The $350 compared to what my bike cost, stock, is about 7%. Are the pedals 5-7% of the ebike? Impo, yes. The quality of these compared to others is undeniable. Would I purchase them again? Yes. I did. Bought pairs for all three bikes. I'd give them a shot.

It all depends how much you value the appearance of legality or discretion. It could be the difference between a huge ticket or court date and riding hassle free in some places. Or turning your pedal Electric bike into a long range Electric moped for longer commutes
@@frankenstein3163 I only use the crank position on the street with the power turned down so that I am basically a legal class 3 eBike. I honestly don’t ride it on the street often and when I do, I treat it like a bicycle and go slow. Off-road I only ride in places where it’s allowed because honestly, I’m not a young man and I can’t be bothered with the hassle. I’m lucky enough to have many other motorcycles, so that I can ride legally effectively anywhere I want to. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.

Without my 190 pounds in the seat its close to 5 inches. I am heavy for the stock suspension so it's probably closer to 3 with my full weight applied. When I have them in pedal mode (on the street only) I just have to be careful cornering. Thanks for watching.
I just put mine on last night. I also put on my Kaniwaba pedal kit 3.0 on last night. Can you use your throttle with you BAC controller? Mine doesn’t seem to work my pedals are the only thing that moves my bike.
Everything on my bike works as it should. Note that if you have the Kaniwaba kit with the PAS - the pedal assist version - that is not compatible with the ASI controller setup.
Great video! I have a question. I just received delivery on my xion bike (horrible bike by the way) and I had them install the pegals. On my first ride the pegals worked great, but on my second ride, the pegals don’t lock in peg mode anymore. It freely spins just like when it’s in pedal mode. Did you experience this? If so, how did you fix it? Any advice would help because neither Xion bike or Greg from pegals is returning my calls. Thanks bud. Really appreciate if you can help.
Not sure what you mean. When they are in peg mode they have to spin if you roll the bike backward, and because of the freewheel will not move (but not lock) going forward. Let me know if that helps or if I am missing the point.
Good video. For the price, I’ll pass and just spend the 5 minutes it takes to remove cranks and put on pegs on days I feel the need. Also crank length was already an issue with the stock kaniwaba cranks so I went with short unicycle cranks. No crank drag
A DirtBike EV with essentially Ornamental pedals. Thanks to all the people riding full armor on XC trails on an EV-MXC, getting my C1 Pedal Assist MTBe Banned (Lifelong Asthmatic) along with all the other REAL E-Bicycles... so I have fewer and fewer places to ride with my MTB RideBuds.
They are a great product but the fact that they are almost $400 is wild, hell my first electric mountain bike conversion I did before switching to stealth bomber was only $600 so you’re telling me I was able to put together a 48v 1000w 13ah ebike for $200 more than these guys can make a set of folding bike pedals.💀 Ps. I used Amazon only meaning I could’ve went even cheaper if I went straight to alibaba probably could’ve done it all for $400 meaning basically same price.

They are overpriced because the maker knows people are willing to pay $$$ to be able to use their EV-Dirtbike on MTB Trails and the pedal kits helps them try and escape a fine.

You need a pedal kit. The least expensive option is the Kaniwaba kit without the chain that just makes it look like you have working pedals.
