Sarah’s video after video after video after video online of domestic cats in a situation with an alligator facing off the cat, all of a sudden strikes anywhere from once to several times rapidly and the alligators takeoff to the water. So this giant cat around big alligators, or their ancestors crocs is no surprise to me.
I remember this male leopard as being the one that frustrated it's mother to such a degree that she smacked him and damaged his eye. He was of the age that it was a parting shot and he was on his own. he cannot hunt as well because of his one eye, and it very well could be the same leopard.

Too many crocs. Hippos aren't as aggressive towards them as people think. With this many of them, the hippo would be in serious danger of getting chunks bitten out of it.
Hippos and crocs mingle in the water all the time, so it's perfectly normal. But why the crocs don't attack the leopard? Would have been easy. Animals don't think the same way we do.
Hippos and crocs are generally tolerant of each other, they're usually seen basking together on banks, baby hippos have been seen basking around large crocs and juvenile crocs are seen basking even on top of hippos

Nile crocodiles. The cladistical families _Alligatoridae_ (gators and caimans) and _Longirostres_ (crocs and gavials) split already almost a hundred million years ago. Hippos are so large and dangerous they can basically just ignore other animals with impunity. A pride of lions _may_ be able to take down one on dry land but that's always a chancy and risky endeavour and large Niles sometimes gang up on bull hippos injured in territorial/mating-rights fights with their peers but that's pretty much it. Most of the time the crocs and hippos basically just ignore each others' existence and a leopard is an object of idle curiosity at best. (At worst, well, hippos are the _other_ toothy reason most African wildlife is genetically afraid of water.)
