel range and grunt in the engine.

What makes the Boar even much more impressive is that it can equip highway transmission whereas most other heavies are limited to the slow advanced special. Put the Boar H in highway and it pulls heavy trailers like a ferrari. It's ridiculously fast. Also turns much tighter than other heavies and has one of the highest saddle height. This makes it a very fast heavy hauler. I discovered it very late in the game, but now it's my fav heavy truck. It just needs all the upgrades to shine.
All events should have been made with pulling a trailer and semitrailer, not simple trucks. Remember these are meant to pull stuff, not race around on the empty,

There’s a mod that adds the B6A tractor from mud runner back in. That little thing has pulled mine and my buddies heavy trucks out of so many mad spots with ease

@@Baleent7 the videos are a good even set of tests but when it comes to in game missions etc I've found they don't represent what I've seen. I can't even remember the last time I had to use the winch on the DAN
Which is the exact opposite of my experience at least when it comes to the Dan, I've never had to rescue a truck as much as I needed to rescue the Dan. I used it on Zimnegorsk to go from the garage to the oil field. Got stuck before I got to the river, got stuck in the river, got stuck going up the hill right across the river, got stuck even in places which I deemed easy to travers with other trucks.

Azov 42-20 for me as well - just a great all round truck except the crazy fact it's can't have chained tyres despite it's name and the truck it's modelled after - the devs really missed the boat there big time. I use the modded version (Azov Iceberg) and it was the only way I could get through Kovd (and even then I only got about 80% done - lost the will to live after all that grind over rocks and deep snow). The Dan and the Boar I hated and sold but to be fair I didn't try them for that long so maybe I missed out there. And I've not used either of the big Kolobs. I mostly use the BHF Tayga 6436 (all specced up) for everything - never ever lets me down. I know some people hate mods but I'm not into self-harm ;-) so I use a few good (not OP) trucks to help me enjoy the game better

I consider it extremely valid more than the others. It's not fast but offers steady performance.
The Boar got really overrated in these tests. With tiny, non-mud tires, a topheavy build and outrageous fuel consumption it's fucking useless in the field. The Azov 42-20 and Kolob 74760 are by far the best offroad vehicles in the game and the obvious choice for heavy duty work in Russian mud/snow, while the Azov 73210 is a cumbersome but supremely versatile workhorse, long ranged, ridiculously powerful, impossible to capsize and able to fill basically any role. Thanks to its huge wheelbase and low center of gravity, it's hands down the best truck for putting a heavy crane on, and also makes a great log cart + crane, maintenance/rescue, crane+flatbed+trailer, or really anything else. Basically all of your tests nullify the huge advantages that permanently-difflocked trucks have. The best ones (such as 74760!) are able to rip through deep mud in high/auto that would completely stop other trucks in low-, and yet because of these tests they appear hardly any faster at all or even slower.
All of the trucks here are good in specific situlations so they are pretty equal imo. And yeah, the azov and Dan are not the best mud crawlers but they serve their Purpose.

Why is the boar so hated, literally one of the best trucks in the game, I’ve never had a problem with it and I’m gotten through some parts faster than the AWD TS, only issue is the long overhang on the front end
@@UnluckyLux That's the issue with the boar. It's fine performance wise, looks good, has more versatility then some other heavy trucks. But it struggles to get from point a to point b without running out of fuel. I can get similar performance out of my P12 and almost double the range.
When i just round the dan i thought it was a prettig good truck but later on i GOT stuck in a bit of mud with a trailer behind it that was the moment i took another truck and sold the DAN

Well, how about to make a Point to Point delivery, with same heavy cargo like long logs in all type conditions like deep mud, climbing a hill, some snow, forest, whater, crosing rivers, With SAME high mud tyres dimensions, and at The finish we shall see The REAL consumption of Fuel and what Time, and where they stuck, because you see, tayga truck îs very fast with low load, but with some high and în deep mud or snow, azov is better 😉🤔
The boar deserves more people to talk about how ridiculously bad it is. Something about the combination of tiny tires, terrible fuel economy, fuck all frame options and a higher center of mass than the Antarctic all kind of makes it completely fucking useless for everything.

I find the pacifics are good for offroad logging especially the P16 with some of the best offroad tires in the game

Yes tipping point can really unstick your whole mission and some trucks can be very prone to that

its actually pretty good, it has a good power to weight and has mud tires, its pretty good in campaign when used as a heavy crane truck
It's really not that bad, the only significant complaint I have for the dan is that it has the turning radius of an Iowa class battleship.
