I still have my older T4 that we spent many nights outdoors, just picked this one up a couple of months ago. Awesome tents, worth the investment for a lifetime of memories.
Loved the video. Best part was the ridgies. I have two myself. Only one likes to go camping with me. Haha. Have the same one, but overland edition in my cart. The video helped quite a bit in getting me closer to pulling the trigger on it.
Love it! I'm researching tents for us - 2 seniors that are looking to start camping. We need easy set up and tear down and space to stand tall, not crawl at all. The Gazelle T4 Plus is leading the pack so far. I appreciate your review. But.... Roll Tide 😉😘 Lol!!
Hey beautiful...talking to the puppy. The bag looks heavy. 11.28.2021/ I made a purchase; will be taking it out this coming week. Thx for the excellent review. I added the gazelle gazebo too...for my pandemic puppies.
Aaahhhh!! Where did you find one? Everywhere I’ve looked, they’re out of them. Not really complaining. Just curious. I’ve preordered but won’t get until end of April.
So I have the T3, and am looking to upgrade to this model. My main concern was it fitting in the back of my Taco (short bed). Seems thats not an issue!!!
This is a very nice tent and has received many positive reviews on YT. However, there seems to be no follow up reviews. Now that you've had it for a while, what do you think about the "front doors"? One reviewer mentioned that it is impossible to pull the zipper all the way down from inside, and that it is not easy to close the bottom of the doors completely to prevent insects from coming in because it is somewhat difficult to completely close the velcro. About the velcro, do you find the fabric/loop side frazzling out and not sticking well after repeated opening and closing? I think velcros invariable wear out. I wish they had put in zippers for the door bottoms. Also, what has been your experience using it in heavy rain? Was there any leak? Maybe you can put out a follow-up video on this tent? Thanks for your help.
Best review I’ve seen so far! Thanks! ~ Maria Ps. What is the ventilation like on the screen room side when the walls are down? I noticed that there are no windows in the privacy walls like the Clam Quickset has so that you can allow some airflow when more privacy or weather protection is needed
The one thing you didn't mention is the weight. I'm a single female and I like all the positive attributes of this tent. I have ordered one (it's on backorder) and after I bought it, I saw that it weighs 51 lbs. I know, I should have noted the weight before I bought it, but I didn't. Now, I'm wondering if I should cancel the order. What are your thoughts concerning weight? Do you think a healthy adult female who is 5'3" can handle this tent? Thank you in advance for any opinions you may have.
I did not mention the weight :/ it is definitely a camp out of your car type of tent. Not one to lug around a lot. I think a healthy adult female should be able to use the straps to move the tent around in short distances. It’s not light but also not unbearably heavy. My wife is 5’6” and she’s able to carry it to and from the bed of my truck with some effort.
I'm 5'5, 62 years old and what I just discovered as I just purchased this tent and it arrived about a week ago is that if you take the guts out of it- all the items that will come out separately including the tent stakes and put them in a separate bag that drops the weight about 18 pounds. Now I can lift the bag! Sadly there aren't those handy straps on the ends of the bag that I get with the T4 plus overland. Not sure why they did that.
This video was the deciding factor on me getting one too. It's my understand the tent does not come with the footprint. If you want one, you have to buy that separately. When I ordered mine, I went on and ordered the footprint and also beefier tent stakes.
@@goprojo6831 here's a video of the previous version of the T4 Plus being put away, on the new version we have increased the bag size so now it is even easier to get back into the bag. th-cam.com/video/T91uY2JkhSg/w-d-xo.html
Do you know what the difference between this one you purchased and the T8….aside from the T4 having that large front entry door….which I do like! I’m stuck between either one of those I would just like a helpful input on the two….thank you
From what I can see, the T8 is just two T4s attached like a T4 plus. The T8 doesn’t have the pull away walls to make the front and two sides like a screened in porch. And yes, like you mentioned, no large door opening.
What are the specific floor measurements? Just wondering if official measurement are from Centre of hub walls and the actually floor width measurement is smaller. Thanks
What are the dimensions of the footprint and thickness? Is the purpose of the footprint for added water proofing or to protect floor of tent from wear and tears? Should the footprint stick out a few inches or feet beyond the edges on all sides of the tent, or be totally hidden under the tent?
It's primarily to help protect the bottom of the tent. The footprint should be fully hidden underneath, or it will funnel rainwater under the tent and possibly flood it.
Thank you for the review! I am looking at the T4 or the T4 Plus. I want the Plus but am concerned it won't fit in some tent camping spots. Have you run into this issue? Thank you
I just used my, for few days in camping I m giving 4 sitars out of 5, the risen 1 star to close front tent wont close 100% may be i did not set up right , but i think i did right, my previews tent full close 100%.
There's one question that you didn't answer and that is how big can the cot be that will fit inside the sleeping area? I just bought the T4 plus Overland edition and I'd like to know if I can fit a 7 ft cot inside. I still have a couple of months before I can go camping so I have not set it up yet.
@@goprojo6831 thank you so much! I was starting to worry as I haven't set this tent up yet. Now that you mentioned it do you have any recommendations for an airbed? I'd prefer to have one that's a little elevated since I'm getting old. Thanks again!

Great review. I am torn between the T4 plus and the T4 overland edition because of the footprint and upgraded stakes. How large of a tarp are you using for a footprint? Does the tarp completely cover the whole bottom (t4 side and screen side) or just the t4 side?
I’m using a 7-1/2 ft. X 9-1/2 ft. Tarp. The 7-1/2 ft. Width just covers the tent side to side but the 9-1/2 ft. Is not long enough to capture the tent front to back. So I had the whole back part of the T4 on the tarp and the front open part was only half way on the tarp. I’ll probably get a larger tarp eventually to serve as a complete footprint. The overland edition does look awesome but I couldn’t pass on the additional space.
