To this day I won't forget spawning in some forest, going for a bit and seeing "Latvija". I click Latvia (in country mode) and it's Estonia. I am an idiot.
I just did this on Urban United States until leaving the state, and I come to find that my spawn location was about one mile away from where I lived from age 2 to 5.
I remember playing something like this long before Geoguessr even existed. There was a script or website or something that would drop you in a random street view location, and your goal was to get home. The most common "out" was finding an airport, because even the smallest passenger airports should have flights to somewhere that could connect you.
I just did this challenge first go. I spawned by Jambatan Jalan Madirono in Benut, Johor and travelled to the Second Link Bridge crossing into Singapore. I found where I was within in a few minutes. I took J170 to J107 to E2/AH2 to E3 to Sultan Abu Bakar Immigration Customs where I got stuck by a small coverage impass, backtracked to the closest highway loop, got onto side roads, then managed to click-hop back onto the E3 beyond customs and continued on the E3 across the river to Singapore. 😀
cool idea. good way to learn a new country and get a good sense of the vibes plus navigating along the way makes it easier to remember. wouldn't be too bad if you're listening to a podcast or something in the background, but maybe not xmas tunes
True story: I just watched this video and tried the challenge by myself, but only in Europe. First try: I spawned in the UK, so I was like "It's impossible", so I guess anywhere in the UK. The point was actually in Northern Ireland, 9 km away from the border. Knowing the good way, it took me 5 minutes to redo the path on Google Map 😭
@@rieki3163 greasyfork.org/en/scripts/460683-geoguessr-path-logger here you are, idk if you have any more scripts, but you have to have Tamper monkey to run it
This was a very enjoyable video!! I really liked the edit, it condensed the 50 minutes well whilst still showing everything that needed to be. This would be an interesting series. I'm about to make half an alt account to like the video :)
This is something I always wondered about. What if play it until you're outside of the country? Would you then be able to guess the country you're in now and grt it right or the place your originally spawned?
great video, would love to do this concept on my channel. Don't wanna step on your toes tho, let me know if im allowed :) I would of course give you massive credit at the beginning of the video and link your channel
I’m not sure if it’s possible i started in Los Angeles and i was trying to go as far as possible and my round reset by the time i got to Yuma, Arizona.
(1:55) I wish people could say kilo-metre properly as the prefix and unit it is. It rhymes with centimetre, millimeter and so on. It's not "kulom eater", it sounds so bizarre.
Part two is out now!!
yahoo
bro who hearts their own comment 💀
imagine he got like russia or midwest us lol
Eh, depends on if you're close to a border south or north respectively, but it would be very boring regardless, not to say hard to place
If I got us, I would probably just try to get out of state
Tbfr im making another video rn where i started in basically the dead center of the USA...

Getting any African Country with this is a death sentence. But honestly this guy is super underrated
Eswatini is doable
