    It is always a great pleasure to listen to the professor Schein or read his great books. What I like the most about Schein's books is his magnificent way of explaining complex issues in easily understandable and impressive language. Your books helped me tremendously to comprehend such a complex phenomenon like culture, encouraged me to study deeper the organizational culture and conduct my research about such an interesting and multidimensional phenomenon.

    I have learned that this is the way introverts communicate naturally. As an introvert i have always heard that this way is seen as weak, doubtful and indescisive. At a certain point in my life i let that view go. Now i act as my true authentic genuing inquiring self and it brought me a lot.

    This is a GREAT book, a MUST read (or listen) for 100% of the leaders - globally. There is only one thing I feel I must comment on (on the downside). The use of the term "subordinates". For me, this is a turnoff and this term (at least in the audiobook) should be replaced with Direct Reports. However, this book provides so many insights, offers so much wisdom and set the direction for a much much needed world-wide transformation, from task-oriented cultures to relationships-oriented culture. Transformation from Individualistic culture to a team culture! Thanks!!!!

      Hello, I agree with you in the term of subordinates. I think it is outdated and a bit rude, leaders should be responsible for the terminology used in their organizations. Regards!!!

    I had the great fortune to be part of a truly high performing team that achieved extraordinary results---delivering a new critical new product for our company in record time. I have always believed that the regular pot-luck lunches we shared played a significant role in achieving the level of performance we did. It's interesting to hear Prof Schein advocate that sharing a meal is a relatively simple but absolutely profound way to build relationship. I absolutely agree with this. Thank you for this excellent short talk.

    Thanks for sharing, I'd be very interested in hearing you discuss about the particular problems with Humble inquiry across hierarchal boundaries. Does that discussion occur in some of your newer books?

    Good reminders. Just seems so dated. I did not hear anything I didn't already know.
