@@beintentional982 that depends on the person for me it is but for you it could be different. You have to search for your WHY. Another words why are you getting into it and not just for the money.
@@outwithjohn yeah it has actually been a little hard for me to comprehend it all but I am starting to get it down now. Just keep at it every single day spit at least one to two hours every single day or more on learning it
it's not about learning programming language, it's engineering. You need to know how to program, how computer interprets the code how can you design algortihm etc. When you managed to understand logic behind it, you don't need to learn programming languages you just use it. I reccomend you to check data structures and algorithms first, then check the c language. Do leetcode and sharpen your skills. Then you can learn some frameworks that worth money (React, Angular, Laravel, opencv etc)
I would think wholly differently. You can learn at least one pretty quickly. Knowing two gives you some leverage. In order to get the job, you'll need to prove you can solve problems with code. Nobody will ask for it in two languages.
Proof that all if not the majority of these marketing videos regarding software engineer careers are a bunch of BS. I knew the former already. But it's refreshing to see a video that tell the truth.

Ticket number 47 was interesting since I'm 47 and starting over and teaching myself coding. I am a work in progress for sure.
Hi. Please do you think it's still worth it? I think of starting self taught

Awesome! I'm 49 and am going through Leon Noel’s 100Devs bootcamp here on TH-cam. It's a challenging field but this is what I want.
I’m learning too I’m gradually picking it up

Hello.
Do I need a degree to be a programmer?
honestly... no, you need a public repo, you need a hosting service, and of course use it to showcase what you can do as a developer
