Car jumped into limp, 5 minutes on Google and found this vid, plugged in and confirmed, off in 10 minutes and split in the same place. Nice one for the vid saved me god knows how much of a headache 👌
Thanks for the video. I searched the code and came across yours. The intercooler pipe had become detached at the bottom. Reconnected and it was all good.
Had exact same problem. Seems common on these cars. Throws up MAF fault but further investigation clearly shown a split rubber boost pipe. Very easy fix. Cheers

This is amusing. I had this go on my Vectra 2.2 DTI Elite auto (Great car buy the way & i still miss it, owned it for 10 years). If i remember correctly that hose is very expensive around £120 from Vauxhall. You can get a better reinforced non Vauxhall hose for around £45-60 off ebay. The garage i used at the robbed me of around £190 to fix it, as i was away from home at the time so i didn't have any tools or space to try and fix myself. Also i had another old Vectra 2.0 DTI another solid motor and never any issues in 8 years of owning it other than tires and a rust heat shield. One day engine management light came on traced it to a tiny leak on a breath tube from the fault code. £2.85 fix dont in 5 mins. Vauxhall get a hard time, ive had a few and never had many really bad issues
I has same problem replaced turbo pipe same problem replaced maf sensor same problem even got talked into changing glow plugs all 4 £90 each and same problem. Turned out it was a seal between inlet manifold and throttle body gasket had blown out.
Great video this is exactly the same split on my car garage just charged me £170 for air flow meter change but missed this split going back tomorrow to demand job done correctley

Don't want to believe it's the hose again, there's no oil on the pipe also. Any ideas?
I am having slightly similar issue but it did not go into limp mood still driving. I have two codes (P0069 & P2282) which is about Barometric Correlation (Manfold Absolute Pressure and air leak between throttle body and intake valve) what do you suggest guys to start with??
advice needed...Service Soon Vehicle message and after test the P2282 code was displayed. i've removed the intercooler hose, the throttle body and the plastic tube between those 2, put them to air pressure and was no leaking in the hose and tube....the car accelerate good in revs above 1800RPM and i've manage to reach even 200 km/h easily....but in low RPM at 1300-1700 the car is very lazy and doesn't accelerate properly even a little black smoke puffs...what should I check next, would the intake manifold be cracked? 2.0 CDTI 160hp

Search ebay for insignia boost pipe. There’s 3 pipes in total, one from the turbo, one that’s in this video, then the solid plastic part. Should be around £20 to replace, just make sure you order the correct side
God knows how this car got awarded best car.. The earlier model reg 09-15/16 parts are made up of crap material as that pipe and the oil pump seal are the main common faults which cost .... The Oil pump seal costs around 10 quid, but the labour is bonkers and that pipe isn't cheap either to replace, but a easy fix for any capable person
Mine goes in limp when flooring ir when engines cold.. so if u drive sensibly until the engine warms up...everything is fine. Is this the same problem?
thanks for posting this, attempting to do mine but have fallen at the first hurdle in removing the lower grill, how to you get it off ? can reach the side of it from the back but it wont push out
AlexandruAlex The ESP fault will be a result of the check engine light coming on , when the check engine light is on it prevents the ESP taking control of the electonic throttle if it needs to during an ESP event , fix the check engine fault and the ESP warning will go off too 👍
@@MVS501 thanks bro! My problem is when ESP is on (check went off by itself), esp is on, acceleration dosent respond at all ! I have automatic insignia. So i did in drive and drive without acceleration, after moving the steering wheel legt right esp is gone and i can accelerate again ans go home...on tester i git P2282 P2182....

Have this code on my astra, but it starts for a minute then cuts out. Could this issue cause it to not tick over?
