The HKS “RB30” is really cool honestly. Doing it with stroke is important because even 2.8 kits make the walls dangerously thin. Can’t wait to see a couple cars with that setup
A two piece pistons because the pin height is so high its above the rings and a short skirt is not what you would call optimum for holding big power. That much stroke is not good for rpm either. There is a reason no one has done it before in the world of big hp GT-Rs.
@@MotiveVideo that totally makes sense. My friend has a built RB30 in his Z and the block is so stout. Hard to make fit but having the extra deck height avoids all the problems of big stroke/bore kits. I’d much prefer how he did it using a true RB30 block and 25 neo head
@@HunterZ32 Australia has proven the 3,.2 in RB30 block many times over. This combination hasn't event been tested properly yet. Will be fine for fan boys in a car park, but what about those who want to make 1000+hp and rev to 9000 and use it. Thats the real question. Hope to be proven wrong.

Hks has been one of the best tuning shops from Japan and making the best tuning parts and they still are! There parts are second to none quality and still are. I’m sure this setup will deliver much more than you think and will serve its purpose. Hks is not about outright power to make 2000hp, if they wanted to do that I’m sure they would be more than capable, they’re known for there unique designs, best engineering, and Balance** as well as delivered power and response. Let’s wait and see what the specs are and the purpose for this setup from hks.

You are correct about the twin outlet coils they run a wasted spark But depends on what you put in place will dictate if they fail or not. The GM MSD coils are a great piece of gear
It's called wasted spark, for instance it will fire cilinder 1 on tdc power stroke an simultaneously cilinder 4 on tdc that is than just done with the exhaust stroke and starts the intake stroke, because there is only exhaust gas the spark goes to waste.
Also not that hks Nissan and Mazda do a herratidge restoration program where you can send your old beat up cars and get the whole thing referbished right down to new chassis body if needed

It's not a 4 liter engine. It's not a 400Z. Please do not refer to it incorrectly. Nissan does not have a Z with a 4 liter 6 cylinder; if they did, it would have been called a 400Z. If you are determined to use the old naming conventions then refer to it as 300Z. But be aware no one is doing that because that is not the car's name. The third time you said it I closed the video because someone who knows cars would know it is not called 400Z and the only reason that name came around in the first place was speculation around the next logical step up from the 3.7 liter V6 being a 4.0 but it is not; so that is not it's name.
Tell Nissan that then, they gave it the name as the engine in it is 3.7 twin turbo. The 370Z already is used so they used 400Z. 300Z was used in the early 90,s.
