The psvita version of mk9 had some exclusive npc's. Most notably Tremor, who uses moves from the other ninjas, theyre even textured to look like earth attacks instead of a copy paste
I think the base x-ray was reused for Mileena's x-ray, or at least the last 2 hits seem very close the NPC's one. Also, in challenge 17 from the challenge tower, you can tag and play as the director, which probably explains why he doesn't have the command grab.
I think it may be like Raiden'a beta X ray,where it was initially planned to be Mileena's xray but was replaced with a more fitting for the character xray. Which I don't mind,Mileena's Xray is nice. And so is MKX Raiden'a
There's two other Challenge Tower characters you forgot to mention. Ruutuu and Cyber Reptile (although in Cyber Reptile's case he can't really be considered an NPC because you can play as him legitimately, but only on Challenge Tower Mission 227.)
The aesthetics of MK9 were always my favorite. The character designs and atmosphere was the best. I also loved the battle damage. It’s a shame they don’t have the battle damage like they used to
Klassic Reptile looks so good, having one special from himself, Scorpion and Sub-Zero, along with that walkspeed and his normals, Reptile looks damn awesome in that version 😊💚🦎

Amazing video! UMK3 smoke is my favorite character to play as. Imagine if they released an ultimate Mortal Kombat 9. That played like street fighter anniversary you can choose versions of characters

I've attempted a Ladder as Oni using a PS3 mod (via RPCS3) and found that Kratos has something that just makes him immune to the infinite jab (he has this like anti infinite counter attack, not a breaker but something else unique to him), Kitana has also gotten out of it once or twice so I don't know if it's technically a true infinite, just a very hard to get out of one? Edit: Scorpion eventually acts like he got popped up so you have to dash toward him, giving him a chance to get out of it, I will keep updated.
What I expected clicking this: "oh neat, I imagine these characters will suck but it would be interesting to see what they're like" What I got: "HEAVENLY POTEMKIN BUUUUUUSTEEEEEER!!"

Man, looking back at MK9 it really nailed the MK atmosphere especially of the old games while "updating" it for the new generation. All these stages look more interesting to me than most of what's in MKX/MK11.

At least in ps3 (it may be in other versions but IDK) there's a challenge during the tower, near the end where you play as shang tsung and you can only press 1 until you get changed into zombie and you have to fight liu kang, who also deal 50% with his regular bicycle kick
It'd be hilarious if they gave one of the Basemale NPCs a chance that they'll just infinite you by spamming 1, imagine the wtf moments of players bein deleted by some random NPC
It kinda irks me that the Klassic MK2 Ninjas didn't have their proper costumes. Like, yeah, I guess the MK2 Ninja models weren't done at the time, but they could've patched them in when they were added to the game. That's all they needed to complete the immersion of revisiting these classic hidden fights in the modern era.

Huh, might check that out on my PS3. Unfortunately I haven't played much with 90% of the MK9 cast, so I can't really give in-depth information about the demo's differences and such.

Yes and no since one of the moves he has is literally Jax's ground pound move which has no change whatsoever.
Smoke is also in line with his MK2 appearance because he had Scorpion’s moveset in that game.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who tries to be more consistent with these costume skins.
Personally I'm very excited to see how far Basemale will go in tournaments.

If you select ruutuu this way, it crashes the game. And cyber reptile is just a reptile with cyborg's mesh.

I missed each robot's unique x day.. there's smoke, cyrax, sektor, and cyber sub-zero have the same damn x-ray in mkx because of triborg.....

Dude! The Basemale command grab is Onaga's grab from MKD! Play it in 0.25 speed during the zombie showcase, the animation is the same!
