100% agree with you. The stock, currency & commodity markets around the world rally strongly (especially currencies & commodities) after the announcement. The markets are still FIGHTING the Fed. This will make the financial condition loose again and cancels out certain efforts what the Fed has done so far. This means that the rising predicted terminal rate may ultimately go even higher.

Has got to be Stocks but of course, you have to be well informed on the right ones or better still, get a pro to handle it for you (that way, you save time and minimise risks). Made my first million this way earlier this year. One more thing, one can wake you up by 2am to complain about a leaking pipe, the other can't.

Thanks Ken. My company just restructured, and even though I’m highly qualified I’m getting more declined applications than ever. Got an offer yesterday that was lower than my current salary. Job openings might be up, but qualitatively I’m not sure it’s all as rosy as it sounds 🤷🏻♂️

it's worth mentioning another possible reason the fed would pivot: if fed rate hikes cause a us or foreign market malfunction that leads to an asset sale contagion. for example, the recent british bond market seizure could've made the bank of england dump its us treasuries to satisfy margin calls on pension funds, which could have disrupted the global us treasuries market.
Tech companies have been doing massive layoffs in the last few months. Those are very high paying jobs. Seems like a lot of job gains lately are in leisure/travel/hospitality, which don't have high wages.
