Ive been on Qsymia for three months now. The first month was a lower dose. The second month moved up to 7.5 mg a day. I wouldnt call it an amphetamine side effect. It's more like a coffee buzz for me. I take it first thing in the morning with a small bowl of cereal. It does really lower my appetite. Over 3 moths I've lost 30 pounds. I havent had many side effects. Occasional constipation, lack of enjoyment in food, dry mouth, and occassional trouble sleeping especially if I take the medication later in the day. The cost is US $204 /month. Hope the helps.

How long before appetite suppression kicked in ? I'm only on day 5 of the low dose. All I'm getting is a headache.

I am familiar. Additional side effects I experienced were e.d. and visual problems. I would recommend taking cycling on and off the medication. I lost 35 lbs in 4 months with proper diet and cardio in addition to the Phentermine/Toprimate.

Qsymia helped me lost over 80lbs in 6months. After I stop taking the pill, my weight relapse again!! But this time, even I exercise 2hours everyday, it is impossible for me to lose even 1lb.

Guys!! The pill can’t help you permanently.

My dr prescribed both of the medications as separate pills. Phentermine taken in the morning and toperimate taken before bed. Is that typical?

I was born with pan-hypopituitarism, that which caused, a type of obesity, known as hypothalamic obesity, or h o. This also caused type 2 diabetes. However, pan-hypopituitarism, also caused me to have growth hormone deficiency, meaning that I either did not grow at all when I was born, or, I stopped growing after the first 3 years of life. The growth hormone unjections I took as a child, that while prescribed bby a pediatric endocrinologist contributed to the obesity as well, because HGH, Human growth Hormone either lowers Leptin, that which is our satiety hormone and/or raises Ghrelin, that which is our hunger hormone. However, turns ouut, both Human growth Hormone and Synthetic Growth Hormone can also work against insulin, causing type 2 diabetes. I was born with hypoplastic optic nerves, a hypoplastic pituitary gland, an abscent infundibulum, that which is the pituitary stalk, an ectopic hypothalamus and a corpus callossum, that which is extremely thin. Diet is not my biggest struggle. My most biggest struggle, is appetite and satiety. Therefore, I would highly recommend if I were to take Qsymia, that this drug only be prescribed for people like myself, as that there are no other treatments available at this time.

It's possible, however the amount of phentermine in Qsymia is typically lower than taking just phentermine.

Qsymia is approved for over a year of continual usage. However your doctor might recommend a shorter time frame depending on your situation.

Everyone is different. I hated all GLP-1 classes of medication. I felt poisoned.
I'm on phentermine. I have 0 side effects. I do have ADHD but even 1mg of my ADHD meds were too strong. But with phentermine I feel normal. Absolutely cured my anxiety. I get a little tired because I'm so calm. I don't have any thirst or dry mouth. No problem 💩. ... increase sex drive.
So what works for one does not work for the other.
