Thank you for going over the key differences between the 2 options. I was just looking at both on the site wondering which would be best for me. I’m a wildland firefighter, we don’t camp in the best weather, especially toward the end of the season. The overland would be perfect, ready for any type of weather.
Sir William nice introduction on the overland T4, i currently own 2 T4’s every since I saw your video on the orange T4 when it rained and you sat inside it looked really roomy. I was so impressed I bought 2 haha… Iv used mine on the South Texas beach at South Padre Island and it has held up against the 15 mph winds. I have a video on that. Be safe and keep the vids coming brother 🤙
Curious your thoughts on the differences in the colors. Is the orange obnoxious when you’re in it? Is the green too dark? I’m leaning green but since you have owned both colors, what’s your color preference and why? Thanks. Great video and awesome camping spot!
Same with the stakes, go to the hardware store and get heavy duty nails, about 35 cents a piece, same length, just as thick. I have the regular T4 and that’s how I use it.
I am selling my off road/camping trailer with my RTT. It is no longer easy for me or my wife to climb up the ladder, so we are considering a good quality ground tent. We like this one. It caught my attention that you mentioned that it doesn’t fit inside your SUV. Searching the web for dimensions I’m finding different numbers. Could you (or any of your viewers) confirm the exact length of the tent in transport mode? I do have a roof rack but my preference is to carry it inside. My vehicle is a Land Rover Discovery Series 2. I appreciate the info provided on the video and the reply. Thanks!
@@SirWilliamGoes Thanks for the quick reply. Is that inside the transport bag? The Gazelle website is showing a “collapse size” of 8”x8”x67.5”. Subscribed!
Two issues I’m wondering if you can answer. 1-the Velcro areas that wrap around the poles how do you feel about insects getting in, is there a lot of open area for that? 2- wind, I understand strapping down the sides but what about the top, is it possible for there to be enough wind to push on the top of the tent?
To answer. If insects want in they will get in but I think thats with any tent really. Ive never had wind push in the top although in really bad conditions it will sound like someones breaking in!!
@@SirWilliamGoes I appreciate the reply. Well, with any other tent there isn’t a removable floor so if insects wanted to get in I know that through the floor wouldn’t be possible with a tent where the floor isn’t removable. So for this tent. With how you have seen it, is there a big enough opening around the pole area between the velcro where this is much more possible?
@@moxsteel7195 just don’t take the whole floor off, why? I’ve had mine for several years and never had that problem but then again I’ve never been dumb enough to take it all out, just a few inches to get the dirt out and not in the corners.
@@SirWilliamGoes it looked as if you had left it hooked to the tent as you folded it back up. And was just wondering if it was possible? Wanting to move from the 3 person tent we are using now and like the looks of the T4. But it will definitely need to live on the roof of our FJ.
@@SirWilliamGoes set up time is under 5 minutes. My camping gear is all small as I come from camping off of a motorcycle. I enjoy watching your adventures!
@@SirWilliamGoes Gazelle’s website only has the orange for the T4 Hub Tent Overland Edition but does have green/olive for the T4 Plus Tent Hub Overland Edition ($260 more expensive)
@@SirWilliamGoesfinally found the green overland in stock and love it. Thanks for the great video, helped me finally pull the trigger. I may get the plus soon for when the wife comes along and needs a palace to camp in😜

I agree the overland is the way to go. Thanks for watching
T4 owner thanks to your first video, We purchased the footprint and are glad we did. Thanks.
Awesome!! The footprint def makes a difference
Thanks for noting the difference in the 2 tents👍
Thank you for doing this video. This helped a lot, the website was really unclear on what was different.
Just looking at these tents now and agree it’s not readily apparent what the differences are. Great video, thank you
Their website sucks
Got our T3 Tandem last year. Love it. Gazelle’s rule.
Great video. Thank you. How do you attach it to a roof rack? Ratchet straps?
I actually use the straps on the bag itself and loop them around the rack
Considering getting one of these along with my RTT. Sometimes I just want more space than my RTT provides. Thanks for the explanation.
You’ll get it with this for sure

Good ole 600-1. Love that spot
Thank you for your review, Looks like this has helped my decision for my next tent !
Cool so just the bag and stakes, which not a major deal. Awesome video, thank you.
And footprint pad
Got me one. Love it. Took it to Moab over the RTT.

I like either really. I’d kinda like to see more natural colors just to kinda blend in but orange is nice of camping in areas where folks hunt
@@SirWilliamGoes thank you for this comment. For hunting areas I would rather like the orange
@@SirWilliamGoes wow thats a great point.
The OE footprint and stakes are both quite good and justify the upgrade.
I agree
That tent looks awesome!!! Watching this video makes me want to go camping now. Beautiful view.
Is the footprint worth $90? A tarp is affordable and can do the exact same thing, don't you think?
Yeah just buy a tarp!!

A large bag that will likely go in the back of a truck or on a roof rack should be waterproof. Why would they sell one that isn't?
I like your it is what it is review. Good on ya.
Would have opted for the overland edition but the green is much cooler
Yes was wondering many inches long this tent is inside the bag ? Thanks 🙏
Around 70in I think they say 68
@@SirWilliamGoes ok 👍 thanks kind of long for my Tacoma
Thats the only down side.

Great review!🔥
Can two 33" cots fit with any room to walk between?
Its 94x94 so you’ll have about 30in of walking room
@@SirWilliamGoes I wasn't sure if the tent walls impeded. I really liked your review.
How do you guy out your tent? They recommend guying it out to the stakes. That seems to close. Thanks.
Just out to stakes
@@SirWilliamGoes Thanks.
Nice video. Ive been looking for a new tent and this one is on my list Can it fit two queen mattress comfortably??
Two might be difficult one should be no problem
How long is the tent bag ?
@@chengsoung8907 as long as it is high, LONG!!!

Love my T-4 & G-5
I’m interested in a G5, have you had any issues in high winds are the privacy side covers include.
I have had that overland edition for about a year and absolutely love it. It was great to meet you at Rendezvous in the Ozarks BTW
You as well. The gazelle is def a winter
What a view for a campsite!!
For real!!!!!
Hope the wind dont get up! ...William parachutes off cliff! 😜 Good review man!
Hahah na man Id guy line it if winds up
solid info!
Removable floor should have a stove pipe jack for a stove then I might think about buying this t4
Its not really a winter tent and the material not good for hot tent. Take a look at springbar or kodiak
But it's a good idea too make a T4 with a thicker mylar tent with a stove jack just the way this tent is set up would be a hit
Awesome review Will. I think you’re going to be doing TV commercial soon.
Hahaha i hear ya
So wanted to get one, unfortunatly Gazelle were not interested in supplying the UK.
Piedmont SC here let's get together and go Trailing Sometime
Did I see you leave the foot print on the tent as you put it away?
No it’s separate

that campsite reminds me of Weathertop from lord of the rings
Where were you camping in this video
Alabama
@@SirWilliamGoes my wife wants to camp there. If you'd like to share more information that would be appreciated. :-)
You need to drive a Subaru Outback Wilderness in order to be able to use this tent, or viceversa.
We love ours.
No one talkes about the oven feeling in the texas heat while camping in the t4 😁
Great video
With no wind itll get hot in any temps. Ideally you’d follow the thermometer and stay where its comfortable!!

But we camped with the buddy heater and it was really nice last weekend 👍
