- If you're on the hunt for a seven-seater SUV for less than £30,000 then the Kodiaq makes an excellent buy. But spend a tiny bit more and things become a bit more complicated.
For just over the £30,000 threshold you could pick yourself up a Seat Tarracco; a car that's almost completely identical to the Kodiaq underneath. What's more, it comes with more technology and features as standard and, of course, can be had with seven seats. So why should you go for the Kodiaq over the competition? And just how useable are those seats in the third row?

Bought one for the wife in September, due any day now. Seats should be fine for my kids as they are younger but it was a toss up between this and the 5008 for me. Ultimately I like the looks of the Skoda and the boot is a decent size with all seven seats up. Good review.

Yeh but alot shit it extra, heated seats front and back heated front screen heated steering wheel when you can get Kia with everything on it.
You don't even get adaptive cruise as standard on the L&K as standard now which is a disgrace. Skoda showing their German roots too much these days.

Lots of rattling around, seems a firm ride. Which flies in the face of rural driving.
That might be our rudimentary sound recording/ videographer rolling around in the back. It’s a little firm, sure, but it’s not intrusive.

Seat Tarraco FR Sport DSG everytime. The word cheap or cheaper (or extraordinary cheap as you say) or competitive are words used too often when you talk of Skoda or Seat but when did a car at £30,000, much more with options ever get called ‘cheap’. 7 seats, you’ll get a second hand Nissan X-trail with 7 seats for well under £20,000, that’s cheap! Still can’t buy a Skoda, everytime I think Skoda I think Lada.
Skoda make grandad looking cars. Stick with SEAT or VW.
